How tall the creators of Legend of Korra made me Vs How tall you fans of Legend of korra make me out to be. That would make for some intresting fan art me as a giant carrying the other red lotus members on my shoulders firing giant combustion beams from my eye.

i don’t know what amuses me more: the image of ming hua navigating a seat belt buckle with water arms, or the knowledge that at some point before her incarceration, she became proficient enough in driving that she’s the red lotus’ go-to getaway driver

it turns out that the rest of the red lotus’ capacity to navigate a vehicle combined is that of a particularly well-trained platypusbear

and now i’m imagining ming hua liked to make jokes about her lack of arms at her comrades’ expense, just like toph to make fun of the gaang for forgetting she was blind

“Women can’t drive-”

Someone called Ming Hua “ugly”.

Well, excuse YOU for looking perfect the day you get out of a cell over FIRE where you probably weren’t allowed a meal with a high concentration of water and had to eat dried meats and dried fruits all the time and where you CAN’T TEND TO YOUR OWN FACE…

Ming Hua looked healthier in this episode and yeah she fucked shit up but it’s good to know she’s getting enough to eat and staying hydrated.

BUT WE NEVER FOUND OUT IF MING HUA AND GHAZAN WERE ATTRACTED TO EACH OTHER.

Okay so is nobody going to point out that Ming Hua looks so gaunt probably because she was forced to consume as little food and water as possible during her imprisonment to lessen the chances that she can bend her way outta there with the water they give her?

By starving Ming Hua without letting her die, the guards had ensured that she remained in a weakened state (just enough to make dealing with her easier in case she gets any ideas), which I’m guessing has worsened over time during her imprisonment.

As for the food and water she had probably been given, it presumably wouldn’t have been enough for her to bend with to enable her to fully escape on her own.

Imagine how little that amount of food and water would be, or how dry the food would be to ensure that she drinks the water she’s given instead of taking down guards with it.

I think Zaheer and Ghazan were lucky enough to find her not giving in to dehydration and/or hunger.

THINK ABOUT THIS FOR A SECOND. What if…

Ming Hua actually gets super tired maintaining her water arms for too long, but…

… she’s too proud to admit it when she’s exhausted, so she just kind of lags behind the rest, sulking

And Ghazan is usually the first to notice when she’s like this, so he alerts the others, and Zaheer airbends her onto P'li’s shoulders so that she can be the tallest for once.

And then, when they come to Ba Sing Se, Zaheer, Ghazan, and P'li construct a special outfit for Ming Hua with sleeves of the perfect diameter so that Ming Hua can maintain water arms of an ideal size and not wear herself out so easily. Ghazan proposes the idea in the first place because Mingzan, and Zaheer does most of the sewing while P'li just sort of supervises the whole thing and makes sure that it suits Ming Hua’s tastes.
