You know what, really angst gravity falls material/headcannon I have!
Just imagine young Bill is telling his parents about the shining small lights he sees. Only for his parents to look at their son with concern, but his parents just chalk it up to just be his wild imagination.
Now, as years go by, as Bill gets older, he is growing more and more angry. Saying stuff like, "There are lights in the sky! Look, one fell, quick make a wish!"
Now Bill is too old for this type of stuff, so his parents grow more concerned and realize they can no longer just go with, "it just his wild imagination!" So they take him to the doctor and get Bill medicine.
Not knowing this just pushed Bill off the edge some more......
Now, the day came... now Euclid and Scalece could only watch as their son slowly destroyed their home. But as they slowly met their demise, they looked up to tiny lights in the sky... but as the dimension fabric started to destroy itself even faster, Euclid and Scalece looked at each other one last time. Then, they looked at the sky again.
3 perfect stars, but as the two big stars started to fall, they both said their first and last wish.
Now, all that is left behind of them and that night. Is their most prize possessions. Their bow, top hat, and most of all, their son.....

It’s the fact that when enchanted!Merlin calls Gwaine filthy, instead of a hands-out, “What the hell, man?” he just turns into a kicked puppy.
…Or perhaps, more accurately, a pangolin.
thinking about how in the coming of arthur merlin said he had sent for lancelot and lancelot said he knew merlin too well to know when he was lying. so they were absolutely in communication before then since their only interactions were in two episodes before that, which is hardly enough time to be able to tell when someone is lying or not. now im thinking about mercelot writing love letters between seasons 2 and 3 and falling in love without realising it.
In this au, Merlin's frequent use of magic is causing a gradual transformation where he slowly develops dragon like traits (long hair, long teeth, etc..)
While he can manage the physical changes with haircuts and filing his teeth, the psychological impact is far more profound. He's becoming increasingly possessive and restless, exhibiting traits of a dragon guarding its hoard.
"Gaius, I don't understand why I feel so ill," Merlin says, his voice strained.
"Merlin, as a Dragonlord, it's possible you're experiencing hoard sickness," Gaius explains. "Dragons possess hoards of treasure and are fiercely protective of them. When deprived of their hoard, they suffer a debilitating fever until they reclaim it."
"A hoard? What could that be?" Merlin asks, bewildered.
"Think, Merlin. Has anything recently captured your attention or become particularly precious to you?" Gaius inquires.
Merlin struggles to recall, his mind clouded by a growing sense of unease.
As the months pass, Merlin's condition worsens. He struggles to fulfill his duties, his energy waning, and his personality shifting. He becomes short-tempered and withdrawn. The knights, Arthur, Morgana, and Gwen notice his decline, attributing it to a lingering illness. Arthur lessens his chores, and everyone gives him space, unintentionally isolating him further.
One night, the concerned group gathers secretly in Gaius's chambers, defying his orders to leave Merlin undisturbed.
"I can't believe we're doing this," Arthur mutters.
"Arthur," Morgana reassures him. "We're here to see Merlin. Besides, if Gaius catches us, we'll say we had urgent concerns."
"Still, this feels..." Arthur trails off.
"Relax, Princess," Gwaine interjects. "Everything will be fine. Don't pretend you don't miss him."
Suddenly, they hear voices and quickly hide. Merlin emerges, followed by a frustrated Gaius.
"I told you, I'm fine!" Merlin insists, his voice hoarse.
"No, you're not!" Gaius retorts.
"I said I'm fine!" Merlin's eyes flash gold, and a nearby vase shatters.
"It's alright, Merlin," Gaius soothes. "Here, try this new potion."
Merlin drinks the potion, then immediately vomits. "Ugh... I'm so sorry, Gaius. I don't know what's happening to me. It feels like I'm losing my mind."
"It's probably nothing," Gaius says, though his expression is troubled. "You just need rest and medicine."
The group witnesses this unsettling scene, their concern deepening. They realize Merlin's "illness" is far more complex than they ever imagined.
merleon as the round table parents
it started on a hunting trip, gwaine was teasing mordred and took his stuff and hid it. merlin told him very sternly to give it back and mordred said "thanks dad"
from then on they all started calling merlin dad
with leon it came slower and from lancelot. lance was struggling with his relationship with gwen and he confided in leon
leon helped him work through it and when lance left he clapped leon on the shoulder and said "thanks pops"
of course the others all found out about it and started calling him pops
neither of them fits into "mom" or "dad" categories but they each have a role
the kids go to leon when they need solid advice, when they feel like they cant handle something alone and they need a real answer to a problem
they go to merlin when theyre hurt (physically or mentally) and he helps heal them. they also go to him when they need someone to vent to and not get a real answer from, merlin is more than happy to bitch with someone and he'll hold your grudges for you
when on hunting trips, leon makes sure they have food and merlin prepares it and makes sure everyone gets their share
theyre equally protective of the kids and they'll work together to move heaven and earth for them
when they dont want to deal with the knights they try and pawn them off on each other. they ask merlin for advice and he says "oof that sounds like one for pops"
gwaine gets mad at arthur and goes to leon, who tries to give him advice, gwaine gets even more upset and leon calls for merlin because he cant handle the big shows of emotion
the kids all fight to be the favorite. arthur tells the others he has to be the favorite because he's king, leon grounds him for holding his station above the others heads
merlin's favorite changes based on how much trouble they've cause him
leon's changes based on how well they did in training
raising the knights eventually gets merleon together.

How come loona has so many forms?
Like aren't hellhounds supposed to be the lowest class in hell hierarchy?
I mean, it would make sense if she learned all these forms from the book, but it never stated to be case
So, like, all hellhounds have this many forms and somehow lower class under imps?
And if this is the case, hell hierarchy makes little to no sense to me. Because how is magical species of dogs with many forms lower than another species of hellborn with no powers.
I don't know if this if a fic already but building on that one trope. The one where after arthur dies they ALL get sent back to the day merlin comes to camelot.
That, but merlin is the only one who doesn't know what has happened in the last timeline. (To reverse time has to give up his memories.)
And everyone is acting weird like the prince is glaring at his father and father's ward and is being really nice to me.
The king is keeps glaring at me but everytime he tries to be mean to me the prince just puts his hand on his sword. Gwen my new best friend is trying to set me up with my employer. And I just met these nice (and good looking) men. I think gwaine and lancelot know about my magic. Maybe the king too but I'm not sure since the prince doesn't let him talk to me.
The king's ward is kinda avoiding me for some reason, but she's kinda warming up to me.
The other servant keep treating me like a lord for some reason.
When I went to visit my mother there was a man named balinor who is actually my father and is a fucking dragonlord.
The dragon under the castle is kinda weird, keeps wanting me to bring a sword or something.
I might do something with this in the future, it will take me while.
i wasted my time on this dsfjk, bsgakjgkjfgajk
end me
and of course i have to balance it out with fluff

HELLO NEW BEST FRIEND, I JUAT GOT THE IDEA FOR A NEW MERLEON HEADCANON!!!!
The Purge began with the death of Queen Ygraine and the birth of Arthur. Before that, magic was legal and quite well-known amongst the nobility and common people, just a part of everyday life.
Leon would have been about 5 at the time magic was banned. Maybe six, as it took time for laws to be implemented across kingdoms.
There is a possibility there were people in his household who had magic. Maybe a servant who could clean his muddy clothes in a split second, so he didn't get into trouble. Maybe a nanny, or a tutor who could make the figurines in his storybooks come to life.
If Leon's father is half the man Leon is, there is a real possibility that his morals would have overshadowed his loyalty to the crown. So when the word comes by the King's messenger that all magic users are to be burnt alive, he send him back with the assurance that it will be done.
But instead, he start plotting.
Those who learnt magic and could stand to give it up did so. Those who couldn't, born with the innate ability, got help from a mysterious source to flee in the middle of the night, across the border to Dyfed and take a boat out of Albion, where magic was still welcomed.
And Leon, who is a curious little child, and confused as to why his father is disobeying the king, asks him knew night. And his father tells him "A man's loyalty to his morals must come before his loyalty to the crown, or he is bit a man at all, but a puppet with a sword."
And Leon remembers.
Leon obeys the crown. He joins the knighthood like his brothers, he serves his king, and he carries out Uther's orders without question.
And nobody but him notices when his blade cuts through grass or just tents instead of people. Nobody but him notices when his coin bag mysteriously falls a few feet away, conveniently right in front of the druid child hiding in the bushes. Nobody but him notices when he helps a child escape up a tree.
But the druids notice.
They notice when the child starts talking about the noble Knight of Camelot who helped them escape. And them another, who told them the same, and then another. It adds up.
So when their beloved Knight is dying, of course they will take notice. Of course they will pray to their goddess. Of course they will use the most powerful tool they have, the cup of life, to bring him back.
Even Gods listen when so many pray. They grant him the gift of immortality.
The druids aren't the only ones who notice.
The servants notice. They clean his armour, and his weaponry. Each and every time, it comes back bloodless. And if it doesn't, it's certainly not bloody enough to have been in a massacre.
Servants talk. Eventually, word reaches Gwen. And then, in her adorable way, she blurts it out at the most inopportune moment.
And Merlin finds out.
OOOO THIS IS SO COOL
ima add some thoughts to this….
Merlin would either immediately tell Leon about his magic like and idiot or not tell him anything and just get really close to him.
Everyone, including Leon, was heavily confused at to why Merlin was trying to get so close to Leon, he was practically stalking him.
Once Leon bumped into some Druids on patrol and was talked to them, Merlin, who was following him, tried to hide and hoped that none of them would notice him.
Of course, the Druids noticed and called him out, thinking surely Leon knew about Emrys and who he was.
And obviously, he didn’t.
Merlin realizing he had been caught, stepped out from the trees.
Leon was confused and terrified of Merlin being there.
Why was he here? Was he following him? Why? Would he tell Arthur what he saw?
Then he realized that the Druids had called him Emrys.
From being around the Druids so much Leon must have heard about Emrys, which only made him more confused,.
Why were they calling Merlin Emrys? Wasn’t he almost a god to the Druids? Merlin wasn’t a god. He was Merlin.
Apparently Merlin was not just Merlin, he was Emrys.
Leon and Merlin had a long talk after that, both having to explain the full story to each other (mostly on Merlin’s part)
They both grew very close after some awkward few days of processing what they learned about each other, so much so that people started to suspect they were courting.
Their denies of the accusations were not taken seriously, thinking they were just trying to keep their courtship secret.
Eventually, Arthur found out, who was not happy about two of his best friends courting.
Arthur demanded answers they couldn’t give, especially when Arthur wouldn’t take them just being friends as an answer.
So, as a last resort, they bought into the lie of them courting. Saying that they just realized their feelings over time.
This lie worked for a while, people still asked questions but most of them accepted the fact they wanted to keep their relationship lowkey.
This worked until they actually started to have feelings for each other.
"To base characters after an animal isn't a bad idea. Especially if its a demon. But vivs designs handle that theme poorly, since it's sometimes difficult to recognize what kind of animal the character is supposed to be. (prime example: alastor, vaggie, mimzy)"
