Kids cartoons these days are pretty and unique

its so fucking weird honestly how people will associate capitalism with individualism or creativity but you look at the kids cartoons being churned out in the US and they all have the same ugly ass calarts style, you look at popular animated kids movies that have been coming out recently with the most hollow sense of substance and plot, you watch young artists mold all of their work to specific styles all so they do not live jobless and starve, because in a profit driven society creativity cannot truly exist for anyone but those who are already wealthy.

capitalism doesnt encourage individualism it encourages conformity for the sake of meeting basic needs for survival. deplorable.

Please help my mom had a stroke!

My mom had a stroke on December 16th and to help her I’m missing a lot of work and a lot of money. Other than when I’m visiting her I have a good bit of free time during the day and I’d like to make up at least a little for the money I’m losing. 

I’m opening up cell-shaded only commissions for $40 for one character and +$20 for extra characters. No complex BGs at this time. If you do want a background we can talk about the price. 

I can do furry/anthro characters but because of the difficulty its $15+ per character. So one cell-shaded anthro with no background would be $55 and two would be $90. I also retain the right to refuse any commissions I do not feel comfortable with.

Help me avoid homelessness

First of all I want t thank everyone who’s followed this blog even though it’s been quiet for the last few months! Major apologies to everyone.

One of the main reasons I’ve been away is that I’ve been couch surfing, trying to avoid homelessness. Now I’ve got a place but I need £500/$600 for rent and bills.

As a chronically ill trans man getting work has been extremely difficult for me but I have interviews lined up for this month however I still won’t have enough money for rent this month

It’s a big ask but if everyone on this blog donated a dollar I would have more than enough to cover this months rent.

Steven Universe saved my life at one point and now I’m hoping that you guys can help save me. Even if you can’t donate it would be a huge huge help if you could reblog this post!!!

please help me save my dog!!!

i hate doing this, i’ve never done this and never thought i would have to do this but here it goes, this is bubblegum formerly known as BIG RED (get it, ha) i adopted him in south florida in the winter of 2016 with my father, he was the saddest little hippo i ever seen in my life but as soon as we got him out of that cage he transformed into a love machine, he doesn’t want to be where you’re not, he befriends other dogs just to get pets from their parents, he gets mad and starts yapping if you’re not in bed by 11pm sharp and he loves lizards.

tonight, my friend bubblegum is sitting in the same shelter he was adopted from (first picture is from the shelter’s website) because my dad has relapsed on drugs and has basically disappeared, my dad’s problems are his own, bubblegum doesn’t deserve to pay for my dad’s shortcomings and neither do i and that’s something i can understand, bubblegum is probably just sitting there wondering where his friend has gone.

i was able to get in contact with the shelter, they are willing to put a hold on him (to be adopted or sent to a rescue, he his NOT in a kill shelter) as long as i can get down there in the next week, i understand this is not dire, i understand he could go to a loving family and that he could have his best years ahead of him, i get all that but i also understand he’s a 7 year old pit bull who has a slim chance of getting any of these things that he fully 100% deserves

so that’s where i come in, i am going to make this 18 hour drive to the opposite end of the country but i need some help if at all possible, i’m going to need gas, im going to need a mid way oil change, i am going to need to pay for a place to sleep and i’m going to need to pay his boarding and holding fees. i don’t wanna tell you a sob story but i will tell you that in the past 4 years i’ve become the sole provider for my family, i have money coming in from my job but it’s tied up in my day to day responsibilities

i will post proof of my journey and i will post a lot of pics of mr. bubblegum, i’m planning on leaving monday morning, getting there by tuesday afternoon and giving my mans a hug soon there after.

Interesting. I've literally only used search for the past three years; may have to check out tags once I access a pc.

As you may have heard tumblr recently ‘killed the links’, making it so that any post that has any link on it (even if it links to tumblr posts or tags) will not show up in the /search/ function.

Well, I’ve got some GOOD NEWS for you. The /tagged/ function still works just fine. The bad news is the tumblr mobile app ONLY uses the /search/ function. The GOOD NEWS is the /tagged/ function has always displayed 33% more content than the /search/ function. Yup, you heard that right. If you were only using the mobile app, you were already missing out on TONS of content.

TAGGED VS SEARCH

/tagged/ function = tumblr.com/tagged/tag name

This is what most people refer to by ‘looking in the tag’. It only populates posts that have the tag name within the first 5 tags. If you’re posting alot, it will oftentimes only show your last 3 posts in a given tag to prevent you from spamming it. It’s very accurate.

/search/ function = tumblr.com/search/word

This searches all words in a given post, including the first 20 tags and the entire text of the post itself. The mobile app only uses the /search/ function and is missing 33% of what is available in the /tagged/ function. So if you only use the mobile app, you are literally missing 1/3 of what the fandom is posting. This is why I only use the more accurate /tagged/ function. Unfortunately, this is also referred to as ‘looking in the tag’ when it is not actually looking in the tag but ‘looking in the word search’.

I’ve actually avoided the /search/ function for years because of these problems. I only use the /tagged/ function but it is a bit harder to use on a mobile browser which is why I only look in the tags using my desktop computer. At least now you can still FIND all the content you might have missed.
