My Personal Prayer to Abbennaea

O Abbennaea, Radiant Daughter of Phoenix and Sumon, Keeper of Offerings and Purifier of Hearts, grant us thy benevolent presence as we gather in humble devotion. With deep red tresses like the evening flame, illuminate our paths with thy love and wisdom. As we place before thee our blooms and fragrant herbs, transform our gifts into nourishment for all souls, casting aside the hollow and ill-given. Teach us anew the sacred ways, that our altars may be cleansed, and our offerings accepted in purity. O Gentle One, in thy embrace of incense, envelop us in peace, and may thy spirit soar among us as a tender bird, guiding our hearts toward the divine. In gratitude, we honor you, Abbennaea, our cherished goddess, now and forevermore.

O Abbennaea, Beloved Guardian of Alaway's Sacred Halls, we bow before your radiant spirit, wrapped in the warmth of your loving essence. Daughter of the Flame and the Waters, weave your gentle touch upon our offerings, transforming our humble gifts into the blessings of the divine. As we raise our libation pitchers and scatter fragrant blooms, may your grace descend upon us, purging our hearts of doubt and filling our souls with light. Teach us the sacred art of connection, that our incense may rise like whispers of love, touching the realms above. In your presence, let joy flow and harmony reign, as we honor your eternal beauty in all that is pure and good. O Abbennaea, our nurturing goddess, we embrace your guidance with open hearts, now and always.

QUESTION AND ANSWER: MYST WEAR

Question: Does a Bowynn Myst wear any particular clothing/garb like wiccan witches do?

Answer: A Myst wears whatever they are comfortable in. Most will wear at least one garment that matches their person element. (Blue / turquoise for water mysts, reds and oranges for fire mysts) Some mysts do design a special wardrobe (put together) for special events or when they plan an all day magic working. Pointy hats and long black robes are not traditionally what a Myster would wear. Though they would wear black if casting curses and hexes, and attuning to the universal sky.

Question & Answer: Books / BOS

Question: Does a Bowynn Myst have a Book of Shadows like Wiccan's have a Book of Shadows?

Answer: A Myst MAY have a journal or reference book. But it is not called a BOS nor Book of Shadows. This depends on up to the Myst. If he/she has a great memory for spells and spells components, they may not have need for one. Other people may have a book or library of books with spell references. Like-wise a Myst may or may not have a journal book, to record their works. It is up to the individual.

Aelles Tsa'Myliea

Aelles Tsa'Myliea

Blessings and good fortune come to you this Tsa'Myliea.

Indeed today is the first day of the Bowynn holiday of Tsa'Myliea, the celebration of the Winter Solstice. It is the epiphany of the goddess Myliea, the goddess of Winter and her consort Arn, the god of the north and north wind. The first day, like with all holidays is the cleaning and cleansing of homes and temples. It is a day of fasting and purging of all ills and artifacts left over from Autumn. In place of rich and sweet foods, rice bowls and soups are traditionally served. At night a candlelight procession is held with icons of the two deities carried to the temple, symbolizing their rise.

Aelles Tsa'Myliea

On the second day, The Calling Horn is blown at the crack of dawn, indicating that Myliea and Arn have emerged from they northern relm and come to bless the land, allowing Winter to begin. Bringing with them cold winds, snow, frost, joy, harmony and all the fun and frolic of the winter season. While some will start late night feasting this day, its more common to wait till the 3rd day of the holiday. The day is however filling with glorious ceremonies and small feasting. A time to take account of the strength of the home to stand up to winter winds, the abundance of foods stocked away and the amount of wood gathered year long, to last till the warm days of spring. During the evening, tradition has that the officiating priest/priestess will come to the homes and bless it with song and a sacred incense blend. Some would rather spend the evening in quiet vigil at home or temple. A time to be deep in prayer, thanks and gratitude. Sacred storied hold that Arn and Myliea come at night and go door by door, to inspect one's home is well. They will knock on the door with their staves if it will well stocked and safe. In turn a basic of goods will be left at the door. The basket is said to be filled with fruits, 7 candles, a cut of wood, books, tools, recipes and warm cloths. Sometimes sweets, cakes and wine as well. Though these last three are normally reserved to be given from friends and loves ones.

Day three of Tsa'Myliea starts with an early morning ceremony. After which colorful parades are held, foods galore, contests and games and fun all around. The cord of wood and candle are lit just before dusk with a Bowynn hymn to Arn and Myliea. While it is often hard to find the sacredness and divine reason for the holiday on the 3rd day, it is still a holy day and there are ceremonies held in temple and in the home, giving thanks. One should remember it is still a time of sacredness. A time that allows snows and rain to decompose autumn leaves and all left to wither in gardens, turning them into composite, to feed the ground. A time to remind us all to take stock in whatever bounty and abundance we have in the home, cleaning the home and making it strong, safe and warm. People often will take walks on this day to explore and remind themselves of the beauty, holiness and necessity of the holiday

QUESTION & ANSWER: Thanksgiving

QUESTION: Do Bowynn celebrate Thankksgiving (Canadian or American)

Answer: No. That for two reasons. The first being out of respect for the people's whose land North and South America belonged to.

The second reason is because we have a sacred holy festival day on the days of November 14-16th, Emberfest. It is the most holy of Feast and the celebration/preparation of Winter. Sacred candles are lit in the home praying that its warmth light and glow will never fad throughout winter, protecting house and home. Stoves, hearths, ovens and fireplaces are cleaned. Then the officiating priest and priestesses come to the home singing hymns to the Goddess Phoenix, the goddess of primeval and element of fire. The officiants then gift a single blessed charcoal to the home owners. It is lit and there is a roar of joy and love, hoping that abundance and protection lasts the home and family the winter through.

During the festival homes are decorated with autumn leaves, candles, lantern, gourds carved into bird houses and images of Phoenix birds are everywhere. Small and large. The gourds houses are invites for Phoenix's children to come stay in the house and protect it. While it seems this holiday is a feast day, it is more than that. It is a time to give praise and thanks to the goddess Phoenix for bestowing on mankind the gift to domesticate fire for light, warmth, cooking food and casting spells.

A Prayer, A Spell, A Curse

May the immortal gods one and all,

From axis to axis, from pole to pole.

From the heavens above, to far below.

Red face demon you have been charged guilty

Guilty from crimes against the gods, spirits and humanity,

So hear me gods far and near

I cast this spell to restore balance and to abolish fear

This spell has no reason nor want to come back to me

For what I cast is justifiable and will never harm me.

With your help O gods this Spell I bestow.

Make its strong, make it impervious make it so.

Protect the children of love and peace,

From the Abrahamic demon's destructive feast.

Smite the red face demons' evil wherever they stand,

Remove them all from our beloved mortal land

And where once where red demons walked this land

Replace them all with love and compassion I demand

Evil and hatred I now bend and control

I send you back to Hell's infernal hall!

Satan's evil son I now control and command

I remove you and yours from this mortal land.

Death to you red faced monster of evil and plight

I vanquish you with this spell I cast this night.

Back to hell you go from where you were sired

Back to Hell and Satan's brimstone fire.

And for every milli-ounce of harm you create,

100x100 fold will come back to you. This I dictate!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

QUESTION AND ANSWER: Folkish

QUESTION: Just wondering, how do you feel about people who claim to be "folkish Pagan?"

ANSWER: I had to do some research on this term "folkish" to answer it. I was disgruntled and disgusted to learn what the term means. But at the same time, I am not shocked, as I have heard of some demented Pagans with his sort of dark mind set.

Aside from it being racist, evil and a dark cult ideology, it is not even based on anything history to the Norse people of old. Just using a bunch of Neo Pagan wanna-bes that never studied their own culture and ancient gods, to dictate and control other people. Gee, where have I seen that kind of faith before?? Hmmmm.

I think that should sums up my answer.
