touhou’s gameplay rules being diagetic is really funny to me you live in a fantasy world where gods go shopping at the market on the weekends along with all sorts of youkai and oni and what not, people with the ability to rewrite fate, stop time, manipulate density, become nuclear bombs, etc., but there’s a big sign over there that says: ”All Disputes Must Be Settled Via Dodgeball” and everyone just goes along with it.
