“Robin, to end up with a man who wanted you but wanted nothing to do with your choices, cared nothing for all the times you said NO, set up a string quartet and roses in your living room anyway, a man who mishandled you start to finish in the name of romance and the grand gesture— Robin, to end up with a man more in love with the idea of love than with you must seem like some kind of cosmic betrayal, must seem so season one pre all that character development. I know that after years of the same tired back and forth, it must be easy to mistake poor scripting for fate. But, listen to me: fuck the grand gesture. Robin, FUCK THE BLUE FRENCH HORN. He does not always deserve to Get The Girl just because he wants the girl. Sometimes the girl gets to drink a neat scotch and pile into bed with her five dogs comfortable, happy, and alone. Robin, sometimes the girl gets herself.”

Amy Sherman-Palladino: We always played that Rory and Jess saw each other for what they were. That was the great thing about that relationship. She saw Jess for exactly what he was, and he really got her. So it just seemed like a natural thing [for Jess to pull Rory out of her funk] because you needed somebody to do it. It wasn’t going to be Lorelai, and it just made sense for the relationship that we had set up with them that he would get her.
“Now Sid, don’t you blame the movies. Movies don’t create psychos. Movies make psychos more creative!”
Im watching „FROM” right now and I don’t want to sound dramatic but I would die for victor

Stu whistled lowly, eyes raking appreciatively over Y/n’s appearance as she descended the stairs.
“Don’t you look absolutely stunning?”
Y/n rolled her eyes, amused by her boyfriend’s antics. “You are biased.”
“I am your partner, I am allowed to be biased.” Stu grinned, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her into him, pressing a toe-curling kiss to her lips.
Humming, Y/n pulled away.
“If this is your reaction every time I wear this I might just do it more often,” she giggled.
“You wouldn’t be hearing any complaints from me.” He grinned cheekily, waggling his eyebrows at her and making Y/n laugh.
“Well, you would be hearing complaints from me. Having to watch you drool over my sister is positively disgusting.” Y/n’s brother was stood in the doorway, grimacing at their affectionate display. “Mom and dad sent me to tell you we’re leaving in exactly one minute, with or without you.”
He turned away, pausing to call over his shoulder, “And keep your hands off my sister, Macher!”
Billy mocked him, pulling faces at his back as they followed and Y/n smacked Stu’s arm as she passed, smothering her chuckles into her hand.

“That was really beautiful,” Stu remarked, watching as Y/n’s cousin had his first dance with his new wife.
Y/n hummed in agreement, taking a sip of the champagne she had managed to convince her kooky aunt to smuggle them.
“‘Course, our wedding will be ten times better.”
Y/n’s head snapped towards him, her mouth hanging open.
“We’ll have a much bigger ceremony too - only the best for my fiancé.” Stu continued on, seemingly oblivious to his girlfriend’s frozen state. “And there will definitely be better lighting - that church was far too dark. Not that we’ll be having it in a church - far too corrupt for that.”
He threw her a cheeky wink, smirking.
“Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You … You’ve thought about that? With me? You mean, you want that with me?” Y/n was blinking rapidly at him, confused and a little stunned.
“Yeah. You’d look much better in a wedding dress than Casey or Tatum.” He beamed - actually fucking beamed - when she reached over and hit his shoulder with her clutch. “See? We’ve already got the dynamics down pat.”
Y/n rolled her eyes, turning away from him and crossing her arms, visibly rankled. “That’s not the way you tell a girl you wanna marry her, Stu, baby.”
“Does that mean we won’t be slipping off for a quickie before we leave, then?”
Stu’s loud laughter as she swiped at him again bounced around the Marquee, ingraining the moment in their minds as one of the most precious memories they had.
