Division of subjects:
Every subject is learnt and graded in a different way. You can't use the same study techniques for every subject you have. You have mostly 3 types of subjects:
Memorization based
Practical/Question based
Theory/Essay based
Memorization based:
Mostly Biology, Sciences, Geography etc are fully based on memorization and so you'll use memory study techniques like flash cards and active recall.
Practical/Question based:
Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Accountancy etc are practice subjects. The more you do your questions and understand how a sum is done, the better you can score.
Theory/Essay based:
English, history, business studies etc are theory based. The more you write, the way you write and the keywords you use are the only things that will get you your grades. So learn the formats and the structure on how to write your answers
Note: Some subjects are a combination of the three. Like Economics etc
The reason we divide the subjects is because you can adopt the right study methods for the right subject. Like ex: business studies is mostly based on how you write your answer and the keywords, if you're gonna spend your time memorizing in this, it's a waste of time and energy.
Hope this helps :)
Thank you, really appreciate it! And right back to you <33

A reminder to everyone who feels overwhelmed. It is okay. It's okay to be nervous because of the work overload. It's also okay to be overwhelmed by the work you had to do but procrastinated. It's okay. It's going to be okay. Start now and everything will be okay. It's better to complete atleast half or quarter of the work then not do anything at all.

Heyy :) Thanks!
I'm back. After a long time, I'm finally back at posting these regular updates. I had a huge stagnant month but I feel like I'm getting back on track.... It's not even 2 months before my finals start and I'm not that anxious but still anxious. I've got 16 exams till February 2nd week and then cancel 3 days because of school events etc etc.... I've literally got 35 days T-T
I've got an exam tomorrow so :")
Today I:
Did 2+ hours of business studies
Learnt for English 2+ hours
Day 7/ Day 9
Okay, only 1 more day until suffering kinda ends for like 2 months? Anyway, it was a productive day but I still have a ton of stuff to revise.
Completed:
Part IV of 17 lessons out of like 33 (T-T)
Revised MCQs
Need to revise:
Part IV of 16 more lessons
Gonna be a long night
Total hours of study: 6 hours and still counting (Updated: 8 hours)
Did absolutely nothing today because one, I was fasting and two, I'm a lazy ass potato. So, nothing to update though I did do some Computer project with my classmates. So... Kinda did something? And tomorrow is Eid so I guess i wouldn't do anything tomorrow either so... :")
What's your fav subject in economics? Btw I looove your blog โโ โขโ แดโ โขโ โ
Hey dear Anon :)
Well I'm glad you like my blog :D
And that's a tough question not because i like everything but because I absolutely have a love-hate relationship with economics. It's made me cry so badly but somehow I love how tough it is too...
I kinda like Microeconomics (we had this in junior year), Consumption analysis, Production analysis, Distribution analysis, Market structure, Pricing. These are some of my personal favourites, if i had to choose Macroeconomics topics, I'd go with types of economies, employment theories, law of markets and obviously Keynesian economics because that guy doesn't let me live T-T
I guess that's it. Thanks for the ask :)
The fact that you are not where you want to be should be enough motivation.
Would you rather pick a university of informatics knowing that it'll be difficult to get a job (but not impossible) at the end or choose a university of economy and be assured that you'll be one of the first to be called for a job?
Hey Anon! :D
Honestly, i wouldn't pick both because one I'm not interested in getting a job in both of those fields but I do find certain papers/branches of it really fascinating.
But coming to your question, i don't really know myself. If you're asking for yourself then i would say choose a field that you actually like and are genuinely interested in or atleast have some curiousity about. It's good to consider job prospects while choosing majors but I also believe that many times what you study may not be what you actually purse.
I've said it once and I'll say it again, I know many people who chose one major and ended up taking a job which wasn't even their specialization.
So in simple words: choose what you wanna do. If you wanna take informatics because of interest, then do it. If you don't wanna take it because of the limited scope in jobs. Then don't. Likewise in economics. You want it? Choose it. If you don't, then don't.
What you choose is based on your preferences and individual goals. Don't let anyone else choose for you.
Hope this helped <3
