i have no school today but i still have a ton of work because my teachers are evil and assigned multiple essays and projects yesterday that are due by friday :-)

dark academia pinterest boards, binders stuffed with neatly written notes, early mornings spent analysing poetry, hot tea for cold rainy nights, studying hard, but not too hard, good grades and well-written essays, piles upon piles of books from that amazon sale, zero procrastination, customising your ios 14 layout based on your favourite books, leather-bound journals filled with messy scribbles, zero missing google classroom assignments, insightful debates about the latest government policies, scented candles, iced coffee for hot summer days, more scented candles, passionately researching about your favourite show or book.

this week has been the craziest, but also that’s going to be the next week too. in other news though, i’m very excited about how this paper is turning out.

I also finished my notes on ‘Caliban and the Witch’ and let me tell you, there’s nothing better than a good scoop of feminist Marxist theory to start the day.

i think as a society we should bring back fancy dinner parties where you listen to classical music and discuss the shakespearean sonnets and the romantics & philosophical debates held by literary societies full of dedicated students who are passionate about critical theory and aestheticism & poetry readings in jazz cafés that last well into the night and leave you with a sense of having shared an intimate experience with strangers because all of you have felt the same words echo in your soul
