a cartoon can be basly drawn but well animated, and a cartoon can be well drawn but badly animated.

animation is the illusion of motion. a stick figure can move as gracefully and fluidly as a ballerina, and the most beautifully drawn dragon you’ve ever seen can move in a stiff, unnatural, and choppy manner.

why don’t people understand this concept whenever i try to talk about it

haha yeah, brains are tricky to figure out especially among different people. Though, you said "the photo doesn't seem to have a blue/green cast" which might be why it's being seen differently, because i DO see it with a blue-green 'indoor' cast on a pink shoe. I can switch to a grey shoe if I stare at the shoe alone and ignore the bg but it's pretty confising lol

i hate doing this, i’ve never done this and never thought i would have to do this but here it goes, this is bubblegum formerly known as BIG RED (get it, ha) i adopted him in south florida in the winter of 2016 with my father, he was the saddest little hippo i ever seen in my life but as soon as we got him out of that cage he transformed into a love machine, he doesn’t want to be where you’re not, he befriends other dogs just to get pets from their parents, he gets mad and starts yapping if you’re not in bed by 11pm sharp and he loves lizards.

tonight, my friend bubblegum is sitting in the same shelter he was adopted from (first picture is from the shelter’s website) because my dad has relapsed on drugs and has basically disappeared, my dad’s problems are his own, bubblegum doesn’t deserve to pay for my dad’s shortcomings and neither do i and that’s something i can understand, bubblegum is probably just sitting there wondering where his friend has gone.

i was able to get in contact with the shelter, they are willing to put a hold on him (to be adopted or sent to a rescue, he his NOT in a kill shelter) as long as i can get down there in the next week, i understand this is not dire, i understand he could go to a loving family and that he could have his best years ahead of him, i get all that but i also understand he’s a 7 year old pit bull who has a slim chance of getting any of these things that he fully 100% deserves

so that’s where i come in, i am going to make this 18 hour drive to the opposite end of the country but i need some help if at all possible, i’m going to need gas, im going to need a mid way oil change, i am going to need to pay for a place to sleep and i’m going to need to pay his boarding and holding fees. i don’t wanna tell you a sob story but i will tell you that in the past 4 years i’ve become the sole provider for my family, i have money coming in from my job but it’s tied up in my day to day responsibilities

i will post proof of my journey and i will post a lot of pics of mr. bubblegum, i’m planning on leaving monday morning, getting there by tuesday afternoon and giving my mans a hug soon there after.
