I'm not super informed on the reddit culture where moderating is concerned, I'm lucky to have never run into shitty ones.

But it feels like a lot of this could've been fixed by not letting people be mods across multiple subs?

It could've just been r/food that broke down, but because this ONE crazy ass moderator has her grubby little hands in multiple subs, and was able not only ban people over senseless shit in one sub

But follow the people who complained about it into subs that are DEDICATED TO DISCOURSE and control the conversation and tone there too.

It screams abuse of power, as far as essentially meaningless internet communities are concerned at least, lol
