You need not be sorry for her. She was one of the kind that likes to grow up. In the end she grew up of her own free will a day quicker than the other girls.
I want this so bad..
Thank you Folio Society for producing this beautiful but so very expensive edition of this book đđđ
Some ghostly creative inspiration today. I Would really like to hear the story behind this one.

Sounds interesting
âIn this enlightening book, scholars and activists Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz and Dina Gilio-Whitaker tackle a wide range of myths about Native American culture and history that have misinformed generations. Tracing how these ideas evolved, and drawing from history, the authors disrupt long-held and enduring myths such as:
âColumbus Discovered Americaâ
âThanksgiving Proves the Indians Welcomed Pilgrimsâ
âIndians Were Savage and Warlikeâ
âEuropeans Brought Civilization to Backward Indiansâ
âThe United States Did Not Have a Policy of Genocideâ
âSports Mascots Honor Native Americansâ
âMost Indians Are on Government Welfareâ
âIndian Casinos Make Them All Richâ
âIndians Are Naturally Predisposed to Alcoholâ
Each chapter deftly shows how these myths are rooted in the fears and prejudice of European settlers and in the larger political agendas of a settler state aimed at acquiring Indigenous land and tied to narratives of erasure and disappearance. Accessibly written and revelatory, âAll the Real Indians Died Offâ challenges readers to rethink what they have been taught about Native Americans and history.â

âWhy you should fall to your knees and worship a librarian!! Ok, sure. Weâve all got our little preconceived notions about who librarians are and what they do. Many people think of librarians as diminutive civil servants, scuttling about âSssh-ingâ people and stamping things. Well, think again buster. Librarians have degrees. They go to graduate school for Information Science and become masters of data systems and human/computer interaction. Librarians can catalog anything from an onion to a dogâs ear. They could catalog you. Librarians wield unfathomable power. With a flip of the wrist they can hide your dissertation behind piles of old Field and Stream magazines. They can find data for your term paper that you never knew existed. They may even point you toward new and appropriate subject headings. People become librarians because they know too much. Their knowledge extends beyond mere categories. They cannot be confined to disciplines. Librarians are all-knowing and all-seeing. They bring order to chaos. They bring wisdom and culture to the masses. They preserve every aspect of human knowledge. Librarians rule. And they will kick the crap out of anyone who says otherwise.â
