These are just the last three fics I wrote. I appreciate the likes, believe me I do, but you have to understand. Likes do nothing for content creators. It’s the reblogs. Because that’s how you find shit on your dashboard. Through reblogs. Not likes. This isn’t twitter or tiktok or instagram. This is a website that’s run by the reblog system.

Reblogging helps content creators put their stuff out there. Why do you think so many people stopped writing fanfic and creating beautiful fanart and edits? It’s because they put in hours of work and don’t get nearly enough notes for their masterpieces. Yes we do this because we enjoy it but like...some validation won’t hurt. A boost of confidence here and there might be all someone needs to finish whatever thing they started and left.

Anyway, I’m still going to reblog my shit...

You need motivation to study? Let me introduce you to spiteful studying. When you study a subject to prove someone wrong. When you spend hours writing up notes so that you can get that grade and smile smugly at the teacher who predicted you a lower grade. Find someone to prove wrong, it can be a teacher, a parent, friend or just to prove society that you’re so much more capable then they say you are!

Trust me, it works.

I think part of what makes Sherliam feel inescapably romantic is that neither of them are alone without each other. They both have people they love and are loved by; they both have families, biological and found.

And they are both definitely lonely on some level in spite of that, particularly Liam in my opinion, who is emotionally isolated somewhat by the fact that his family are also his followers, and that makes it hard for him to be emotionally vulnerable with them, because he perceives them as needing him to be strong and only strong, whether that's actually true or not.

I want to be clear that I am in no way suggesting that familial love and friendly love are lesser than romantic love, but they are different. And the fact that Sherlock and Liam clearly find something different in each other, different from the family love and the friendly love they already have, really just...narrows it down. This isn't a case of people latching onto each other because they've never had other friends. They understand each other in a way their other friends don't, but they do have friends, and what's between them is clearly something other when compared to those relationships.
