Anyone who says Thomas should be / is hairless is being robbed. Anyone who says Thomas smells like "pine trees and outside" is being robbed. Anyone who says Thomas is "capable of nothing wrong" is being robbed. You're being robbed of the complexity and realism in his character ๐ญ
Thomas smells gross. Can we be honest here - For a minute?
Thomas is sweating all day. Every day. With minimal hygiene. That INCLUDES laundry. Covered in blood, bodily fluids, guts, sweat, dirt, and exhaust from his chainsaw - He's going to smell like a cadaver bathed in animal feces and musk. It's not gonna be the "regular" musk - It's going to be putrefying. Give him a shower NOW ๐ฃ๏ธโผ๏ธ
Also..Thomas does not will not shave. His facial skin is really damaged which leads me to believe the hair follicle is also damaged - Meaning no beard or mustache for Tommy. Everywhere else tho..no way bro's bald. No way bro's chest is bald. You've seen his arms, they got hair on 'em. His chest is the same.
--
Thomas is a grown adult with complex trauma - not a child who doesn't understand right from wrong, you bozo {with love}
Do not deny yourself - Give Thomas his disgusting revolting qualities NOW ๐ฃ๏ธโผ๏ธ
"B-But, but Tommy is my poopy!!! He smells like riverbeds and Texas pine-"

ok now i'm realizing that i don't know how to write kisses. what the fuck do i write. "mmm wet kiss with tongue"
if the 2006 TCM movie was produced or direct by the same person as the 2003 remake {Marcus Nispel}, it would be so so SO much better. Don't get me wrong, I love TCM: The Beginning - For the lore. If I wasn't invested in TCM I wouldn't care for the movie - Honestly. The cinematography is wonderful {there's better, but I loved the shots outside the house/through the fields}, the FAMILY character designs are top tier - The group/main protagonists? Their designs are..fine. Nothing special, really {which they don't have to be, but some have pointed out that they aren't the most historically accurate.} THE HOUSE?? God, I love the architecture used in this movie - The house is an 1800's plantation home, which I LOVE the features of {not the history..}
I think what made the 2003 remake so great was how consistent the story was, how believable the story was, the cinematography, the characters, and the chemistry. Lots of stuff was happening in that movie - And that doesn't necessarily refer to the events occurring: The connection to the Hewitt's kitchen from the community center's display shelf - Leatherface/Thomas peering through the walls, floor boards, shutters, HIS MASK?? The reveal of Hoyt, Luda Mae, the Tea Lady, and Henrietta as antagonists??? {Monty was an opp from the start}
Also, I hate to say it, but the 2006 protagonists didn't appeal to me much. Listen..they are all GORGEOUS actors {both in talent and looks} but they were dealt with poorly-written characters. The dialogue is fine - Compared to the 2003 remake? Subpar. The 2003 protagonists had/have so much character to them - Pepper is what Bailey was intended to be: A sexual, screaming damsel who loses their love interest. Kemper you just feel bad for; He was gonna propose and dies before he gets to tell Erin? Especially since just {under} an hour before, she'd asked when they were gonna get engaged? His character is built on sympathy - He's a protective, sarcastic, and a bit too nosey for his own good {hence his death.} Morgan is a sensible anxious guy whoโs kind of an airhead at times..but heโs logical when faced with fear {surprisingly.} Andy is the protective and reactive force {similarly to Kemper.} Erin is THE final girl. Smart, strategic, alluring? Doesnโt that sound like Erin?
Chrissie and Eric are good characters - but they could've been better. insulting your captives is NOT a smart move. At. All. The thing is, when Eric was insulting Hoyt, he was provoking him as a distraction. When Chrissie insulted the family, she did it as a final โfuck you.โ One is more productive than the other in terms of survival {but the โfuck youโ was deserved.}
Dean and Bailey pissed me off fr - No survival skills what so ever {okay, thatโs not fair..theyโre trying - and I sure as shit canโt be talking considering this was a life-or-death situation.} Also, I get it, no one wants to go to war {I sure as shit donโt} but consider Hoytโs perspective for a moment:
Dean not only abandoned his country - he abandoned his brother. Hoyt knew from the moment he called Eric and Dean over which one was which. He stares Dean down so much; ESPECIALLY IN THE CAR !!!
Hoyt is disgusted by Dean. How could he be so selfish? After all this countryโs done for him - He just..abandons it? Not only that, he sacrifices his brother? The Hewitts are so family oriented that this ONE action alone could've set Hoyt off. Pair the two together - Dean was bound to die.
{I feel bad for them all, just fyi}
The worst part {in MY opinion} is the waisted potential. There was so so SO much opportunities for this movie to focus on the FAMILY - Instead, it shares the focus with the protagonists. I know this is supposed to be about their 'first family kill' and how they adopted cannibalism, but we could've had so much more.
More into the relationship between Thomas, Hoyt, and Luda Mae. More into the sibling relationship between Luda, Monty, and The Tea Lady. How's Henrietta related? What was Thomas' first mask? How far did he make it in school? WHY can't he speak? CAN he speak? What is his skin condition??? I wish they explored these more in the movie rather than snippets during the introduction sequence.
Anyway..I still watch this movie religiously, but I wish it explored the family wayyyy more :)
watching TCM:TB 2006 without the video and all the scenes with Eric and Thomas sound like gay porn - I legit had to double-check what I was watching
broke this chapter into two parts BECAUSE it has a bit of a tone switch :)
pt.1 is definitely a 'transition' if you will, so it's much shorter
pt.2 is the real stuff

You knew you had to leave this town. There really was nothing left for you - or anyone - here. Most of the sheriffโs department left, just as most of the residents - Leaving infrastructure abandoned and empty. You agreed to stay a little longer, for Thomasโ sake. In return, youโd been invited to dinner - Which laid in front of you. You, amongst the family, sat at the lace-draped table, the only consistent sound being the scraping of utensils against the aged porcelain. Luda Mae, sitting at the left side of the table, broke the minor silence:
โWeโre so glad you could join us tonight, dear. It means a lot that youโre staying, โspecially to Thomas.โย
Thomas blushed a bit in response, he never liked being placed in vulnerable positions. You attempted to smile, โItโs the least I could do.โ You really tried to sound convincing, but from Charlieโs reaction, you werenโt the best at pretending..
โSo, you planning on staying for long?โย
โAs long as I can.โย
โYouโre not a good liar, honey.โย
You pushed the contents of your broth around, not making eye contact with anyone. You could feel Charlieโs complacent grin growing the more he stared at you.ย
โThereโs no reason in lying, hun. You donโt want to stay here.โย
It was true, you didnโt. Everything had dried up - And you, you were parched. Continuing to distract yourself with dinner, you felt yourself get more and more aggravated as the interrogation resumed. Thomas was unusually stiff, staring down at his food just as you were. He really didnโt want you to leave - Heโd never admit it, but he loved you; And hearing about you leaving just made that repressed feeling rouse.ย
โCharlie, leave the poor child alone. I will not have you riling each other up at this table.โย
Charlie rolled his eyes, mumbling a small โyes mama..โ before returning to his food.
Just avoid him - heโs not worth it; You thought to yourself. Charlie really did like riling people up, though, he really was just afraid of being left out. You two never really got along - He was all โtough love.โ An intimidating kind of guy who was always judging, even if he didnโt mean it. You were sure there was love in his heart, maybe not for you, but most definitely for his family. You saw the way he looked at his mama - Full of respect with hints of defiance.ย
Dinner continued in inconsistent silence - Luda Mae would start up conversations only for them to end just as fast. You tried producing thoughtful responses, putting in more effort than the dispassionate grunts coming from the rest of the table. Monty never really enjoyed โmeaninglessโ conversation, his main focus was to get dinner over with so he could return to the living room - Wasting another day with his legs rotting into the cushion of the reclining chair.ย
---
When dinner concluded, the table cleared, and the family members resigned to their usual evening routines, you thanked the Hewitts and packed the little things you brought with you - Parting ways as you left for the doorway. Just before you reached the final step of the porch, the front screen doors swung open.
โDear,โ Luda Mae, of course, stopped you. You turned around, a small โhm?โ fell from your lips.ย
โWe really do appreciate your company. Youโre always welcome to stay - Even if itโs just for the night.โย
Just for the night.

"Who is THAT Diva?" Mama...a narcissist
I have no idea what to post I'm so sorry - Take this
Andrew Bryniarski is not a good person - He's cussed people out for jokes, made light of Gunnar Hansen's death {they had a disagreement, Hansen made a light jab, Bryniarski took it too far}, made disgusting comments about Hansen and those defending him {telling them to "suck his dead nuts" and "suck a big bag of black dicks, asshole"}, as well as just being a genuinely narcissistic asshole. If he wasn't an ass, I wouldn't be making jabs at his looks :)
Love Thomas, not Andrew ๐ซ
Kinda funny how his most popular role is the one that looks / acts the least like him
now why the hell was Luda Mae cutting Bailey's hair...girl
