I came up with a new saying:

"You wouldn't bake a cat just because it jumped into the oven."

It means that just having a really, really good opportunity to do something awful is not an excuse to do it. That it isn't enough that you never go out of your way to do evil, you're also supposed to go out of your way to do the right thing, even in situations where the wrong thing to do would be extremely easy and profitable, and passively allowing it to happen would be easier than going out of your way to do better than that.

I like to think that Jesse just has like twelve binders for when she wants to become a man for a bit

Insert on poster with two male trainers and two female trainers that reads "Double Battle Competition" with a Pokeball in the center. At the bottom, it says "Prize 10K Pokedollars". Offscreen, Ash says "Woah, a double battle competition in the next town over!"

Ash looks on excitedly with Pikachu on his shoulder. Jessie is on his left, leaning down to look at the poster with him. Jessie says "Hm, the prize isn't too bad either..." Ash replies, "We should enter Jessie!"

Jessie looks up, contemplating. "Your mom did say it'd be good for us to bond." She looks down again and points at the poster. "Just one problem though."

Reveal that the poster says "Daddy Daughter Double Battle Competition". "Oh... I missed that part," says Ash offscreen

Ash hunches over with a sad look on his face. "Bummer. Seemed like a lot of fun." Pikachu looks over his shoulder, also sad. "Pika..."

Jessie looks down at Ash with concern. She then looks away shyly. "Well there IS a way we can enter. I-if you really want to."

Ash looks up to her with stars in his eyes. "REALLY???" Pikachu also looks up with big, sparkly eyes. "PIKA???"

Reveal, later: Ash and Jessie crossdressing. Ash looking mildly concerned in his "Ashley" disguise with a dress and bow in his hair, with Pikachu on his shoulder. Jessie stands proudly with her hands on her hips, dressed in a polo, hair slicked back and wearing a fake mustache. Ash asks, "Is this cheating?" Jessie replies "Who cares? Papa wants that prize money."

Daddy Daughter Double Battle

They proceeded to get away with it and sweep the competition but then Ash felt bad and decided to give the prize money and title to the second place winners. They quickly ran away with no one knowing who they really were.

Sadness is so hard to portray in seraphim’s because of the STUPID RING EYES that I love and hate at the same time UGH they look so COOL but they’re so HARD TO DRAW RIGHT AAAAAAAAAAAAA

Portraying Sera’s sadness was honestly the first time I had an issue with portraying her expressions. I didn’t just want sera to look sad, i also wanted her to look tired.

One look at her face and you can tell it’s been eating her up inside for centuries.

The sketch to lineart phase was a bit of a challenge, because she looked too clean in the line-art process. So instead I had her eyes sketched in, not full of life or intensity like her usual expressions. Just exhaustion.
