✨ Romanticising your life ✨

If your life seems boring and mundane, this is the mindset you need! You don't need expensive clothing, beauty products or other items for this as it is purely a switch in your thoughts and the way you view the world.

Here is my two cents on how to best do it:

Gratitude journaling Take some time at the end of the day dedicated to journaling. Have a segment on what was good that particular day. Write down small things that made you happy. (e.g. sunrays falling onto your pillow in the morning, birds chirping as you go to work, buying a new fountain pen and using it for the first time etc.)

Write a list of aesthetic moments Either match this to the aesthetic you're trying to achieve or just generally admiring moments you find aesthetic. Go over this list and look for these things and opportunities to incorporate into your day-to-day life. A list for the "that girl" aesthetic may look like this: waking up to the first sunrays of the day, the feel of a new journal, making a pretty-looking breakfast for yourself to look at only, being the first person in the gym in the morning, ink stains on your hands after journaling, pretty colour-coordinated study notes, the smell of a new book, seeing your breath in the air on an early morning run, ...

Take photos or short videos of romantic moments in your life When you have collected a number of these, make a collage or a short video to summarise all the memories. Try to look at the finished product through the eyes of a stranger. It's only a snippet of your life, viewed through this romanticised lense.

Move into the new mindset Once you have realised how many beautiful little things your life consists of, try to notice them conciously in your everyday life with or without recording them. Find the beauty and special-ness in the details and moments that pass in the blink of an eye.

At the end, don't forget that sometimes life is ugly and bad things happen and that's okay. If you can't find special moments in some or even most days, that's fine too. Sometimes our mental health just makes us blind to what's positive and some people's lives just aren't that pretty in their current circumstances.

This whole idea is only a mental exercise for more positivity, gratitude and appreciation in your life and is in no way, shape or form mandatory.

Like damn I have no clue if I'm too clingy and it bothers me so much. I don't even understand why the idea of clingy is bad. Like if someone is clingy to you, they wanna be around you and they love you. Why is that bad? You are coveted. All the clingy person wants is to know you are there or you love them. They want to talk with you and hang out because they love being with you and love knowing you are there. Like I get not liking it if its a jealous clingy that causes your partner to not wanna hang out with your friends or divert so much attention to them that you begin to have issues with school, work, or self care but like. . . Clingy in the sense of the partner wants to be around you within set boundaries? Why is that bad?

Everyone needs to up their game bc ain't no way that I'm in the 1% with less than 500 minutes listened to Tokyo Machine.

Shoutouts to the lighting in the scene where Aragorn is explaining what the black riders are. It lives rent free in my head. Like they were popping off so hard.

I would like you all to know that in the Two Towers, when Aragorn is talking to that kid before the battle the kid says he's the son of Hama. Hama is the dude that got mauled by the orc scout's warg. You see his son get torn from his mother's arms and sent to fight a battle. A battle that he's too young for and will likely die in. You see his mother lose her entire family in the span of two or so days. Idk just something I noticed.

💧Help Us Get a Water Tank and Filter So We Can Cook, Bathe, and Wash Our Dishes and Clothes💧

My girlfriend and I live in a squatter camp in Slab City where we have no municipal water, electricity, or gas. We haul water every day from the canal half a mile away in order to have anything to wash ourselves or our dishes. I haven't taken a shower in months and my clothes are filthy.

Please help us buy a water tank and filtration system so that we can haul 300 gallons at once and not have to go every day to retrieve ten gallons at a time.

There's no love on pretty much any site for The Iron Tower Trilogy, so I'm here to bring up the fandom with my bare hands. It's heavily inspired by Lord of the Rings, but honestly I really like it for itself. The plot armor seems to be nearly nonexistent at times which adds to the suspense and has at least me as a reader at the edge of my seat quite often. The characters are also incredibly lovable, as the main characters are halflings known as warrows who tend to be pure of heart and strong willed. A lot of the scenes in the books would work really well for fan art I personally think. All in all, book got potential. Go check it out.
