Cut Through The Noise

A four-page comic for a poem called "Cut Through the Noise". The colours are taken from the Palestine flag.

"There's a lot of noise right now
Screams dehumanizing poor souls
Groans from those in willful ignorance"

Against a red background, a white-coloured Muslim woman wearing a hijab and a dress clutches her face and looks up with horrified eyes. Surrounding her are spiky bubble outlines and shadows of upside-down angular snakes that have the head of a human crossing each other. The snake on the left is rolling its eyes and thinking of scribbles. The snake on the right is furiously yelling. The spiky speech bubbles next to it feature blood in the first one, a puddle of blood next to two Xs in the second one, and a pair of eyes above a knife dripping with blood.
"People digging deeper and deeper holes
And it's overwhelming, it really is
I do not blame you
Sometimes you feel that your voice is too small
I feel that way too"

Against a red background is a shadow of a deep hole with the Muslim woman at the bottom, hugging her knees. Above, an IDF soldier looks down, holding a rifle. The text of the poem goes down the hole.
"But despite that, I urge you to keep going
And demand for what's right
Even it sounds like a whimper
You're still joining in the fight"

Three panels with a red background in the panels and a black background for the page. In the first panel, a green-coloured arm comes out from the screen and into the panel, offering her hand to the Muslim woman who is surprised. In the second panel, the green-coloured woman is revealed to be a resistance fighter wearing the keffiyeh as she grabs the edge of the panel and etends her hand outside the panel. The third panel is a close-up shot of the Muslim woman grabbing the resistance fighter's arm.
"And soon the rest of us will join
We can stand together here
We can cut through the white noise
And make our message clear"

Above the page is black cracking into the red background. Below the text is the resistance fighter looking determined as she grips the hand of the Muslim woman, now also coloured green, who looks very glad to see her. Behind them is a shouting crowd protesting for Palestine. Some of them hold signs saying "CEASEFIRE NOW" and "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free".

Cut Through The Noise

Even as the strike ends, the Palestinian genocide has not.

Now more than ever, there are so many conflicting voices. People with their own self-serving, hateful motivations speak over us, and sometimes our own voices can turn against us. We may feel like our voice isn't enough or we aren't doing enough.

This is why it's so important to learn to shut down that noise. No matter how much people scream that what we're doing is useless or a waste of time, keep talking. Keep talking about Palestine. Keep talking about Palestine for as long as this goes on, both online and in real life. If Israel won't end their genocide, we won't end our protest.

Below is a list of what you can do and the poem transcript.

Check and spread this post which contains a comprehensive list on how to help Palestine.

i have nothing to say that hasn't already been said in regards to the Uk Supreme Court hearing, nor do i have the mental capacity right now, so you get rhis long draft from february for now instead:

there is no feminism without trans rights. there is no feminism if you are pointing towards trans women and assessing whether they are "womanly enough". there is no feminism if you are pointing towards trans women and saying they can't get periods. "they can't birth a child, how are they women!?". there is no feminism if you turn around to trans men and ask if they've considered their future fertility. if you reduce their worth and their livelihood to their ability to bear a child. there is no feminism if you come after hrt because you can say it's trans healthcare all you want... until they come for your hrt. for your birth control, for your plan b, for your viagra, for YOUR hrt. there is no feminism if you insist on restricting trans healthcare. "no no, they need more time to think about it!" anyway, i'll wait 6 months for a doctors appointment only to be told i must be due on. have you considered it's anxiety??? there is no feminism if you insist on verifying people's sex. hi, hello, sorry! mandatory genital check! yes, we have security stationed outside the women's restrooms! don't worry about it, i'm sure that viral video of a cis woman being hounded by cis men pretending to be security guards is fake, it mustttt be a trans thing. yeah. no, it isn't bad that this trans person got misgendered and hatecrimed and assaulted. look at them, they aren't even trying. if they wanted to not be attacked, they would've worn the right thing. it's what they were wearing, right?

there is no feminism when the arguments against trans people are just misogyny repacked

what makes a woman a woman? no no, wait. you're 18! have you thought about your reproductive future? what if you change your mind and want kids ohhh you're gonna regret that. yes yes, these puberty blockers that both cis and trans people on? those are harmful because we shouldn't be messing with children's hormones but we're only going to ban them for trans people. yeah, i'm sure they work differently for cis kids! don't worry about it, the blockers know when a person is trans and then it starts attacking their body because that is absolutely how science works!

if jkr was a feminist she would talk about women's rights without a trans person coming into the equation.

she would talk about the fact that violence against women has been declared a national emergency in the uk, and she wouldn't follow it up with trans bathroom debates. that 70k donation to stop trans women being legally recognised as women? maybe that could have been spent elsewhere in the legal system. perhaps in ensuring that rapists and abusers actually get convicted of their crimes and that the 1 in 2 women who are victims of this do not shake their head with an empty sigh when they're asked if they would like to press charges. she wouldn't have come online with 14m followers and debated the validity of imane khelif's success, wouldn't have argued that a woman of colour was trans because she don't fit her western ideals of what a woman should look like, because feminism isn't feminism if it isn't intersectional. she wouldn't have handed johnny fucking depp millions upon millions. she wouldn't have given marilyn manson fucking flowers. if jkr were a feminist she would have spoken up about farage and his proposed restrictions to abortion. reform are leading the uk polls right now, this is becoming more of a threat but no no, silence.

if jkr was a feminist, she wouldn't be Supporting Donald Trump. she wouldn't be publicly praising him for his work against transgender athletes in america when he has over double the amount of sexual assault "allegations" than there even ARE trans athletes at college level in america.

there is no feminism without trans rights, and you need to take the wool off of your eyes if you think that you as a cis woman are safe from this. because you're not.

when we start bringing arguments about reproductive capabilities back? when we start arguing about how much "effort" a woman puts in, how much makeup she wears. when we start reducing womanhood back down to aesthetics and reproductive value?

you aren't safe.

and if you aren't standing with trans people right now, if you aren't standing for intersectionality right now?

then you aren't a feminist either.

John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, Pattie Boyd and Jenny Boyd board the train from Euston to Bangor, while Cynthia Lennon is prevented from boarding and left on the platform with Peter Brown and Neil Aspinall , 25th August 1967. Part 2 - gifs.

Part 1 - photos and newspaper reports

Part 3 - Cyn talks about missing the train

“It was a bright, sunny morning when we set off. I was ready early, but Pattie, George, and Ringo were coming in our car, and were late.

“By the time Anthony drew up at the station entrance we were cutting it fine and had five minutes to catch the train. John leapt out of the car with the others and ran for the platform – leaving me to follow with our bags.

“It was the result of years in which he’d taken it for granted that others would see to all the details. I followed him as fast as I could. The station was mayhem, with fans, reporters, police and passengers all milling around. I struggled to push my way through, but when I got to the platform my way was barred by a huge policeman who, unaware that I was with the Beatles party, said, ‘Sorry, love, too late, the train’s going,’ and pushed me aside.

“I shouted for someone to help. John poked his head out of the train window, saw what was happening and yelled, ‘Tell him you’re with us! Tell him to let you on.’

“It was too late. The train was already pulling away from the platform and I was left standing with our bags, tears pouring down my cheeks. It was horribly embarrassing. Reporters were crowding around me, flashbulbs were popping and I felt a complete fool. Peter Brown, Brian’s assistant, had come to see us off: he put his arm around me and said he’d take me to Bangor by car. ‘We’ll probably get there before the train,’ he assured me, anxious to cheer me up.

“But what neither he nor anyone else knew was that my tears were not simply about the missed train. I was crying because the incident seemed symbolic of what was happening to my marriage. John was on the train, speeding into the future, and I was left behind. As I stood there, watching the train disappear into the distance, I felt certain that the loneliness I was experiencing on that platform would become permanent one day.”

Beatles spy au + ocs basically John and his team are trying to stop Paul in this au, Paul is famous because of Jim(his dad) because he has a company he tries to takeover the world with it. He also brought Paul into this business so he could takeover the company. In Paul’s team we have George (inventor) and Tammy (poison control)in John’s team we have Ringo and Abigail. Brian is the one that calls out the missions for John’s team and did the head of the agency; that’s all the lore for right now.so here’s some bonus drawings.

"My mum had a massive influence on me, not just in what she wore and how she looked, but in her spirit." - Stella McCartney "My mum was quite a wanderer. She had a real sense of adventure and a cheekiness to her." - Mary McCartney "Mum was beautiful, lovely, peaceful, joyous and so sweet." - James McCartney ""Her strength, her passion, everything that we are, all of it is in Mary, Stella, James, and me, and my dad" - Heather McCartney "She was a very fun person to be with, very amusing and very witty. She had a great take on life, and of course she was very artistic. There wasn't a lot of sadness about her at all. She was an upbeat lady." - Paul McCartney

One of my favorite things are when trump supporters, conservatives,or politicians listen to rage against the machine. Like are you only listening to the instrumentals or what? Because um I don’t think they like you or your values. 🤔

Sources report the occupation has withdrawn from Al-Shifa Hospital complex and surrounding neighborhoods.

It is reported that over 50 martyrs have been founded in the streets outside the complex entrance. Hundreds more martyrs lie in the complex itself, we may not know an exact number for many hours.

Many buildings have been either bulldozed out of existence or burned and gutted so viciously as to be completely unusable. Many homes in the vicinity are in the same condition.
