What was it like getting into Gravity Falls at 8 years old?

I was actually 18, although if I started watching Gravity Falls in the first 4 months it was airing, I would have been 8!

It was fun! I’d heard of it before, and knew it was well-liked, but I wasn’t familiar with it. My best friend recommended it when I was looking for a show to watch - Stranger Things season 4 was coming out, and the fandom looked fun, but I thought the horror would be too much for me.

I liked it immediately. It took me about 2 1/2 months to watch it the first time. The whimsy of the show was refreshing, especially Mabel’s, who reminds me of myself at that age. I got even more into it around the end of season 1, and after I finished the show, it became my main special interest. I partially wish I’d seen Gravity Falls while it was still coming out and I was a kid, but 2022 wasn’t a bad time, either - I never got my hopes up for Season 3, and I don’t have to wait long for The Book of Bill!

I’m getting everything in the Studio Bad Egg Cipher Cult Kickstarter 👁️ I’ve been wishing for high quality Gravity Falls merchandise, especially jewelry, since 2022, and now it’s finally, finally happening!! I’m so excited to hold these funny little triangles in my hands :)

I’m glad I usually don’t buy myself things unless they’re practical and don’t impulsively spend money, so I can do things like this 🥳

It is a truth universally acknowledged that Deadpool & Wolverine is about as gay as it gets without kissing—though some of you are convinced they did, in fact, have relations in that car. yes + the way Dipper doesn’t mention his real name onscreen for the entire show, but in Journal 3 we find out Dipper told Ford his real name is Mason, even though he doesn’t like it… literally spent the summer up until then thinking he couldn’t trust anyone - even Mabel and Stan at some points - and then trusted Ford immediately after meeting him… I am holding my head in my hands

can. can we talk about how Dipper regularly calls Ford "Great-Uncle Ford" instead of "Grunkle Ford". Dipper looks up to him soooo much..
