consider: teenagers aren’t apathetic about everything they’re just used to you shitting all over whatever they show excitement about
And you know damn well for you, I would ruin myself a million little times.

OLIVIA RODRIGO • SOUR PROM — Jealousy, Jealousy
Lilo & Stitch
On the night I feel that thing again, the hunger that overtook me on the beach, I know this would have happened anyway. That what I need to survive is not Gale’s fire, kindled with rage and hatred. I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.
NOAH CENTINEO ph. by Ryan Pfluger // GQ Magazine (2021)
The very first time I saw you Harry, I recognized you immediately. Not by your scar, by your eyes. They’re your mother; Lily’s. Yes, I knew her. You mother was there for me at a time when no one else was. Not only was she a singularly gifted witch, she was also an uncommonly kind woman. She had a way of seeing the beauty in others, even, and perhaps most especially, when that person couldn’t see it in themselves. Your father, James, however, had a certain, shall we say, talent for trouble. A talent, rumor has it, he passed onto you. You’re more like them then you know, Harry. In time you’ll come to see just how much.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) dir. Alfonso Cuarón
They’re here. They have never left.
Artemis guards the children, those hunting their next meal through the school closings and uncertainty.
Hephaestus protects the immunicompromised and those with disabilities, shielding them as best he can.
Zeus stands with the elderly, easing their loneliness and brightening the rain clouds.
Apollo walks through the halls of hospitals, healing those he can, and Hera blesses the couples self-isolating separately.
Aphrodite comforts those who have lost loved ones, while Hades welcomes the lost with open arms to the underworld.
Athena pushes governments to action, driving whatever change she can, and Poseidon fosters international collaboration, refusing to let the ocean get in the way of human compassion.
Hermes still smiles, finding ways to joke in the midst of fear and bringing good news when it surfaces, and Dionysus calms those who refuse to hear the good, easing their minds and bringing balance to those caught up in panic buying and selfishness.
Hestia works within the home, while Ares works outside of it, offering stamina and fortitude to those overworked, be them retail workers, doctors, or teachers. Hestia eases self-quarantines, soothing the anxiety that staying at home may bring and reminding us all to work together.
And Persephone still walks the earth, bringing springtime with her and showing us that the world keeps turning, and that despite the fear of uncertainty, everything is going to be ok.
“Sapete chi mi fanno pena? Quelle ragazze fottutamente magre che si lamentano di essere ‘balene’, ma in realtà pesano… quanto? 50 kg? 60? Wow. Voi si che sapete cosa significa essere grasse! Voi si che sapete com'è non voler andare alle feste perché non si trova un vestito! Voi lo sapete, vero? No! Voi non sapete un cazzo! Nessuno vi ha mai preso in giro per il vostro corpo, e se lo hanno fatto non lo pensavano. Voi non capite, care barbie vanitose di merda. Chi si lamenta in giro di essere grassa non lo è davvero. Io lo sono, e quando le altre parlano di voler dimagrire io sto zitta. Fa un male cane, cazzo. Quindi evitate, mi fate sentire ancora più uno schifo!”
