One Admires Perfection The Other Embraces Imperfection

I have a confession, i HATE owling at the moon (Loona x Octavia).

After what canon has presented of both characters, since the begining i felt that a romantic relationship between them is the worst possible route for either of them in terms of character developtment since neither of them seem to be in the right emotional (Loona) or mental (Octavia) state to have something healthy, specially since it would be mentally scaring for Octavia to interact further with blitzø taking in count she resents him, which is not healthy in the slightess.

A lot of people seem to think that they would be a healthier stolitz, but i think that comparing it to them is a giant red flag.

I don't know ¿what is your opinion?

Honestly, personally, I find the ship to be a bit weird. I won't hate anyone if they ship it, I could see the appeal, but like with additional context, the ship is just a bit weird for me .

for two major reasons why I find this ship a bit weird:

1) If Stolas and Blitz were to get married, they would become step siblings.

I personally don't like shipping step-siblings. It is just not for me.

2) it been canon that Octavia is 17 years old, and Loona is implied to be around 18-21 years old.

Even though the age difference isn't that big, it is still very weird to me. Like Octavia is still in school, while Loona is technically an adult with a job.

Overall, I don't see these two together in a relationship.

Gwaine - charm and eternal flirt. Gwaine was too good at this - ease, smiles, endless confidence. he didn’t just flirt, he did it so naturally that even merlin sometimes got lost.

Gwaine:. have you ever wondered why i'm always around you?.

Merlin:. because you drink in the tavern, and then someone has to drag you out?.

Gwaine:. oh, so you care about me. and here i thought i was the one courting you.

and while Merlin was protesting, Gwaine was already throwing him his most charming smile.

LMFAO toxic polycule with three way cheating all around. Arthur and Gwen are married but Gwen is also having an affair with Lancelot who is having an affair with Merlin who is having an affair with Arthur who is having an affair with Lancelot who is having an affair with Gwen who is having an affair with Merlin- idk how they get caught/exposed/confess but I just think toxic polycule whatever the fuck their ship name is is kinda funny. Also. Gwaine is there? For some reason? Hes Merlin’s boytoy on the side. Arthur has angry sex with him when the agony of lying to your three lovers gets too much and Gwaine pushes him just far enough. Oh, and Gwaine’s boyfriend Percival is over there holding hands with his boyfriend Elyan who is also Gwaine’s boyfriend.

Oh. This is definitely all leading up to Camelot being a huge polycule. Isn’t it? Leon is in a qpr with all of them. And hates it. (Just kidding, he loves all his idiots. He just wishes they made better decisions. Or let him rest.)

Idk where this is going anymore. It started off being a silly haha mutual cheating idea I was laughing at but now. Now we’re here.

Merlin and the knights playing never have I ever

At first, it's innocent stuff and Gwaine complains that it's all dull trivia and they need to start getting into the more interesting questions. Leon looks him dead in the eyes and says "Fine. Never have I ever been arrested" Literally everyone but Leon drinks.

From that point it becomes a challenge to see who's done the most outrageously criminal shit "Never have I ever been in a bar fight" "Never have I ever committed identity fraud" "Never have I ever broken someone out of the dungeons" "Never have I ever stolen from the royal vaults" "Never have I ever committed treason with the King still in the room" And Merlin. Just. Keeps. Drinking. Now it's about trying to find something Merlin hasn't done but one of the others has. The answer turns out to be "Never have I ever been banished from a kingdom"

Merlin passes out before he runs out of criminal things he's done. Magic is the only reason he's still alive the next morning after how high his blood alcohol level was.

After Merlin passes out the knight just look at each other wondering how Merlin hasn't been executed yet with all the shit he's done. Gwaine chuckles and shakes his head "Perks of being the king's mistress"

I was literally talking about out this with a friend but can we please talk about how Merlin receives the consort treatment in the castle. Like Merlin has never been treated like just a manservant.

LIKE the scene with where Leon walks in on them look for a ghost and Merlin goes with “I’m teaching him poetry” bro no one believes that. THE DELETED SCENE where Arthur gives Merlin his mother’s sigil.

But specifically does Arthur realize how this is come into play diplomaticly?? Like kings and queens wouldn’t bother going through Gwen if she doesn’t seem like she has the kings favour. Like they would play nice becuase she’s the queen but it looks like she doesn’t have as much sway over Arthur. They would go through Merlin because he does. Does Arthur realize how he’s inadvertently oppressing the amount of power that Gwen is supposed to have. I know Merlin would not realize what’s going on, Arthur certainly wouldn’t. Does Leon know?? DOES GWEN???

Oh god it gets worse the more I think about it. Its gets worse when you think about how close Merlin would be perceived to be to the round table knights of Camelot.

It’s the fact that when enchanted!Merlin calls Gwaine filthy, instead of a hands-out, “What the hell, man?” he just turns into a kicked puppy.

…Or perhaps, more accurately, a pangolin.

I have a feeling that episode 5 will turn out to be either okay or straight out bad.

I just got the chance to see the valentine merch and I have to say I'm not really impressed.

If I have time this week, I might make some posts discussing what I did and didn't like about the merch.

merleon as the round table parents

it started on a hunting trip, gwaine was teasing mordred and took his stuff and hid it. merlin told him very sternly to give it back and mordred said "thanks dad"

from then on they all started calling merlin dad

with leon it came slower and from lancelot. lance was struggling with his relationship with gwen and he confided in leon

leon helped him work through it and when lance left he clapped leon on the shoulder and said "thanks pops"

of course the others all found out about it and started calling him pops

neither of them fits into "mom" or "dad" categories but they each have a role

the kids go to leon when they need solid advice, when they feel like they cant handle something alone and they need a real answer to a problem

they go to merlin when theyre hurt (physically or mentally) and he helps heal them. they also go to him when they need someone to vent to and not get a real answer from, merlin is more than happy to bitch with someone and he'll hold your grudges for you

when on hunting trips, leon makes sure they have food and merlin prepares it and makes sure everyone gets their share

theyre equally protective of the kids and they'll work together to move heaven and earth for them

when they dont want to deal with the knights they try and pawn them off on each other. they ask merlin for advice and he says "oof that sounds like one for pops"

gwaine gets mad at arthur and goes to leon, who tries to give him advice, gwaine gets even more upset and leon calls for merlin because he cant handle the big shows of emotion

the kids all fight to be the favorite. arthur tells the others he has to be the favorite because he's king, leon grounds him for holding his station above the others heads

merlin's favorite changes based on how much trouble they've cause him

leon's changes based on how well they did in training

raising the knights eventually gets merleon together.
