Meet Glossotherium robustum, or the “tongue beast.” 😛⁣ ⁣ Glossotherium roamed the pampas of Argentina, a grassland region, about 30,000 years ago during the Pleistocene—just before the group’s extinction. As a mylodont sloth, it had more complex teeth than those of other groups of ground sloths.
