I've slept on my thoughts for the episode.

1. I think who ever took Jamie is a women based on their build. Maybe Heather/Lena would explain why Jamie is so obsessed with getting information on Gabi. Margaret has also not interacted with her yet so she might have known her back then and we just don't know that.

2. Ethan needs to die!!! I hate that man so much. Like you admitted the only reason your helping someone who very clearly needs help is because you want to study them like fuck off!!!

3. Am I the only one who is loving Gabi being obsessed with Sir too. Like her hallucinating him agian. Aaaaaah!!!

4. Lacey channel Sir and get your man's back and get rid of shelly. She was obsessing the entire episode and I love that for her.

5."Bubba's bitch in cell block k" is my favorite quote from episode. Love me some Gabi going off on the suspects.

6. Sir getting himself beat up so Gabi comes and sees him because he's hurt is funny af and the way he pouted when it didn't 🤣. Also Gabi was ready to come see him anyway and she didn't even now about him getting beat up so honestly it probably would have worked.

Final thought how dare they make me wait 2 weeks.

Also something not a theory but a bit I started with a friend is suggesting Gabi should have just gone outside when he escaped with a book and a case file and called for him like a dog. He would have come back just throw in a couple I need yous and we are partners and he would have come back like a lost puppy and she could have chained him up. Me and said friend may have started saying "come here sir" like you would call a dog whenever they were trying to find him.

The final thought we had is the headshot photo they used in the press conferences like who took it. Every other time it's the age progression photo and the photo was what he looked like outside the basement. Probably just a plot hole but me and my friend decided for cannon sake Gabi did a photoshoot with sir after she shaved him.

I'm not ever getting over Sir in his feverish state he responds to Gabi saying swallow with "Did I do good Mommy?" Listen I know at the the time he was having flashbacks but I don't care I'm deranged

Gabi x Sir Snowed In AU

Hugh is a snow ranger in Kakslauttanen Arctic Village and Gabi is going for a retreat there. She had some perks from her corporate PR job, allowing her to choose between a holiday home in Barcelona and a log cabin in Finland. In the end, she went with fluffy socks and hot cocoa.

When Gabi arrives, she's greeted by a handsome man called Hugh. Apparently, he is there to ensure her comfort and safety for as long as she'll let him the duration of her stay.

Hugh leads her to her cabin on horseback. His horse is called Maya, she's a sweetheart and loves Gabi immediately.

Once Ms Gabrielle's luggage has been unloaded, Hugh walks her through the highlights in the village. He recommends the spa, the hot rocks and the forest, mostly for the wild rabbits.

Gabi thanks him for his help as he prepares to leave. He would've stayed forever if she asked.

Over the next few days, Hugh makes the same mistake time and time again. His usual rounds involve checking in on the dozen or so guests in the arctic village yet somehow he spends too long at Ms Gabrielle's. Every. Morning.

Really it's not his fault. He knocks, as usual, asks the guest if there is anything he can do for them. If yes, he stays. If no, he moves on. With Ms Gabrielle, all she does is smile and invite him in and he's powerless. Self control is a foreign concept and before he knows it, he's sitting next to her, by the fireplace, drinking the mulled wine he bought for her, just one day after she arrived.

Clearly, he has favourites. His boss can never find out that he spends nearly two hours with Ms Gabrielle each morning, let alone the fact that he brings her freshly baked cinnamon rolls and leaves them by her doorstep.

That kind of thing is frowned upon by professionals with other guests to consider.

Not him, though. Ms Gabrielle is worth the recklessness that may or may not guide him these days. With her, he can be himself, with all of his peculiarities and passions to boot. She accepts him.

This particular morning, the two are talking about why they chose Finland and who they'd want to bring next time around. For Hugh, it's his younger brother, Martin. He would love to show him the reindeer grazing in the spring time. Its so peaceful.

For Gabi, it's her father. For as long as she could remember, the man had always hated the cold. It would be nice to show him another side to the snow. Besides, he'd never left the US. This would be good for him.

Catching a glimpse of the time, Hugh sees that they've set a new record. This morning chat is coming up to three hours yet somehow he can't find it in him to feel regret. Every second in her presence was worth the potential reprimand.

As he prepares to finish his morning rounds, with a slight delay, he promises to make her dinner on his next day off. Mounting his horse, he tells her that his uncle taught him a few family recipes he'd like to show her.

Gabi watches him ride off from her window and chuckles softly to herself. This man wants to make her pasta and lobster.

As promised, two days later, Hugh is at her doorstep carrying a basket full of ingredients. That night, there is an insanely dangerous blizzard that traps them in her cabin. Not that they realised, of course. Their first date was going too well for them to check the weather forecast and risk cutting it short.

They are snowed in for three days. Its bliss. No emails, no early starts, no meetings, just lots of red wine and orgasms.

Thankfully, the cabin is warm and well stocked. Gabi is enjoying the baecation and Hugh needed an excuse to neglect the other guests. All in all, its a win.

I had this conversation with my friend about Margaret’s reaction to Gabi.

Basically, I think everyone else can all more easily accept/come to terms with and eventually forgive Gabi, for holding Sir captive. The reason for this is that, they all at one point were held captive and probably have had moments in which they thought, “I wish I could make my abductor feel the way I felt.”

But Margaret was never abducted. Her son was, and she has never received any sort of closure. She’s being held captive by the idea of information, hope, recognition, reunion, and/or closure.

So Margaret, as the mother of an abductee, despite knowing that sir probably deserved it and keeping him captive probably kept other safe from himz Despite that, she can’t forgive (just yet at least, she barely started therapy last season) Gabi because now there’s a big part of her mind who has put Gabi in the role of the person who abducted her son.

None of the others have ever been in the position that their loved ones were, while they were missing.

The reason Lacey’s mom (despite her being a psychopath, in my opinion 😅) can be so chill with Gabi, is because Gabi is the reason Lacey was able to escape. Gabi is the reason Lacey was able to laugh and open up again.

But Margaret doesn’t have any of that. Her son was abducted and Gabi is an abductor. She can’t compartmentalization while around Gabi and that’s why her “Margaret-vision” doesn’t work in Gabi’s presence.

Anyway, that’s my amateur psychoanalysis of the Margaret/Gabi dynamic.
