Another round of Zombies, Make! This time my prompt was “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper and this Special thanks to @puptart for hosting!
Some doodles I eventually plan on turning into embroidery designs as part of a long-term project :)
Thank you! And I believe it was mission 27 that Five found this friend :)
Does anybody else remember that time in season 2 where Five rescued a horse? Like, did they let Five keep it, or?
Here’s my submission for Round 2 of Zombies Make today! I couldn’t help myself.
Here’s the prompt I used
This is entirely based on the fact that my Five breaks up with Sam in season 3 lmao
how about frog and toad redraws (ref under the cut!!)

Since that “reblog if/like if not” post is extremely statistically unsound, it’s better to have two separate posts for inclusionists/exclusionists.

Oh! This is actually quite interesting. I’m pretty certain the reason your brain ignores the second “the” is because when reading, it only processes the words that are crucial to understanding the sentence. It skips the second “the” because the article does not affect the meaning and it would waste time and energy to process the word. I believe it’s similar to how your brain chooses not to process your nose in your field of vision. I’m no expert, though, this is just from what I’ve personally researched.
people talk all the time about “primal instincts” and it’s usually about violence or sexual temptations or something, but your humanity comes with a lot of different stuff that we do without really thinking about, that we do without being told to or prompted to
your average human comes pre-installed with instincts to:
Befriend
Tell story
Make Thing
Investigate
Share knowledge
Laugh
Sing
Dance
Empathize with
Create
we are chalk full of survival instincts that revolve around connecting to others (dog-shaped others, robot-shaped, sometimes even plant-shaped) and making things with our hands
your primal instincts are not bathed in blood- they are layered in people telling stories to each other around a fire over and over and putting devices together through trial and error over and over and reaching for someone and something every moment of the way

10. Their Fashion Sense
20. Reaction to Mystery Love Letter.
Initial reaction:
- Surprised; flattered; flustered; a lil embarrassed
Secondary reaction:
- whO SENT THE DAMN THING???
23. Getting Sick (this one will be a two part-er for the next post).
- When they start to feel the sniffles or the coughs coming on, they’ll usually try to deny it for as long as they possibly can.
- They don’t like it when other people fuss over them, so they’ll go about business as usual until someone (usually Maxine or Sam) calls their ass out on it.
“When we came to make Zombies, Run!, I deliberately put a line in the very first mission, when you, Runner Five, are just arriving at Abel Township, the tiny, shivering remnant of humanity left after the zombie apocalypse. I had one of the characters say: “If you can move above a slow shamble, we can use you.” Why? Because I am so sick and tired of the best and nicest exercise-based treats being reserved for people who are already in peak physical shape, and I’m sick of the notion that having fun while exercising is something you have to earn; that, until you look a certain way, moving ought to be boring and unpleasant if not outright painful. Your body is there right now. You did not have to earn a thing. It is a gift. You are a hero every time you step out of your front door to do some exercise.”

This is one of the reasons I love Zombies Run! so much. I can’t run. Even if I want to, I physically can’t. Some days I barely move above a shamble. Some days I can’t walk without debilitating pain at all. I can be Runner 5 on the good days. I get a workout, and I’m not worried about losing X number of calories or fitting a size Y dress.
It’s freeing. And it’s wonderful to know someone who isn’t in physical peak condition can be a hero.
