Hey folks! I've been in talk with Falastin, a Palestinian, over the past couple of weeks. They've been so lovely and just a genuine sweetheart, and they've been talking to me in-between asking for help with their campaign. They're managing a lot right now and trying to find ways to keep their family alive through the winter. They wrote this up for this post:
Dear friends, it's time to act now. For decades, Israel has committed war crimes against Palestiniansâstarting in Jenin over twenty years ago, continuing in Gaza, and still happening today. These atrocities have been carried out at every checkpoint, with every bomb dropped on hospitals, schools, and refugee camps, fully aware of the consequences. Right now, over two million people are trapped, deprived of food and water, and bombarded daily. International law has become meaningless, as Western countries continue to supply Israel with weapons and support instead of holding them accountable. If we do not act now, the Palestinian people risk being erased. My friend Falastin's family is enduring this nightmare. They are struggling to survive in the midst of this crisis and urgently need your help to get through the coming winter. So far, they have raised $6,200 out of the $196,000 needed. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, but they still need our help. This weekâs short-term goal is to raise $11,000 to cover their basic needs, and they can not do this without our support. Standing with the Palestinian people is standing up for humanity. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a profound difference. Please help Falastin's family.
If you can, it would mean the world if you donated or at least shared Falastin's campaign!! Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.
Hey guys, I normally don't do these sorts of posts but
There's this guy going around, asking mainly tadc artists to do commissions for him (usually its digital circus x hunterxhunter manga redraw), and if they refuse he'll spam slurs and insults, make alt accounts to demand the artist to finish the art He's prob just a troll (cause I refuse to believe ppl like him are real lol), so it's best to just block him and don't interact
his current @ here: jinbe-the-shipweight (previously jimbei-the-son-of-the-sea) twitter: originally ToesGeo but changed his name to Kick_Ass785 (still shows up in search if you type ToesGeo) bsky: I don't think he has a permanent account on there, but usually his @ are themaxx(+numbers), kick-ass, or something crude here's some messages me and other artists got from him (cw for slurs and generally unpleasant behavior):
this is what he sent to me:

Alright, I need to have a chat with the teenagers that follow me, specifically regarding lying about your age and nsfw content. This isnât directed at anyone, but I think itâs a convo that needs to be had in general.
I was a teenager once. I get it. Everyone lies about their age online. Maybe not to other people, but Iâm sure every minor has clicked a âyeah, sure, Iâm 18+â button at some point in their lives. Iâm not here to shame you for that.
What I am here to say is it is vital that teenagers understand the difference between engaging in sexual content independently (ie, entering a fake birthday to access 18+ content), and lying about your age to engage in sexual activities with others online (joining discord servers/using nsfw channels intended for adults only/lying about your age to talk to nsfw content creators/commissioning nsfw art/etc).
Lying about your age to a website so you can look at porn is one thing. Itâs an entirely independent experience, where the only consent that really matters is yours. Nobody has any power over you in this situation, and thereâs about no chance of legal consequences.
However, lying about your age to other human beings is extremely different. If youâre engaging in nsfw roleplay with a friend about the same age as you, talking about sex with other teenagers, sharing nsfw fics among friends, thatâs one thing. But do not lie about your age to engage in sexual activities/discussions. Not only is something that could have actual legal ramifications, and very serious ones depending on whatâ going on, but itâs a violation of the other peopleâs consent. The moment other real people are involved, you need to be respectful of their boundaries & what is and isnât appropriate for you to be engaging with. If they say no minors, I donât care if youâre 17.5, you stay out until you are 18 years old.
Examples of situations where it is never okay to lie or mislead anyone about your age online include:
Joining/accessing nsfw channels or servers on discord.
Yes, I know itâs very easy to just click that little red button on discord that lets you access the channel youâre so curious about. It looks just like the one you see on adult websites that you click without thinking.
Donât do it.
If channels are 18+ then you stay out of them. There are other real life human beings involved who did not give consent to have a minor in an adult orientated space.
Engaging with nsfw creators/content directly
ie, commissioning nsfw artwork, following or talking to nsfw creators whoâve asked for no interactions from minors/flagged their accounts as 18+ only, subscribing to nsfw creators on patron, nsfw roleplay, etc.
Joining/engaging with adult only communities, like Fetlife or cam sites.
Engaging in romantic and/or sexual online relationships
Any time you are talking with one or more other real human beings, particularly any adults, in a sexual context.
I know that adult websites have basically trained teenagers to just say theyâre 18 and move on, but it is vital that teenagers understand that it is never okay to lie about your age when directly engaging in any kind of sexual activity. Knowing peopleâs age is a vital part of consent, and if an adult is found to have been engaging in sexual activity with a minor, they could face life long legal consequences. Not only that, but a basic facet of consent is clear, honest communication. If you are lying to a partner, then you do not have consent. Lying about your age is a huge violation of consent.
Thatâs not to say you can never mention sex around adults online. There are times and places where you may be asking for advice, or even just making jokes about sex or whatever. Thatâs all well and good, so long as everyone is on the same page. Itâs on adults to make sure that we are behaving appropriately around minors online, and make sure that weâre setting boundaries in those relationships. But itâs on minors to communicate that they are minors, and respect those boundaries that are set.
So, tl;dr,
Lying about your age to access a porn site is fine. Lying about your age to engage in sexual situations/adult-only spaces where other real human beings are involved is not.
So it looks like NaNoWriMo are happy to have AI as part of their community. Miss me with that bullshit. Generative artificial intelligence is an active threat to creativity and the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people in creative fields.
Please signal boost this so writers can make an informed choice about whether to continue to take part in such a community.
