♫ - Sunday morning by maroon 5
Sunday is a rest day for a lot of people, but for others it’s the busiest day of the week. It might be hard to control yourself and not procrastinate, right? Here are some things you can do (as a student) on Sundays to help boost your productivity but staying relaxed at the same time!
go for a run/ walk/ do some yoga
have a brunch
make some freshly squeezed orange juice
take a long shower/ bath
read a book
make your to-do list for the day
make a Sunday rewards list
clean and tidy your room
complete the smaller tasks on your list
look for a good playlist
sort out all your work
get all your study materials
get a head start on next week’s homework/ assignments
start working on the bigger tasks
take breaks regularly (exercise, get some snacks, hang out with friends)
motivate yourself with those rewards
find the balance between work and relaxation
pack your bag for the next day
make your lunch for the next day (tips)
pick out your outfit for Monday - socks and undies too!
take a shower if you haven’t already
read over your notes again
read a book/ listen to an audiobook/ watch some videos
change your sheets
go to bed earlier than usual: you’ve got a whole week ahead of you!
It isn’t easy to find that balance between work and relaxation, but it’s oh so important! Sunday should be the day that, at the end of it, you feel like you’ve done enough work but that you’ve also rested enough. Good luck!

“Oh captain, my captain.”
Visual learners are those who learn best through what they see. For example, a visual learner needs to see a math problem worked out step by step rather than just listen to the teacher explain it in order to learn. If that sounds like you here some tips on how to get the most out of your study time.
Not sure what type of learner you are? Take this test at Education Planner and find out!
1) Color Code Your Notes
Color coding your notes can help you visualize the information you learned that day and help you quickly identify the important bits. They also make your notes pretty and colorful. Try assigning each color a meaning. For instance, everything yellow is going to be on the test and everything blue is a homework assignment.
2) Flash Cards
Flash cards are a great tool for both visual and kinaesthetic learners. To make them more visual learning friendly, copy down the graphs or symbols that your teacher used in the lesson and make a matching game with their definitions. Caution, do not over load your flash cards! With flash cards, the gist is better than a 5 paragraph essay. If you want to make your cards online check out this handy site:
3) Watch Tutorial Videos
Watching a video can be a great way to refresh your memory or learn a new concept. In a tutorial video you can pause, rewind, or fast forward the video whenever a concept is too hard or familiar. The Khan Academy and Youtube are both great resources for educational videos. On Youtube, we love

Your Teacher Math Help
Khan Academy
4) Rewrite Or Type Your Notes
It may seem repetitive but rewriting or typing your hand written notes is a great way to review the lesson. For visual learners, seeing the information again and again in new ways helps it stick even deeper in your brain.

Wake up early. Not as early as during school term - term break is not a time to be waking up at 6am daily - but not at noon either. Aim for around 8-10am, so you’re not sleepy af when you start work, and you haven’t slept half the day away.
Slacken a little. Don’t overwork yourself!! I find a good method is to restrain your studying time to within your normal school hours (8am-6pm for me - which gives plenty of time to relax and watch tv shows in the evening), and study for about 2/3 of that time. This way you’ll still have covered at least several hours of work, but won’t feel exhausted :) (oh yes, if possible review your notes before sleeping to make them stick)
Scheduling. Have a masterlist of tasks to complete/goals to achieve during the break. Work out a rough estimate on how many days are needed to do complete all you have to do, and spread your tasks out evenly, preferably by weeks. Remember to work around your dates with friends (or significant others)/vacations! Keep to your goals so you have more free days :))
Study groups. During breaks it’s much much easier to arrange study sessions with friends. It’ll feel a lot less like you’re wasting your break, and you can catch meals with them before/after/during your session, so you’ll enjoy your study days more.
Go out/invite in/chill. It’s term break!!! Go out with your friends/get them to come over!! Or if you prefer having some alone time, have the day to yourself. At least 1 every 4 days, more if possible! If you’re part of a group activity that trains frequently, this can be skipped, but shouldn’t be.
