It has now been 6 years since The Last Jedi changed the course of my life and gave me the hope and strength I needed at my lowest point. I’m grateful for it every day. Rey reminds me to never give up, to help people whenever I can, to be the light. Kylo reminds me to let the past die when I need to, and not to be afraid of change.

Today marks exactly five years since I sat down in a theater and experienced Star Wars: The Last Jedi for the first time. Five years later, I feel even more grateful for this movie, and the hope and inspiration it continues to bring me. Rian Johnson, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, thank you for bringing my favorite story of all time to life. I cannot thank you enough.

11 years ago today, on June 15, 2012, the first episode of Gravity Falls aired on TV. In the 11 years since, it has grown to be a truly beloved story, influencing numerous other works since and establishing its place among the best animated series. I didn’t end up watching it until summer 2022, but I’m grateful for how creative, active, and welcoming the fandom continues to be, even years after the show’s finale. The enduring nature of Gravity Falls’ story, popularity, and fandom are a testament to its brilliance. Here’s to 11 more years of staying curious, staying weird, and staying kind!
