i'm SO laid back, i only care about like 3 things in the world:

every person on this earth and their opinion of me

the crushing psychological weight of being alive

it's not a true pet peeve but when certain phrases are divorced from their contexts it does give me a weird little butterfly in my stomach.

like, okay. "hell is other people" is an excellent line from Sartre's play "no exit". it's very short, you could probably read it in an afternoon or two. but the line isn't making a commentary about all people - it's actually specifically about the 3 characters in the play. they're all very bad people who are legitimately being punished in-actual-hell. they are forced into a room together for eternity & have been hand-picked to be as annoying as possible to each other as punishment for the sins they committed while alive.

and that concept is crazy! i don't write fanfiction but imagine what characters would be actual torture for each other! "hell is other people" isn't condemning humanity - it is saying we create hell from other people.

or like - shakespeare's "brevity is the soul of wit"! that is a joke line said by a joke character. polonius constantly talks too much and says fucking nothing of use. while hamlet is having like, the worst year of anyone's life - polonius gives really fucking vague and useless advice, including such popular sayings as: "to thine own self be true" and "neither a borrower or a lender be." when he says brevity is the soul of wit, it is meant ironically for the audience - this is a man who never shuts the fuck up. he himself is not brief, and therefore witless.

stuff like this just makes me wonder like - how many idioms or sayings come from completely different contexts and we just. fogrgot :(

Just thinking about people making year-end summaries of their accomplishments and also about reasons to keep yourself alive through the next year. Sorry, it’s a bit of a sappy comic.

Those are just my observations and I can sure be wrong :)

Pisces and Gemini get easily distracted and there are times they do not want to take real action or make a decision. Libra IS indecisive but they are also a cardinal sign, which means that they'll always have a picture in mind of what they want, they are just not sure. Pisces and Gemini do NOT have even the picture in their minds

Many people misunderstand Scorpio because Scorpio is not expressive enough to show what they really meant

Saturn in harmonious aspects with Neptune indicates a balanced view of reality and phantasy. Maybe the person knows how to make dreams a reality

You make really nice friends with people that are the sign of your ascendant. For example Taurus rising makes easily friends with Taurus sun or moon etc

If somebody's mercury sign is opposite to your sun or moon sign, may mean that you cannot communicate well. For example you may have sun or moon in Sagittarius and the other person may have mercury Gemini etc etc.

Sometimes your moon or mercury sign has stronger energy than your sun sign. Especially the moon sign in women

Your moon sign shows the way you perceive your mother and your sun sign, may show the way you see your father

Moon's house shows ways you can express your feelings easier. For example moon in 3rd is through communication, 5th through fun and art, 8th through risk etc.

Venus has NOTHING to do with sex (at least when it comes to male charts). Mars, has nothing to do with friendships and flirting (at least when it comes to male charts again)

The planet that is strong to you, affects the way people look at you. You may be an annoyed by people and stressed Virgo but with Venus in Libra as your strongest aspect so people will perceive you as flirting, sweet, social butterfly and not as a Virgo etc.

Earth and Air signs love searching for the root of problems and not the problem itself

Water and Fire signs may give the vibe of deep and wise people, especially Scorpio, Pisces, Leo and Sagittarius

Sagittarius sun and mercury finds it hard to be evil or mean to somebody

Cancer, Taurus, Scorpio and Capricorn suns/moons make the most thoughts of wanting to hurt people they don't like. I don't say that they will kill you, but at some points they seriously have these thoughts and no I'm not kidding (:P)

I've never met a Leo that doesn't LOVE receiving compliments non stop

Sagittarius avoids accepting compliments

Sun and rising combos of Leo, Aries, Capricorn and Aquarius will make an absolute and maybe dictator-like personality. Taurus Suns can also be great dictators if they want to :P

Cancer loves food

Saturn in 8th gives the person a constant fear of losing people they love, and that they will stay alive watching loved ones dying

It is very common to listen to Pisces Moon/Mercury/Saturn and maybe Sun, people saying that they have to find a way out or to escape from something they are caged in

Capricorn Suns/Mercuries/Mars have extremely strong sex drive. Maybe just like Aries, Sags, and Scorpio

Aquarius people in groups may actually hate each other more than any other sign does
