maybe another reason why joo won and dong sik’s relationship in beyond evil is so bizarrely healing is because i think neither of them expected to be loved so genuinely, to be known so genuinely and loved for it anyways. lee dong sik, who puts on an act and parades himself around as the nutjob of manyang, discovered so wholly by han joo won as a sad man who simply lost everything–someone who’s a little bit ruined, maybe, someone who truly isn’t all put together, and instead of running in the other direction, han joo won runs headlong into danger with baton swinging and a promise to never make lee dong sik go through hell again. and for han joo won, who claims that he doesn’t need people and that he doesn’t trust people and that he’s ultimately better off alone–someone who’s internalized the fact that he is a monster who can’t even hold onto anyone’s hands, who can’t ever make the first move or reach out to grab onto someone, is so quickly recognized by lee dong sik, who pulls out a chair for him at the table and who reprimands him for carrying the guilt alone and who tells him to eat well, sleep well …
Tony sassing Peter.

Okay but like, if Steve and Bucky don’t hug at least once in Infinity War, Marvel executives are gonna be catching these hands 👊
