If you were ever told or were made to learn cursive writing when you were in grade school. I wanna see how many of you suffered like I did.

when taylor first revealed her desire to “find a place in this world,” i don’t think she could’ve anticipated that, two decades on, she’d be playing that song she penned at just 13 years old to a sold-out crowd at the closing night of her sixth headlining tour — the biggest tour the industry has seen — when her place in this world has, in fact, been found (both personally and professionally). it just makes me very, very emotional, knowing the girl who wrote “i’m alone, on my own, and that’s all i know” has kept going and persevering through it all, even when she’s felt scared and unmoored — see: her saying “i’m sure i related to [a place in this world] when i wrote it, but i think i relate to it more now” in houston last year before she played it on this tour in the wake of her breakup — and just look at where she is now. something tells me her younger self would not only feel so grateful and happy, but also ridiculously proud.

Said this in some tags but. Taylor gave out ~$200 million in bonuses - aka 10% of the GROSS PROFIT of the whole tour - but it didn’t come from the tour, those bonuses were money out of her bottom line; a number nowhere near the gross profit considering how much a tour like this would’ve cost to put on. And that’s before her charity donations which could nearly double that, or how out-of-industry-standard highly she already pays everyone.

With all of these components considered she genuinely probably gave away like, half her bottom line. That’s a real estimate and it honestly might be more. Everyone bitches about billionaires and how they should distribute their wealth and…. That’s literally what she did here. More than any other artist, like, ever. At this point I feel like the billionaire discourse is as trite and ridiculous as the “exes” discourse. Sorry but I never wanna hear about that nonsense ever again from within this fandom.

the fact that the eras tour book sold 814k copies in its opening week alone, making it the biggest opening week for a book in 2024, is actually so insane — especially because it’s exclusive to one store. no one is doing it like her.

Not to sound rude or anything, but can’t she just make a different blog?

She could, but with the loss of the blog, we lost every single eras tour speech, article, photoshoot, and so much more over the last several years. Jaime's blog has been an archive of Taylor Swift content that is so well organized.

And she also loses a bunch of mutuals including her Taylor Swift follow, which i would be upset about. Starting over on a blog that big and old is just awful

can’t she create another account? i know the ideal scenario would be her having her old one back but it’s better than having nothing

The scope of her loss cannot be overstated. 10 years of an archive that includes a Taylor follow and hundreds of interactions with her. A detailed history of the reputation and Eras tours. Even more followers than you'd likely guess. All those DMs and asks. A full accounting of media appearances/profiles/etc. And to be unable to retrieve that while Tumblr refused to take any real action on the constant pervasive harassment she's received over the years? It's crushing, and I don't think I would be able to simply start over either.

my dear dear friend who works so tirelessly to make her blog an impeccable resource - who endures more on a daily basis than I could handle for five minutes - the first person to welcome me into the community here despite being one of the “biggest” blogs. this place is nooothing without Jaime

this site's algorithm is such a joke. the fact there's not a 100% guarantee your blog will remain up even if you're not doing anything wrong is dumb as hell

all that work. I hope @staff knows that losing jaime’s blog (@cages-boxes-hunters-foxes) will kill swiftie tumblr, the fandom that runs this stupid site. it’s a cornerstone of our fan culture and jaime is a friend/mutual to a lot of us.

@staff please restore @cages-boxes-hunters-foxes blog. jaime is beloved in the swiftie fandom. she has helped so many of us personally and she is a resource for new and old fans and is quite literally the kindest, most wonderful person and doesn’t deserve to have her blog deleted. please help fix this. there are quite literally hundreds, if not thousands, of people who will vouch for jaime, including me!!!!! we love her so much, please help.

watching the cassandra x mad woman x idsb performance, and literally im teared up. not because this is sad (i mean, in a way, it actually is), but because this woman is out here making these perfect medleys and figuring out complicated piano arrangements just to perform it once. she’s spending all her free time (which is already so limited with the amount of shows and recovery time required) coming up with the perfect way to surprise her fans and do fan service. once in a generation talent and the most giving artist ever. i love her so much, never letting this two-way parasocial relationship go.

its always "music is subjective" until its taylor swift. no I'm not defending a millionaire white woman. I'm defending the people who enjoy her art. calling her lyrics shallow and meaningless is insulting to the people who connect with those lyrics.

Getting parasocial on main again but the fact that she started this tour as the relationship she wrote those songs about was ending while she was embarking on this career-defining journey and EVERYTHING that has happened in the last 20 months both professionally and personally, and now she’s ending the final US show singing those same songs, reframing them to tell new stories about the memories she’s written about, is just so fucking cool and SO creatively fulfilling. She was terrified of if he ever walked away, but as she was leaving it felt like freedom. It’s death by a thousand cuts if we survive the Great War.

Everything changes, nothing stays the same, things you think are going to kill you end up leading to something new that changes your life. It’s pain and it’s joy and it’s loss and it’s growth. It’s just so, so special to see this happening in real time.
