Robin Goodfellow - The Wedding
I'm not a fan of puppeteers, but I've a nagging fear Someone else is pulling at the strings Something terrible is going down through the entire town Wreaking anarchy and all it brings I can't sit idly, no, I can't move at all I curse the name, the one behind it all Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon And sleeping in the middle of a summer afternoon
who? @wintersaurora where? outside the tower of the white flame, winter's mountains
Robin stands before the Tower of the White Flame, admiring the work of Aurora's recovered song, as well as the bright shining light emitting from within. It is a marvel, to see something from legends made reality, and in a way, she does envy the Chancellor. She had traveled the Otherworld for 300 years, but never made it as far as they had, had not witnessed the marvels than that troupe had. In a way, though, she had been lucky to avoid the dangers that they had accomplished. Deep upon her musings as she is, it is not enough to erase her awareness of her surroundings, and she senses the presence of the Winter Chancellor's before she sees it.
"Impressive," Robin says with a hum as she keeps her eyes on the building, rather than on the newly minted lunar elf. "How does it feel? The change?"
who? @chancellorxlaer
where? summer’s sands
Robin is by far the least experienced of the Chancellors. Born to the stable reign of Fen’harel, having grown with the belief that the Dread Wolf would protect their court and never harm them, only to be proved wrong by the liar’s own lips. Only to be thrown into a position she had never wanted, her freedom restrained and the weight of responsibilities that grew heavier by the day settling on her shoulders. She had done the best she could, but her transition had not come in a time of peace. No matter what, it never seemed like she had done enough. Not for the courts, not for her court. Not while more than half her people suffered at the hands of their most ancient enemy, not while there was nothing she could do, for her expertise laid on subterfuge and not the full frontal attack the drow required. Her task had been solidified once she had become a Chancellor: to watch the Eye’s moves and undermine them as much as they could. And despite that, she had given one of them the entrance to their last refuge, given Wade permission to enter, and invitation. She had been lucky the only one to pay the iron price had been her, lucky that her mistake had not cost any fey life, but even in this luck, she had been unlucky. For she is weakened now, when they need the Chancellor’s strength to be at it’s fullest.
A sigh escapes her lips, as she approaches Laer’s presence. Robin is in dire need of advice, and although she wishes to go to Meryasek or Aurora instead, she cannot overburden her friends on such a crucial time. Laer, however? He has had millennia to learn how to hold the burden of his position, even in war time, and she faithfully believes that although he does not carry all the solutions, talking to him will at least help.
“I am in dire need of advice,” she comments quietly, as she comes to stand next to the other as they survey Laer’s work at shaping his new domain. “And I would prefer if it’s yours, but if you are too overburdened by current events, do let me know, I can find someone else.”
who? @alekgray
where? the boundary between the King’s Forest and New Rome
“I kept an eye out during Mercuralia, but they are truly getting awfully bold now that the Senate has allied with them,” Robin mentions idly as she steps out of the woods and closer to Alek, a disgruntled look on her face even as she nods politely to the Alpha. They are here to talk business, after all, and she is not Zahrya. It is amusing to see him petting the Lycans, almost tempting to do the same at times, but there is a time and a place for everything, and she doubts Alek would be as enthused with her petting as he is with Zahrya’s. Their bond is rather different to her connection with the Alpha, after all. “Most of that technology was new too.”
who? @wintersaurora where? moon gate, Audulë notes: doing the randomize top songs thing and got super villain by stileto, silent child and kandyle page
"I think we are overdue some mimosas and sweets," she says as she offers the Lunar Chancellor her arm to escort her out of the Fey Forest and towards A Grazie a Brunch. She had contacted the dark elf in charge and managed to reserve them the perfect table for some gossip and snooping. Perhaps if she poked the other enough, she would admit about her apparent taste for members of the Dusk Court, current and past alike.
"I am sure Dareth has done a wonderful job," Robin confirms, quietly sidestepping the affirmation that it would be the bsxt thing that did happen to the court. With the Laurelin above and underneath them, she cannot fully agree with his comment. Still, she can very well see why he would think so, after the long struggle he had to gain his man, as it where. "And I will ensure that I call him by his correct title, do not worry," she agrees easily, a hint of mischief on her eyes as she considers how to address the future King Consort. As much as she admired the fey'ri, as much as she loved him as King, he had burned his crown, and that meant that no longer would she consider him one of her betters, out of respect for his sacrifice. "Are you feeling nervous? It's only twenty-four hours until the wedding, after all."
“Winter Solstice. It will be the greatest thing to happen in all of the courts.” Dareth would make sure of it. And if he didn’t, well, then Meryasek would have to throw a fit of epic daemonic proportions, and no one wanted that. “Everyone will bow to the new Chancellor, the new King of Daemons. Make sure you call him that, I think he'll pass out if he doesn't hear it. This day is his big moment.” He grinned now, especially because he knew Dareth had always wanted a title. Despite the crown being burned, Meryasek still knew of himself as better – he just didn’t show it as much as his lover did, perhaps.
summersiofra:
“Mm, I’m not sure,” they hummed absentmindedly, shrugging after a brief pause, “I asked for one of the best drinks for summer; they had to pull out a blender. I felt pretty special,” Siofra affirmed with a mild grin, garnering a hefty breadth of sarcasm under her belt as of recent. “Well, I’m sure you’ve had a Sex on the Beach, then. That one is my favorite, I make it a must to order it each time I go anywhere with alcohol,” they tittered at the reminder, shaking her head, “I’ve been told their rather vile. But I could be open to the idea.” Siofra had been instructed to enjoy herself as Aurora had other matters to attend to that didn’t involve Siofra clustering in the Chancellors space.
“A shame, but alas, I will have to settle for something else,” she lets the disappointment flicker in disappear as she focuses back on Siofra, delighted to see the summer eladrin after her time away, brief as it was. “A blender? Well, how special. It definitively sounds like something I would have liked,” she admits easily, returning her grin with one of her own. It is rather cute to see the summer eladrin enjoy the mortal realm. “Sex on the Beach is a good one, although I rather enjoy Sex on My Face, a good Cum in My Panties and a good Creamy Pussy. I should let you try those sometime.”
“Oh, and that depends, I rather enjoy tequila shots with salt and lime myself, or we could have green tea shots those are good.”
“I have seen some rather amusing costumes,” she admits with a grin, even as she brushes the image of Zahrya in a changeling from her mind. She had been gone for months, and years before that, yes, but even with what little she had gathered in the last day since her return that was such a foolish idea. One she did not want to dwell on when she could be having fun. Instead, she looks to the Senator and nods in greeting, having not seen her since she had decided to pursue in the States for shits and giggles. “I would apologize that my costume is not as elaborate, but I like it well enough for something that I came up with in less than twenty-four hours.”
location: the steps leading into the palace of pluto person: every single one of yall @senatusstarters
The thing about hosting was that she felt like she never quite stopped moving. When the doors to the main hall had been opened and people had started petering into the palace, she’d stood atop the stairs and met everyone with a smile, pointed them towards the ballroom or the entrance to outside with practiced ease. All of the nerves she’d had about letting just anyone into what she considered her home had quickly dissipated. She’d set a very simple couple of rules in place and everyone had followed them, no one was running around with cat ears and a clown nose yet. Plucking a glass of wine from one of the many attendants, she lets out a breath for posterity and turns to see the next person coming up the stairs. “I do think the costume contest is going to be a nailbiter this year.”
who? @wardercloud
where? summer’s sands
“How are you doing?” She asks, once she finally finds them amidst Laer’s Summer Sands. The Pilgrim had gone above and beyond designing the Summer Court’s new refuge, but despite everything, it is a pale comparison of the home that had once belonged to them. It’s impossible to compare less than a month of work to the countless years and centuries that had been spent on the creation of the Courts. Young and old had come together to create a home, and now it is all lost to the Drow Queen’s domain. It would make her furious, it does make her furious, but she is weighted too much by the grief of betrayal for that anger to manifest. Not yet, at least. It had been the same with her brother’s death, first grief came and overwhelmed her, then anger and the desire for revenge. Her time would come, but for now, she would follow her grief and ensure those she loves are as well as possible with all the circumstances. “The last few weeks have not been easy on any of us, but they might have hit you harder.”
