they're a son/silv/shad fankid essentially LOL

tl;dr made from Energy Soup created by extensive use of chaos emeralds. a cheerful thing with lots to learn :)

pronouns are probs gonna change but for now it's she/he/they (or basically, generally feminine but prefers masc/neutral terms)

fun facts:

the quills sticking up is not consistent cuz it depends on how much he gives a shit about looking clean-cut on any given day

silver only really used the emeralds in '06 and that one time in the metal virus arc of IDW (if he's used them more than that don't spoil me on it LOL im still getting through the comics) so his influence is not as strong as the other 2. it comes through mostly in personality (generally pleasant, socially inept)

starlight exists in strict juxtaposition against the other hedgehogs because unlike all 3 of them they literally were created for no purpose other than to exist. hence she has a weaker sense of self than silver or shadow and especially sonic. it's fun to think of them raising a kid and having to manually instruct them how to enjoy living

hypothetically has access to chaos powers like her "dads" but since chaos energy is also literally her molecular makeup she basically falls apart if she uses it too much, hence the inhibitors

also i say "dads" but the only one of the 3 who really acts parental towards them is shadow (more on that later)

Bonus and talking under the cut:

I originally wanted to make a comic of how the Chaotix lost their house during the events of Sonic Forces. Maybe Eggman and Infinite went after all of Sonic's friends specifically and that's how a giant robot tore their roof and most of their walls appart. While fighting with the resistance, they slept in a old storage room repurposed as a dormitory for all members, and they had to share an old bunk. In my mind Vector built the house not so long after adopting his kids, and before that he lived with Nite and Don (of course). So while they do their best to survive, he swears to rebuild everything but bigger and better so that Charmy and Espio can go back to live as normally as possible.

And all that I am saying was supposed to appear in a comic but I really didn't feel like doing it so I'll just share the draft I did :D

Vector: So WHY exactly did you think using a blowdart in a party game was a good idea???

Espio: Is that not normal?

Vector: NO?????? Why would it be????

Espio: That's how we played back in ninja training.

Vector: H U H ?

Espio: Last one standing wins.

Vector: ....How many times have you been hit with a blowdart?

Espio: Enough that they stopped working on me. Wanna see?

so really awesome news, my tablet just went to shit. like it just wont work anymore. so im kind of fucked as of right now.

im plugging my ko-fi and my commissions again so i can raise money for a new one asap. ko-fi helps the most but if youre willing to wait on a commission until i can actually work with a new tablet (it would take about two days to receive a new one after purchase) then that would help tremendously as well.

i need to make like $500 total to buy a new tablet, and thats on top of $750 rent

@team-chaotix-week After Espio and vector come back from the events of tmosth, charmy gets his own idea of a “murder-mystery-dinner-theater” staring some friends his age, in hopes of drumming up some business.

But things take a turn when the actors get TOO into character, and vector and Espio worry if it’ll be taken too far.

Yo this random side character who’s hardly in the games but is literally a purple ninja detective who just wants to pay rent and is so cringe fail in the best way like I literally love him.

It’s like that “stay in the box/get out of my skin” meme like please for once god let me live a normal life.

No but genuinely I don’t think you understand this is the only place I can talk about it and people just get it. Imagine where I’m coming from:

A friend of mine who has no clue about the sth fandom and only knows base characters. Sonic himself is cool but if that’s all they know about the fandom then I have my work cut out for me. I can’t even get to talking about the Espio yet because it’s gonna take me hours (over the span of literal months probably) to dive into the lore like Shadow, Robotnik, Amy Rose, Knuckles, etc etc. that it feels like years before I can even talk about the chaotix and one of my favorite characters ever!! Because it’s not like he’s apart of the main cast or huge lore bits ykwim?!?!

And I never even get to that point because I can never get past all the Shadow lore! People already think I’m insane and just tune me out!!

I’m literally gnawing at the cage that confines me please someone release me from this nightmare.

Espio has so much untapped sonic potential

He is, arguably, the single most “normal” teenager in sonic canon vice via like his day to day problems and priorities.

Like even in the og archie comics where shit was notriously crazy all the time especially for Knuckles and his friends, Espio’s role was like. the Guy Whose Friends Are All Always Going Through Some Shit But He Is Basically Fine.

Like he’s not the one who finds a kid dead from LSD overdose. That’s the 6 year old bee’s problem. Espio just like. Gets the group text about it.

Like of the “main” 20+ sonic characters you can easily put Espio in the top 3 for edgy designs. And like Espio’s worst problems all come from being 16 and having brothers who are 18 and 6 respectively.

Like darkest canonical interpretations just come down to

-dead former mentor figure (think like. tails if sonic died, but like years later)

-child living through and suffering under realistic financial strain (sad. Really weird vibe for a sonic character tbh. Still not really that comparable to like. Shadow.)

And like. This is the same series where reality sometimes canonically gets thanos snapped and everyone’s lives get reset and genocides get forgotten. You can dig some fucked up experiences for like basically every sonic characters vice via Archie Comics being insane

And like. Im pretty sure this has only ever been played straight? Like of course he’s edgy he looks edgy. Isn’t Charmy annoying?

Idk i just think the fact Espio canonically knows like. Knuckles and Sonic and Shadow is like unexplored comedy gold. He’s like the shitty poser teen who BUYS the shadow the hedgehog posters to feel cool.

He and Vector talk and act like peers on the same page 99% of the time but Vector romantically pursues women unambiguous old enough to firmly see Espio as a child. That is so fucking funny. You’re 16 and your friday night is fucking ruined because your best bro is going out with some adult woman who treats you like you are 12 and a BABY so now you’re stuck babysitting YOUR baby brother ALONE, if not also your bro’s girl’s kid. Meanwhile the group chat is blowing up because all your COOL friends just broke into Eggman’s lab and are making really funny tiktoks without you

I painted Leo! I was given 10 small canvases the other day and my first idea was something like that, then I found some references and ended up finding a few so I did two!

I think I did pretty well it’s been I bit since I did a painting like that so! I figured Leo would be the best to start with seeing he’s the leader and he has the simplest design on these, I’m planning on doing the other turtles but I dounno whos next, Mikey’s gonna be the most difficult, and I like Raph and kinda wanna do him but then theres Mikey so I’m kind lost, (also I REALLY Need to do a drawing of Mikey! I did Donnie Before I did Him!!!!)

it took most of the day to draw and paint but that was with interruptions and later in the day so if I do the others it may or may not take longer then Leo, seeing as thier more complicated but there be less Complications (if that makes since)

This are my headcanon for the Team Chaotix, because of you couldn't tell— I am very normal about them jksjsksjksksk.

Tbh, I don't know much of Nite and Don but I have seen some really cute headcanon and drawing of them basically being like some parent figure for Vector and I truly thinks it's so cute. Getting attached to Nite and Done really, and what I have seem from their interaction they seem to have a good interaction with one another! <3 Especially saw one panel were the Chaotix were trapped and Amy, Tails and Don finds them and the way Vector looks so glad to see him, plus Don saying "thats my boys." COME ON JSKSNSMSN I actually have it.

I am a sucker for family tropes, so that why I get attached and hyperfixated in their family dynamics 😔. I promise to learn more about Don and Nite (even if they may not be enough information, of them being minor character but that won't stop).

So yeah, They're be the grandparents for Charmy, Espio and Cream. Knuckles is the long distance Uncle of the group, same for Mighty and Ray being distance cousins. They get to meet up maybe ones a year in a holiday jsksjskjs. Gemerl just there exciting, he still be only loyal to Cream but I'm sure Cream would want him to interact with Charmy. (Probably they won't get along XD)

Okay I'll stop yapping, I think you get the emo. I just, gosh I love the Chaotix so much!! RAAAAAAAGH—💥💥💥💥
