Lloyd was laying on your bed with you, your legs tangled together as you were reading Yona of the Dawn. 

You look over for the hundredth time at Lloyd, he has been on that same page of Starfairer for almost ten minutes you knew he wasn’t reading.

“Is something on your mind?” you tilt your head at your friend also crush, it’s been a few weeks since you kissed Lloyd’s cheek. It took a while for you to look him in the eyes after the incident, every time you did sneak in glances, you’d see his face pink with blush. 

Seeing that reaction made you comfortable to try and talk to him again, feeling hopeful that Lloyd harbors some type of feelings for you. 

But your mind kept pulling you back finding reasons as to why Lloyd could never like you like that, you guys were just friends!

“Huh? Oh, yea no I’m fine” Lloyd lifts as he looks down at your legs tangled in his.

There it was! that cute blush on his cheeks! 

Lloyd didn’t sound too convincing to your question though...

You hum eyeing him suspiciously, you knew Lloyd for a long time to know when something is upsetting him.

“Really I’m fine, (y/n), what volume is that?” Lloyd changes the subject as he points to your book. “It’s volume eleven of Yona of the Dawn, but this isn’t about my book, if you’re bored, we can do something else.”

You move your legs much to Lloyd’s disappointment. “No no! I wanna hang out with you!” Lloyd covers his mouth embarrassed by his outburst. You giggle, “I didn’t say for us to do our own things, we can just do something else.” 

Lloyd scratches the back of his head as he nods, “oh, oh yea, that sounds like a good idea” Lloyd smiles as you both stand. “You wanna go and see a movie?” You suggest as you both make your way out the door. 

“Hmm, not bad, how about some window shopping? Aren’t you looking for a new jacket?” You gasp, “yea yea! I was! It’s getting colder and I want something big!” Lloyd chuckles and nods. 

“Alright then let’s go to the mall that’s close by, it’s walking distance so we can head out now?” you suggest, Lloyd shoves his hands into his green jacket. “Sounds good, let’s go-“ “wait! Lemme go change, oki?” Lloyd stops and stares at you. “For real? You look fine” Lloyd lifts a brow as you continue back to your room. “I’ll look better with a comb through my hair, and you could use a brushing too~” you sass as Lloyd rolls his eyes brushing his hand through his hair.

“Please, this is iconic~” you both laugh, “fine, just wait here oki?” You lean against the door looking up a Lloyd. The more you look at him the more you feel he’s getting taller than you.

His teasing glint marks your face as you stare back up at him your grin turns to a swooning smile. 

If your eyes could, Lloyd would be seeing hearts in them.

“I gotta change Lloyd..” you trail off looking at his cheek to where you kissed him on, this moment reminding you of the night where you kissed him.

“Yea, just-can I look at you for a little longer?” Lloyd’s voice was quiet, but you heard him. Your heart was beating fast your tummy turned as butterflies floated inside, 

“O-oki..” both your eyes land on each other’s lips.

There was then a shuffle, it was quiet that you didn’t hear. But Lloyd did, it made him jump and look back, that broke you from your trance as your face exploded with red.

“S-sorry!” You slam the door shut in a hurry; your heart felt as though it’ll jump from your chest.

Lloyd stands on the other side, he was so close!

Glaring to his left to the empty hallway he raises a brow. “I thought you guys were supposed to help not be a hindrance” Lloyd grumpily pouts as Kai pops his head out.

“Hah, blame Jay for that one..” Kai points to Jay’s guilty face who comes around the corner followed by Cole and Zane.

“What! Cole pushed me! I lost my balance!” Jay tries to defend himself as the boys shake their heads in disappointment.

“But you were so close to kissy kissy, Lloyd~” Kai smooshes his cheeks to pucker his face making kissing noises. 

Lloyd had to stop himself from blushing, so he didn’t make the teasing a hundred times worst.

For weeks Lloyds brothers have been pushing y’all together, from choosing you two to go on partner missions. To being left alone at home, or tripping both of you up to physical contact.

Lloyd’s heart was on a roller coaster as he felt that he had to look over his shoulders to make sure his brothers weren’t scheming anything.

“I think I’m gonna do this myself, I appreciate your guys’ help, but you guys are too much” Lloyd rolls his eyes as his brother’s mouths hanged.

“Too much?! Might I remind you I was the one who got you two cuddling on the couch!” Kai rebuttals as the rest shush him for being too loud,

“Uh yea, that was after you scared (y/n) into thinking there were ghost! We were watching a horror movie I felt like her nails were digging into my skin like a cat.” Lloyd grimaced as much as he loved the contact the pain was a bit much.

“Okay Okay, what about Jay, when he got you guys that date?”

“You mean when Jay sucked horribly as a waiter?” Lloyd lifts a brow as the boys stare a Jay,

“wh-hat? I thought I could take a bite from their food. I was hungry” the boys groan as Kai continues to defend themselves.

“Zane! Buddy, please tell me you helped!” “I calculated scenarios that would be appropriate for romantical reciprocation of feelings.”

“Uh yea Zane if you lived in the 1950’s. I don’t think you’re up to date on romance stuff.” Lloyd crosses his arms as Kai looks to Cole,

“And before you ask, Cole just shoved me into (y/n)” Kai glowers at him as Cole shrugs. 

“My parents bumped into each other, and now I’m here.” Cole answers as if it helped.

“Thanks guys but I think I got it, (y/n) and I are going to the mall, and maybe see a movie. So, I’m just gonna let things happen.”

“But that’s so boring!” Kai pouts as Lloyd chuckles and walks away from his brothers to wait for you in the gaming room. However you were having your own chat with an unexpected visitor.

As after you closed the door on Lloyd cursing at the universe for taking away your romantic moment that you have only dreamed about. A voice pops from behind you,

“Wow you were not kidding when you said you liked him. There was so much romantic tension I thought you two were gonna suck faces.”

“Ack-Nya!?” you shout flustered at the sudden guest.

“H-how long have you been there?!” you push your back against the door as if trying to sink through as the older women chuckles standing from your bed.

“Long enough for me to feel that I had to hide under the bed, gosh (y/n) you both are like lovesick puppies” Nya walks over to you, noticing your distance she gives a supportive smile.

“Am I wrong for pushing my feeling even though you told me not to?” you couldn’t look at Nya feeling ashamed as if you betrayed her.

“No, its normal to love someone (y/n), I just only told you that because Lloyd was going through a lot at the time.”

You finally look up as Nya places a hand on your shoulder,

“It’s oki to have feelings for him, you guys have known each other since you were kids, I wasn’t surprised when you told me” Nya chuckles again as you blush smiling.

“If you truly love Lloyd, you should confess, I’m sure Lloyd feels the same” Nya winks as she grabs the door handle.

You finally snap out of your thoughts as you look up at Nya again,  “W-wait! How do you know Lloyd likes me?” Nya pauses before she smiles.

“Who knows, I guess you’ll just have to find out~” Nya opens the door walking out to see the boys.

“You knuckleheads suck at advice you know that?” Nya places a hand on her hip as the guys look to Nya surprised at her sudden entrance.

“Woah sis, what are you doing here?”

“Hi, Nya~” Jay swoons making Kai vomit, but he swallows it down to hear Nya.

“Just helping out, unlike you guys.” Nya squints pointing to Kai,

“Lloyd told me about all of your schemes, geez Kai, you’d think with all the girls you talk to you’d finally pick up on something about them” Nya huffs at her older brother as his jaw dropped, 

“You were the one giving Lloyd advise?” Nya rolls her eyes, “duh, I’m the only one with a proper brain around here” she walks away leaving the guys dumbfounded.

“Ugh, sisters” Kai sighs in defeat as he walks to his room, 

“She’s the best~” Jay swoons as Coles grabs his shirt leading him away as Zane follows.

“I should update my knowledge of todays romance from Nya, she seems very wise.”

Cole smiles rolling his eyes at the nindroid, “yea buddy you do that.”

You dressed into a new outfit, Nya was right, if you loved Lloyd you should confess!

But what if it goes wrong? What if you trip?!

No, it’ll go fine, Nya said that Lloyd might feel the same way so what’s the worst that could happen?

“Yea, I’ll confess!” you grab your bag giving one last look in the mirror before leaving.

You scan the hallway as you look for Lloyd,

“Lloyd! Lloyd where are you?” you hum as you walked around.

You hear sliding of doors behind you seeing your sensei,

“Oh, (y/n) what a surprise” sensei Wu walks out cane in hand, most likely meditating in his room.

“Ah, sensei! Have you seen Lloyd? We’re going out and I can’t find him.”

“Hm, I have not seen my nephew, but I wasn’t aware that you two have already confessed. I’m surprised” Wu strokes his beard a smile on his lips as he notices your flustered face. 

“Wha-n-no it’s just as friends it’s not like that!” 

“Oh, just as friends?”

You look back to see Lloyd had entered the hall, “ye-yea, we’re friends Lloyd so it’s obvious we’d go out as just that!” your rambles continue not noticing Lloyds sadden face.

“h-hey what’s wrong?” your rambling stops as you finally catch a sight of Lloyd.

“oop gotta go” the old man hobbles away as you and Lloyd look to each other, until you finally realize. 

“O-oh no Lloyd I didn’t mean it like tha-“

“N-no it’s fine, you’re right we are friends, so let’s go out that way.” Lloyd smiles but you knew it was forced,

“W-wait Lloyd-“ 

“c’mon (y/n) let’s go before the mall gets packed.”

And with that Lloyd left, you weren’t sure why you didn’t just keep talking telling him that you truly didn’t mean what you said. That you saw Lloyd as more than just a friend, but for some reason you kept quiet as you both walk quietly to the mall. Lloyds hands stuffed in his pocket as he looks off in the distance, you can’t help but look at him, did you hurt him? Was he sad because he saw you as more than a friend?

“Lloyd”

“Hey we’re here.”

“Lloyd! Don’t ignore me!” you grab his arm grabbing his attention, you did sound a bit harsh, and Lloyd caught on to that just as fast as you did.

“Lloyd, please talk to me..” your voice now quiet as you lower your hand, “did I hurt you?” Lloyd was still quiet it made you nervous.

“I just, can I have a moment please?” Lloyd looks back at you,

What was happening?

How fast your guy’s mood changed was weird, you slowly let go as Lloyd walks away, “I’ll meet you in the clothing department, oki?” all you could do was nod your head as Lloyd walked away.

Now here you were walking by yourself, this wasn’t going as planned, 

You sigh as you browse around not really paying much attention as your thoughts were on Lloyd.

Was it because I snapped at him? Was I truly that harsh? Your heart spiked in speed with anxiety. Was it my words earlier? Did I ruin my chances with Lloyd?

You think back to every romance drama in your manga, ridiculing every conflict that could have been easily dealt with from the main love interests.

You had to find Lloyd; you can’t let him sit in those feelings if you can help explain what you meant.

You look around taking a random direction as you try and find Lloyd, “L-Lloyd! Lloy-oof” you bump into someone holding your head you quickly apologized.

“Woah, its my lucky day, hey cutie~” you stare confused at the guy that for some reason knew you.

You look up feeling your stomach drop,

It was the guy from the comic shop!

“I see you left your boyfriend huh, realized there’s better?” the guy was talking to a wall as you turn away and start walking ignoring the guy.

“woah woah, wait come bac-“

“Leave me alone!” your voice was firm as you glare at the guy he stopped as you continue walking, feeling victorious you smile.

Until you feel a tight grip on your wrist and slammed against a wall,

Your senses were shaken up as the back of your head harshly hit the wall.

“Who the hell do you think you’re talking to?” his hands gripped your upper arm trapping you under him, the harsh scent of his cologne was the only thing getting to you as his grip got tighter.

“Hey, I’m talking to yo-What?!” the guy looks back at someone tugging on his shirt agitated until he got a face full of fist seeing someone punch him in the face as the guy lands on the floor.

You look down in shock, seeing the guy was knocked out with a broken nose, 

You finally come back to your senses as you look up.

It was Lloyd, he huffed panting mostly from anger as his eyes glowed red. His hair over his eye as he composes himself using one of his hands to push his cowlick back letting it fall out of his face.

He finally looks to you his eyes going soft as he gives you his hand, you take it, and he leads you out to the exit in silence.

When you both got to a secluded spot Lloyd stops and looks at you,

“I’m sorry” he was quiet as he reaches over to touch the back of your head, a tiny bump laid on where you hit your head he glares at the floor.

“Lloyd, I’m so sorry.” You look down as Lloyd’s face softens,

“You don’t have to apologize.”

“But I yelled at you!” your emotions came flooding as your voice cracked, sniffling you continue.

“I like you Lloyd, I really really like you, I hated it when you ignored me, I hated the fact that I made you upset. I’m so so sorry” you hiccup holding yourself in self comfort.

Lloyd was quiet, “I shouldn’t have ignored you I was wrong for that, I didn’t like it when you said that we were just friends, the thought of you with other guys. And only being seen as a friend, just the thought alone…” Lloyd stops himself as he pulls you into his chest, there was the silence again as he held you letting your cry. When you finally calmed down Lloyd grips your shirt, 

“You smell…”

You jump at his sudden unexpected blunt observation,

“wha-“ your voice was soft but he heard you. 

“You smell like him…” Lloyd’s voice was quiet yet gravely making your stomach do flips, his mouth close to you as each warm breath landed on your blushing ears.

Lloyd pulls away as he takes off his green jacket, leaving him in his tight fitted white shirt, he wraps his arms around you pulling the jacket over your form. Almost engulfing you as his jacket surrounded you like a weighted blanket, it was so soft, it smelled just like him. 

Unconsciously you take his sleeve that laid over your hand lifting it to your nose, you take a small sniff letting Lloyd’s scent calm your nerves. You look up at Lloyd, with puffy eyes, tear streaks down your cheeks and a plumped bottom lip from chewing on it. You blush as Lloyd’s own flustered face met yours, 

Dammit, Lloyd really needed to invest in a camera. He looks away his red eyes glowing as he covers his growing smile as his blush got worst, Lloyd enjoyed the way you looked in his hoodie. 

“d-do you like me, Lloyd?” your voice was quiet as you covered you mouth over Lloyd’s sleeve as if trying to stop yourself from embarrassing yourself any further. 

You hear Lloyd chuckle as he gives a toothy smile, looking up you see his dull fangs and blushing face, he looked so handsome you couldn’t help but share the same smile.

“Is that even a question?” You got your answer, but you wanted a little bit more of a confirmation. Your flustered face was evident as you continue to stare at Lloyd,

“Can you say it anyways?” Lloyd chuckles once again,

“I like you (y/n) I love you so much.” Lloyd cups your face in his large hands. You grab his hands and lean up to peck a quick kiss to his lips, Lloyd huffs as he brings you back.

Your lips connect again as your eyes widen seeing a playful glint in Lloyds red eyes before closing them to feel your lips over his.

Your own close after his feeling the world go quiet giving you two your moment together of intimacy,

Soon Lloyd pulls away to inhale a shaky breath watching you catch your breath as well. 

Both your faces were red if it wasn’t already obvious, smiles planted on your faces as you both pull away fully hand in hand walking back to the monastery.

“Did Nya talk to you?” breaking the comfortable silence you grin as Lloyd smiles looking away,

“I got tired of the guys shoving me into you.” Lloyd laughs as you gasp,

“I knew something was wrong with them! Cole never shoves me!” you huff as you recalled past occurrences connecting them back to your brothers.

“Dummies.” You mutter as Lloyd chuckles,

“It was fun though, I can’t lie I liked catching you whenever they would trip you~” Lloyd teased making you roll your eyes, “I bet” you playfully push him. 

Your hands stayed locked together continuing your quiet stroll back home.

You gasp as you stop, “I didn’t buy a jacket!” you try to run back making an escape like last time until Lloyd pulls you back.

He silently points to the jacket already on you as you look down following his finger, “b-but this is your jacket…” you trail as your blush returns.

Lloyd rolls his eyes, “our jacket~” he grins as he wraps his arm around your shoulder pulling you into him as he walks forcing you to already follow.

You smile under him as you wrap your arms around his chest, “I like like you Lloyd” you close your eyes letting Lloyd lead you hearing his chest rumble as he snickers. 

“I like like you too (y/n)~”

⋆˚࿔ Fairy Tale Love 𝜗𝜚˚⋆

You walk around the ball room in your long sparkling gown, the color matching the theme of the room. Music plays along to your slow stride as you look around bored bowing your head to new guests as you continue your way to any type of entertainment.

You were of age to find a suitor and your father was holding a party just for that, much to your disputes it was set in stone. Being the daughter of the Overlord you had to learn to hush and go with your fathers’ schemes, being his only heir as your mother’s unfortunate passing at the age of five you became a puppet on his strings. Too dull to fight against him and his cruel ways, however, you kept your mother’s heart. Being kind to your maids and butlers, showing generous acts to your citizens away from your fathers’ eyes. You enjoyed giving to your subjects promising to the day of your father’s death bed that you would turn this kingdom into your mother’s image. 

You just had to get through each day and not slowly lose your sanity.

You sigh as the fifth guy comes your way grabbing your hand much to your annoyance, “my aren’t you gorgeous~” the man kisses your gloved knuckle as you huff a forced smile. “Thank you that’s very kind of you” the man seemed to enjoy that as he continues to speak much to your displeasure.

“I am prince Shade of the Shadow kingdom it is a pleasure to meet you princess” you hum as you keep up formalities trying to you look for an escape. “Oh yes, the pleasures all mine, now excuse me I have to attend to some things, please enjoy the party!!” you spoke quickly twisting your hand away from him as you rush out.

Prince Shade calls for you, but you keep going, running out and closing the door behind you.

You take a deep breath, the sound of muffled music behind you had you sigh with relief. 

You walk down the dark hallway, large windows being the only light as the moon shines. Your heals clack down the hall as you reach further down towards the garden doors to your quiet place, you open the doors as you slip your shoes off, feeling relaxed as your feet didn’t ache anymore from the uncomfortable shoes. 

You follow the bricked path as you drag your fingers over each flower you passed, feeling its soft petals kiss the tips of your fingers making it to the center of your mother’s garden. Looking up the moon shined so pretty tonight, the glow in your eyes starts to gloss over as you finally felt safe to let out your emotions. 

“I’m surprised to see you out here.” you gasp looking to the voice that broke your safety net, you glare at the guy in front of you.

“Are you lost?” you cock your head getting a good look at the guy, he looked to be your age. You knew every guest coming to your party, but him. You couldn’t place a finger on.

“Are you? There’s a party happening for you in your honor and you’re missing it” you huff, who was this guy, “my affairs are none of your business now, go enjoy the party” you wave him off as you walk out the garden the boy following you. 

“I apologize for offending you… I’m not used to parties” the boy chuckles awkwardly as he scratches the back of his head looking down at you.

“I can tell.” You look away still walking, 

“But you did look bored, I can’t blame you though, no offense but this party is a drag...” the guy looks around at the many paintings for your family, seeing a childhood painting of you and your mother smiling made him smile. 

“Then why are you here?” you questioned, “no choice, was dragged here I’m at the age of marriage and take on my father’s place” the guy shoves his hands in his pocket shrugging seeming a bored at the idea as you. You look at the guy and raise a brow, “what’s your name?” the boy stops and grins, “wouldn’t you like to know~” the boy sticks out his tongue and walks away, you blush at the armature answer. 

“H-hey! Get back here!” you race after the boy as he starts running down the halls away from you laughing, the dress you were wearing was not made for running. But the beat of your heart didn’t want you to stop as the boy turns the corner, you chase after him as you catch him, 

“Ah-hah-mmph?!” the boy grabs you and covers your mouth you look up about to kick him when he points to a guard. You instantly stop as you both remain quiet; they mutter something about being their imagination as they walk away. 

Your back was pinned against the guy’s chest, you were so close that you could hear the racing of his heart. You try and calm the blush in your cheeks as you look down at the hand covering your mouth.

You’ve never been so close to a boy before; it made your stomach do flips and your heart flutter at the same time.

He smelled like pine needles and very small hint of rosemary.

You hear the guy sigh in relief that you both didn’t get caught, but then he starts to laugh, you jump at his playfulness as you push yourself away from his hold. “What is your problem?!” you jab a finger into his chest, he only laughs as he doubles over trying to catch his breath. “s-sorry, but the way you were running, haha-you looked like a toddler, haha!” you blush as you watch the guy continue, “h-hush, running in this is difficult!” you hiss, but after a while his laugh becomes contagious as you laugh along with him recalling how awkwardly you were running.

“Was I truly that bad?” you giggle covering your mouth, “you were hilarious!” the boy and you continue laughing that it hurt you hold on to his shoulder for support as you shake your head.

You finally calm down as you look up to the boy who had his hand out, you stare at it for a moment before placing you gloved hand in his. “The names Lloyd of the dragon kingdom” you pause as Lloyd shakes your hand, “your father is Lord Garmadon, h-he has a son?!” you spoke in disbelief as Lloyd chuckles. 

“Yep, I was kept a secret for protection, but now I’m older and know a few moves and got knights watching my every move. Which is why I walked out from the party” you hum thinking the guard you saw must have been one of Lloyd’s knights. “I understand, the party was too stuffy for me, I was getting an ache in my back every time I had to bow.” Lloyd laughs at your joke as you blush, feeling something fuzzy in your chest liking how Lloyd laughed at your humor. 

“That I can agree on” Lloyd looks for a clearing as he grabs your hand leading you back to the party, “you got good music playing though, would you like to dance?” Lloyd looks back at you waiting for an answer as he still had his hand in yours. Your voice was gone as your lips parted like a fish trying to find the words Lloyd smiles tilting his head as you watched his hair follow.

Before you could answer the doors swing open, to reveal a boy a bit older than you in red armor. “Hey, there you are, you had us chasing you around.” The boy spoke in irritation as Lloyd scratches the back of his head chuckling, “just went to get some air Kai.” 

“yea yea whatever.” Kai looks to you then stands straight not expecting to see the Overlords daughter, “pr-princess.” Kai bows as he takes Lloyd’s wrist forcing him to let go of you as his knight drags him back to his group,

“I’ll see you on the dance floor” Lloyd calls as he was dragged away, you stare back at him as he reunites with his family Garmadon scolding his son for running off as Lloyd just looks anywhere but the old man’s face.

You knew where he got his looks from now, Lloyd follows to your gaze and waves to you getting slugged in the head from his father earning back the boy’s attention as they squabble. You couldn’t help but chuckle as you look to their dynamic you could tell there was love in Lloyd’s life with caring knights and father. You wished for that as well, 

“(y/n).” a deep voice rung through your ears as you jump your father at your side with crossed arms, “I have been searching for you, how dare you waste everyone’s time with your absence.” He snaps as you look down a quiet apology escapes your lips. “Go for the next event and don’t disappear this time or I’ll burn that wretched garden down.” Your father seethed, you look up and frantically nod as you raced to the circle where prince and princesses danced, you took the hand of a guy and begin to dance pushing in and out to each other following the beat of the music he twirls you to the next person as the music continues. 

You look away for a second to see Lloyd twirl a girl in his arms his eyes looking to you with a smile, you blush as you were two people away, the anticipation in your heart made your hands sweat. Before getting to the next person, you take off your gloves feeling them grow damp, the guy seemed to notice as he grimaced making you self-conscious. You try and fit your glove back on, trying to keep on beat. You could feel your fathers’ eyes burn the back of your head making you even more nervous.

Without realizing it you bump into Lloyd’s chest you gasp as he takes your hands, and smiles, you feel your tense body settle.

He twirls you but he doesn’t let you go, making you blush, he brings you closer to his body you felt warm, dare even say safe.

As the song comes to an end you both bow putting a close to the dance. Lloyd looks up as he lifts his body before yours, he brings your bare hand up to his lips and places a quick kiss on to it.

You felt your face and heart explode as you swoon, a smile on your face as you lift your body. 

“Ll-“ 

“Enough!” you jump at your father’s cold voice, he stands from his chair as he stomps your way, Lloyd scowls as he puts you behind him making you even more nervous. His knights were quick though as four of them came in front to protect Lloyd, “Get away from her, your kind isn’t worthy of sharing my heir!” your father points to Lloyd as he just glares at your dad. “she’s not some object, she can make her own choices.” Lloyd rebuttals seeing your father glower made your hands shake.

“This doesn’t concern you boy.” “he’s right Dark Lord, I thought you were looking for a suitor?” Lloyd’s father came in now on common grounds with you father, “not with darkness like you, you’d just take what’s mine” “It wouldn’t be much of a surprise” Lloyd’s father snaps back his red eyes showing a challenging glint similar to Lloyd’s making your father red in the face,

“All of you out, get out before I do something rash, I never want to see you in my presence ever again” your father hissed pointing to Lloyd as the guests flood out the room not in the right of power to challenge your father.

Lloyd was pushed by his knights much to his reluctance staring back at you. you couldn’t help but try to reach for him as your maids come and usher you to your room. Being forbidden by your raging father to have guards on the lookout for any presence of dragon citizens as none were welcomed into the kingdom.

It’s been days since your fathers’ outbursts, sitting in your room you refuse to leave and face him. As he was the reason for another good thing leaving your life, you sit with your legs close to your chest as you look down at your feet. Your maids becoming concern as you refused another plate, you then hear a clack against your railing then a caw of a bird?

Looking up you see a falcon flapping its wings as it had a letter in its talons you jump up to the bird and gently unwrap the letter.

You look at it instantly peeling off the wax to see what was inside, it was from Lloyd! You gasp as you look at the bird seeing that it was still there tilting its head you smile as you read through the letter.

Your smile only grows wider as you push the letter against your chest as if wanting to absorb the words, the bird looks ready to leave until you spoke, 

“w-wait! Can you deliver something for me to prince Lloyd!” you desperately try and find a piece of paper and pen in your desk drawer.

The bird watches you race around getting the proper materials as your write frantically, pausing only to think of what to say next. Once you finished you seal it with wax blowing on it to have it dry a bit faster, “h-here, please make sure this makes it to Lloyd, oki?” the bird flutters its wings as you wave to the bird hoping it a safe flight.

A few days later it returns with another letter, and that’s how communication with you and prince Lloyd went.

Back and forth letters by bird or occasionally from the red knight who would risk his life to deliver letters, you never felt so excited to receive your next letter as you always had one ready to deliver back. 

But what truly made your heart skip was when you saw Lloyd sneak into your room through your balcony, it was once a month visits as you both would catch up or lay on your bed together talking about recent things or let out stressful occurrences.

Each day made you wish for the next, as you slide the box from under your bed and lift the lid to find all of Lloyd’s letters. Reading them each day, telling you how beautiful you are, and how your laugh was the most addicting sound to him, or how he wishes to be next to you every night and hold you.

You never felt so loved.

Lloyd’s father was getting sicker with every passing moment, violent urges raced through his actions and orders,

Cruel punishments stack upon the daily and his subjects trapped in their own capital unable to escape their homes feeling like prisoners under the shadow of lord Garmadon, there once beloved king now a heinous overlord. 

“I can’t take it anymore, lord Garmadon has to be stopped!”

“But we’re powerless under him.”

“We have a duty to protect the hierarchy.”

“My protection ends when my family can’t even leave their house.”

“Enough, you are knights, we can find a way.”

General Wu, now ex as his brother had striped him of that title for his defiance in slaying neighboring kingdoms hushed the knights frantic try for solutions.

“Well do you have anything?” the hot-headed knight knits his brow at his general strokes his beard combing for answers. He hums as if having a thought that might lead to a solution.

“General, what do you have in mind?” the nindroid queries as he tilts his head walking to his mentor.

Wu grabs his cane and walks over to a shelf, moving bottles filled with different herbs and tea leaves to retrieve a map.

“We must leave.” The knights gasp,

“What?”

“For real?”

“But we’ll be leaving our families, our citizens we swore to protect.”

Wu holds up a hand, “I understand that, however knights, we do not have much of a choice, we have a prophecy to protect, if Lloyd stays here any longer, I fear that the influence of his father might corrupt him.” The general unrolls the map and points to a small island, “we will stay here, hidden in the shadows, we will come to help when needed but we use this time to train Lloyd and harness his powers to defeat his father.”

“The fight between good and evil is the only way to eradicate the venom inside my brother and retrieve the king that we once knew.”

“But what about queen Misako, she’ll be all alone.” Cole frowns,

“I can handle myself” the boys turn to the queens sadden but determined face. “General Wu is right; Lloyd and his father are so much alike. I hate to admit it, but evil is coursed through my sons’ veins. But I know there is good in him, please knights, train my son to defeat his father, I want my husband back. The books I have read give me nothing. I fear for the day when I watch the two people that I love so much fight. But I know there is no other way” Misako lowers her head as she pleads for the knights to take on the challenge.

Zane was the first to lower his head, followed by the rest. “We will do our best” Misako smiles to the boys, “Thank you.”

“Then it is settled, we leave tomorrow night gather your things and meet back here.”

“woah woah wait, what about Lloyd, what if he doesn’t want to come?” Jay interjects, Kai looks away, “we’ll just have to force him.” Misako shakes her head, “no, we must convince him, I’m sure he will be willing to” however Kai looks knowing well and good that leading a love struck prince away from his princess will be much harder than it will be.

“It won’t be easy” Kai sighs dragging a hand down his face. “Why do you say that?” Misako squints as if trying to read Kai, “Because your son is in love with the enemy.” …

Lloyd sits on his desk the moon shines on your letter as his own personal lamp, he reads over your words repeatedly. He smiles as he grabs a sheet of paper and pen to write down another letter for you, thinking of ways of how to convince Kai to deliver it to you.

‘knock’ ‘knock’

“Come in” 

Lloyd doesn’t move his eyes away from the paper as he writes from his heart in fear if he stopped, he’d forget what he wanted to say.

“Hey lover boy” it was Kai, Lloyd snorts at him as he got out a sentence before putting the pen down.

“Hello knight of fire, what brings you here?” Lloyd teases formalities as Kai rolls his eyes,

“Can’t I see my favorite prince” Kai sits back on Lloyd’s bed as he looks around the room. This isn’t gonna be easy Kai thought, 

“Hey, y’know things are getting a bit tense in the kingdom, right?” Kai was beating around the bush, trying to find angle that would make the conversation go smoothly.

“Yea, Uncle Wu and my dad aren’t as close as they used to be” Kai hums as he lets the prince continue.

“Dad is…scary now, he doesn’t feel like the same man I used to know, he’s different.”

“It’s the venom Lloyd.” “I know, but still, I fear for my people, and I fear for my kingdom, my father has gotten cruel, and I don’t want my community to fall spell under his wrath.”

“Good, so you’d be willing to do what it takes to help fix it?” 

“Y-yes! Did my mom find something?” Lloyd stands as Kai follows him, “no, your uncle did.”

“That’s great, what is it? Is it an elixir from Mystake? Or a jewel?” Kai shakes his head,

“You’ll have to fight him, Lloyd.” Lloyd looked as though he saw a ghost. “Fight. My. father? N-no I couldn’t I-“ “I know it’s messed up, but this is the only way, your uncle is talking about you in a prophecy, a prophecy that you hold the power to, you just got to unlock it. And once you do you can use that power to save your father” Kai explains slowly so that Lloyd is able to digest the information told to him. 

Lloyd takes a moment, “Alright, when is my training, where is it?” 

“We have to leave, it’s too dangerous to train here, General Wu found an island for us to stay that’s far enough from Garmadon”

“What? But (y/n)!” “Lloyd, it’s your duty to fulfill the prophecy and defeat your father” “but I can’t leave (y/n) she’s too close to my dad, he’ll hurt her!”

“Lloyd, we must, I’m sorry but you’re gonna have to forget about he-“

“Stop talking, Kai.” Lloyd spoke firm as Kai glares at him, “I’m only trying to tell you what’s what, you’re not a child anymore Lloyd, you gotta start acting like a future king.”

“But I’m not so leave me alone.”

“Lloyd!” “Kai I said leave!”

‘knock’ ‘knock’

Both Lloyd and Kai turn to the door, the door cracks open to reveal Wu and Misako,

“Mom, uncle, what are you doing here?” Lloyd was already defensive as he tries his hardest to not turn away to seem disrespectful.

But one word might just set him off.

“Lloyd, come here” his mother spoke so calmly it almost lulled Lloyd and his anger, but he turns his head ignoring his mother,

Misako sighs as she walks over to him. “Lloyd, your father is sick, he needs you. There are times at night where he is in pain. You need to go with your uncle, and you need to train under the knights to get stronger and reveal your true potential.” Misako spoke softly as she drags her soft hand down her son’s cheek, “I know leaving is hard, and leaving the ones you love is harder, but you will see her again. And when you do, you can see her on a brighter day, with her by your side.” Misako smiles at her son as he finally looks her way.

“But she’ll get hurt I can’t leave her; I don’t know what I’d do if I lost her.” Lloyd’s voice was breaking as Kai looks away not wanting to be seen a weak as he hated seeing his friend upset. He wished things were different for him. But Kai knew that this is what he had to do, “I will stay and keep watch of her” Misako smiles as her son looks back. 

“What! Mom no-“ “she is special to you, and I must stay and protect the people” Lloyd closes his eyes as he tries to come to terms with everything.

“We leave tomorrow night Lloyd, you must decide.” General Wu stares down at the floor his cane in hand, Lloyd nods as he stares down at the floor, “we will give you time.” Misako silently ushers the two out of Lloyd’s room leaving him alone with his thoughts. 

Why did he have to leave the only good thing that he felt was going for him?

Did he have to leave you?

Lloyd rushes out his window climbing down the vines as he avoids the guards, getting too good at sneaking out to visit you.

Lloyd reaches to the stables to retrieve his horse, “hey, hey!!” Lloyd hisses for his horse as it sleeps standing up. “Engine! C’mon we’re gonna go see your favorite~” That got his horse to open their eyes Lloyd smiles as he grabs the lead and leaves with him outside the gates and to your kingdom.

You lay sprawled on your bed, your window open as your curtains sway with the wind.

“(y/n)” you jump at attention lifting to find Lloyd sitting on your balcony rail.

“Llyod!” you race up to him grabbing his hand pulling him into your room, “hey princess~” you giggle hugging Lloyd as you nuzzle your nose into his neck.

“What are you doing here? My dad could see you” bringing him in further to your room you make no push to kick Lloyd out as you both lay on your bed. “I don’t care, the whole stone army can bust in here and I’d still lay next to you.” 

You laugh as you move closer to him, you both had started your own secret relationship a week ago having known each other for months since your party you both found yourselves unable to be apart from each other.

“Lloyd, as much as I love your secret visits, I wish we didn’t have to hide.”

“I know princess” Lloyd looks away as you notice his distance, placing a hand on his cheek you tilt your head. 

“What’s wrong?” You felt uneasy, as seeing Lloyd upset made you worry. You force his eyes to look at you, “Lloyd, what’s the matter?” you lean up Lloyd follows you as he grabs your hand lowering it down to his lap.  “I must leave, my father is getting worse by the second, my uncle feels that it is wise for me to train in hiding. I’m leaving tomorrow night.” You felt as though your world came crashing down as you stared at Lloyd unsure of how to respond. “I-I..this is so sudden, why? Isn’t there another way?” you get up from the bed pacing as you try and come up with anything to make Lloyd stay. 

“(y/n)-“

“You can’t go Lloyd, I’ll miss you too much, I already dread having to wait for your messages but now I have to wait for you to return safely to me?” Your voice cracks as you try to keep your voice from getting any higher, but you couldn’t help it.

Why were the gods being so cruel to you?

“I don’t want to leave either… But I have to save my father, I know he’s in there fighting that venom, and if I don’t go and at least try..I know I’ll hate myself forever.” Lloyd looks down defeated unable to see your glossy eyes as you try not to let your tears fall.

“Lloyd-“ you rush over to hug him pulling his body close to yours as if trying to mold yourself inside. “-I don’t want you to leave-“ “then I’ll stay.” “No.” “but (y/n)-“

“A selfish part in me wants you to stay, but the logical side is telling me to push you out and go get ready for your fight, you’re right, you need to save your father. The faster you do it the faster you can come back and marry me” tears run over your smile as you try and hold a strong look to Lloyd you slide your hands down to his. “I know you Lloyd, you’re a good man, with a heart that shines so much light it could brighten this entire region, you will make a strong king because of this, don’t let me hold you back-“

“You could never hold me back!” Lloyd rips his hands from your hold and cups your face you gasp as Lloyd dips down to kiss you, it was your first kiss, your eyes were wide as your hands were stunned unsure of where to put them.

But your body soon melts as you hum with content, wrapping your arms around Lloyd’s neck and closing your eyes deepening the kiss as you tilt your head.

Lloyd let’s go gasping for air along with you as you stare each other.

“You will never be my burden, you are the reason why I want to do this, to come back to you on a brighter day and make you, my queen. When I stop my father, I want to be by your side picking out a pretty dress and seeing you walk down the aisle” Tears come flowing down again as you try your best to keep your smile up. 

“oki, then you better come back soon, if not I’m coming for you and I’m gonna to make you marry me during your training” Lloyd laughs with you as he holds you tight. 

“It’s a promise then.”

You nod, “yes, promise me under this moon that we are under, make sure the gods can here you so they can mark the date of your arrival and marriage day.” You were firm as if in the same room with those said gods with pen and paper forcing them to sign.

Lloyd grins as he kisses you again taking your breath away,

“I promise to the moon and gods, and my soon to be bride that I will come back to marry you. I will fight my grandfather just to have the moment with you.” You giggle softly as you both sway unable to part away from each other, 

“Lloyd, I don’t wanna let go” you whisper, you felt as if you spoke any louder you truly wouldn’t let go. 

“Then don’t, keep holding me, let me stay with you tonight” you smile into his neck, “but if you do, I might do something embarrassing” you blush as you hold tightly to Lloyd’s shirt. Your heart picking up speed as Lloyd moves his hands down picking you up and placing you on your bed.

His arms trap you underneath him as he smiles down at your blushing face, “we’ll just cuddle then” Lloyd lowers his head down as he kisses your forehead, trailing down to your cheek and landing on your lips. You straddle his waist and your arms wrapped around his neck. You hum as Lloyd lifts away and goes down to your neck, you felt as though the world was spinning. As Lloyd traces his teeth down your neck, he stops at a place that made a shiver run down your spine, “that night I met you at the party, I knew you were the one. Seeing you surrounded by flowers and the moon shining down on your face I had to make you mine.” His voice was gravely as he rambles on with praises running down his tongue and onto your neck as he slides his muscle up your collar bone.

You hum turning your head up to give him more room, “Lloyd…” you whisper his name making Lloyd shutter over top of you.

“Don’t do that princess, or I might not be able to stop.” The way you said his name was new, the passion that dripped from your voice onto his name made Lloyd’s heart spike.

Lloyd finally nips down on your neck making you squeak as you hold onto his shoulders, it was a dull pain but the sensitive spot on your neck tickled as Lloyd’s teeth nipped down on you. 

You gasp as a shudder leaves your mouth biting your bottom lip as Lloyd drags his hands up and down your body. You feel him suck on the spot as a high pitch whine tries to escape your closed mouth, when Lloyd was satisfied, he let’s go. His bright red eyes stare down at you, your chest rising, up and down bright red cheeks and a nervous smile plays on your lips as you finally look up at Lloyd.

You try and hide it behind your arm, but Lloyd grabs it and pins it above your head, “uh-uh, lemme look at you princess, I gotta burn this image into my head if I can’t do this to you tomorrow.” You whine as a small laugh escapes you, “You’re so…dumb” laughing as Lloyd laughs along with you. “You can’t blame me when you look so pretty under this moon… under me~” Lloyd leans down to kiss your cheek smooshing your face into your pillow giggling at his affection.

Opening your eyes again you try not to let the bad emotion cloud your good time with your lover, “I can’t stop thinking about you leaving. I wish things were different” your voice was quiet as Lloyd lays on top of you, your fingers run through his blond hair, 

“I know love, I know.” That was all he could say as he closes his eyes, 

you close your own not able to sleep you continue dragging your fingers down Lloyd’s scalp lulling him to sleep.

Thinking back on the promise he made to you and the love bite he gave you; you try your best to swallow down the lump in your throat as you let Lloyd sleep.

But your thoughts prayed for this to be a dream, for you to wake up with another letter being delivered to you by Kai from Lloyd.

However, the next morning Lloyd was gone but your bite stayed, huddling your knees close to your body to sob quietly as you hold on to the promise that Lloyd made to you under the moon and to the gods above.

Racing around every room was not how you wanted to spend your free day, turning each room you entered upside down in a desperate search,

“Where is it!?” you frantically flip over the gaming rooms couch haphazardly. “Woah (y/n)? what’s wrong?” Lloyd follows your frantic movements as you pass him, 

He stares at you as you finally pause debating your next move as you swivel your head left from right. “Are you looking for something?” Lloyd peaks his head over your shoulder looking down to try and make sense of your change in behavior. 

Your hands grow clammy as you rub your index and thumb together, a soft whine leaves your closed mouth, brows arching upward with concern. 

Lloyd has honestly never seen you like this, “do you want me to ge-“ before Lloyd could finish you gasp racing outside in a hurry. Using this time to answer his own question Lloyd goes to retrieve your boyfriend in hopes of calming you down.

“N-no Riyu, please let it go!” you were involuntarily playing tug-o-war with your comfort doll. With building anxiety, you give in partially to Riyus tug after hearing fearful rips.

“P-please Riyu this is not a toy!” tears begin to bubble as the baby dragon shakes his head playfully, much like a puppy. He was slow to making the connection of the sentimental value of the toy. 

The display brought many eyes as Lloyd comes out with Kai, at sudden realization Kai sucks in air through his teeth cringing at a predicted site.

“oh shi-"

Errip-

You fall back on your butt with an oof, the torn half of your stuffed doll in hand the other on the ground now forgotten by the dragon who pranced over to Arin. It takes a moment for you to process what had happened, to the others it was like waiting for the jump scare in a horror movie. All were at the edge of their seats for what would happen.

Coming to action you jump up and quickly grab the other end of your toy and raced back inside pushing aside anybody that was in the way,

“What’s wrong with (y/n)?” Sora picks up Riyu tilting her head as Arin looked concerned as well. Kai makes no effort in explaining as he runs after you, Jay rubs the back of his head anxiously as he ponders on how to explain your dilemma. “Well, that doll Riyu had is important to (y/n), she’s had it for years...” Jay looks to where you ran off as Cole nods, “I always seen it in her room she’s so protective of it” Cole crosses his arms as Zane even agrees. “I have recalled her once saying that it was special to her, however I do not understand how an object could hold so much sentimental value.” Zane tilts his head as he ponders. Sora shakes her head, “no way I completely get it! Poor (y/n) I feel horrible..” Arin looks down guiltily as well, “I should’ve been watching Riyu..” Lloyd shakes his head, “what’s done is done, I’m sure (y/n) will be oki.. Kai will make sure of it” Lloyd walks over to pat Sora and Arin on the head a small comfort.

Kai walks over to your door hearing objects being harshly knocked down, you were looking for something again. Opening the door, he finds you with a box, it was old and had a few holes, it was an old sewing kit that master Wu gave you way back to when you first joined the ninjas, your hands shake as you search around for what he can assume a needle and thread. “(y/n)..” Kai’s voice was drowned by the jostling of items being moved in the box as you lift your hands to a needle and very small piece of thread. Not enough to fix your doll, 

Kai’s mouth shifts as he watches you try and shakily push the thread through the eye of the needle, however as one would guess it wouldn’t be easy with the state that you’re in. 

“(y/n)..- (y/n) that’s not gonna work” Kai walks over to take the needle and thread, as if he had threatened you Kai catches the meanest glare from you. “Don’t touch me.” Your words were sharp almost cutting Kai, he knew how you could get with this doll, but it never got this bad…

“(y/n), just lemme help you..” Kai goes to try and take your hand in a way to calm you down, “I don’t need your help, just leave me alone” you rise to your feet storming out of your room with your broken doll passing concerned faces you leave.

Tears fell down your face as you hiccupped hiding your face in your sleeves you turn into a old building, it was deserted of customers grabbing materials you needed you place onto the counter startling the cashier with your sudden appearance.

“Is (y/n) still not back?” master Wu sits with the cup of tea in his hands as Kai paces running his hands through his spiked hair, “no, she completely stormed out.. and it’s been hours now” Kai slumps on the couch defeated. “She totally freaked out, I shouldn’t have reached to her so suddenly I know how she gets with that doll” “it’s important to her” “I know, but doesn’t she know she has me?” “Does she?” the back and forth between the young adult and the old man came to a stop as Kai leans his head back against the couch. 

Kai has always been there supporting you, however that doll had always seemed closer, it was dumb of him to admit but at times he was jealous of how much more it seemed you cared about the doll than your own boyfriend.

Of course this was all in his head, you have always been affectionate with him, however not as much open. For years it seemed as though you struggled to talk about your feelings, instead you had the routine of shutting yourself in your room hugging your doll close to your body. Instead of confronting you, Kai seemed to let you wallow, assuming it was the way of how you cope not wanting to step over boundaries.

Kai sighs as he leans up standing off the couch and grabbing his jacket, sensei opened his eye peaking at the man who was leaving to find you. 

Your hair was soaked from rainwater your clothes no different as you walked inside, a bag of sewing supplies in your hands as you looked defeated and tired. 

(Y/n) had just walked through the door before I could walk out to find her, she was completely drenched “(y/n)..” Kai calls to her with worry as he grabs her hand, (y/n) could feel his hand slowly start to warm hers. Wanting to say so much Kai said nothing in the moment of both of you finally coming back together, so he said the only thing that made sense to the moment, 

“Hey, let’s get you warm and outta’ those clothes”

A fuzzy towel laid on your head with fresh pair of pajamas, sitting beside Kai in silence. Your outburst was the only thing on your mind, your hands in your lap as your stare down at the floor hearing Kai hum as he sews your doll back together. Guilty wasn’t appropriate to describe how you felt, ashamed maybe.. embarrassed. Sorry didn’t feel enough for Kai. But what else could you say..

“K-“

“(y/-“

You both stop as you stare at each other, “s-sorry, you go.” Kai fiddles with the string as he directs his attention to you, “Kai, I’m so sorry for yelling at you, you didn’t deserve that. I got so scared of losing this doll that I let my emotions get the better of me..” you look to Kai before falling your gaze to the floor again.

“No, this is important to you, (y/n)”

“But you’re more important than that silly doll!” the desperation in your voice brought a new mood in the atmosphere. “that doll, I had it for so long, it’s been with me through a lot of tough times.. sometimes it felt like the only thing.” You stare down at the doll before continuing, “I always seemed to lose the people important to me. That doll was the thing that stayed..” Kai looks down at the doll rubbing its stitched body with his thumb.

“When I joined you guys, I found a new family, and when we started dating… I began to worry more, what if I lose you.. The more people a meet and care about the more I feel I might lose them.” The lump in your thrust seemed to refuse to move no matter how much you tried and swallow it down, “the closer we got the more scared I became.. These missions aren’t getting easier, they never are, so seeing you get in trouble kinda makes me revert to the one thing I know I can’t lose. But after today, I know that losing anything and everything possible..”

You take a breath as you sat everything on the table, your heart on your sleeve. You never been so vulnerable, but you knew Kai deserved to know what was on your mind, your grip tightened feeling your nails pierce the skin of your palm as you wait anxiously for anything.

Kai places your doll in your lap now fixed, looking up Kai smiles, “(y/n), thank you for telling me what’s been on your mind.. I want you to know, I’m your boyfriend I want you to share everything that you’re feeling so that I can help you, even if I can’t.. I don’t want you to feel like you’re handling this on your own.”

“But you’re right, anything can happen to me, but that will never stop me from being by your side. Even when it feels like I’m not I’ll find a way to hold you as if I were.” Kai tilts his head catching a glimpse of tears bubbling in your eyes, he chuckles as he pats your head rubbing it affectionately before pulling you into his chest. “I love you, (y/n), nothings gonna stop me from loving you,” Kai chuckles as he rubs your back, “sorry to say but your stuck with me, from this life and the next..” hearing you giggles muffled into his jacket Kai’s smile widens. “I want you to talk to me and lean on me, (y/n) that’s what I’m here for, oki?” Kai turns his view to the back of your head as you nod, “oki, I love you Kai..” you sniffle as your grip tightens on his jacket as if he would slip away from you.

“No need to hold on so tight babe, ‘m not going anywhere.” Kai rubs your back as you shift your body closer into his, your breathing turns even as you let out one last shaky breath. Pushing your body forward with your knees you lay on top of Kai whose head meets your pillow. He grins as he runs his hand a top of your head, quiet snores leave your slightly open mouth as Kai watches your body rise and fall.

Looking down Kai finds your doll on the floor, every night it would be him, you, and your comfort doll. But tonight, it was you and him,

Comic lover! Lloyd invites shoujo lover! (y/n) to Doomsday Comix to read the next volume of the new Starfairer comics. 

You go for the new releases of romance manga; you both happily sit together in the aisles as you read quietly enjoying the silent company that you both desperately needed from the countless missions you both are called on. 

Lloyd doesn’t mind your different interests; he likes how you ask if you could read with him. He was happy at how open you were to other genres of reading; in return he’d read any recommendations that you give him.

Your overly imaginative mind would dance with scenarios of you and Lloyd experiencing half of the love stories you read. Those moments when you are alone, you’d play lovecore music on your radio just to enhance your scenarios as you read along the panels imagining you and him together.

You knew you liked Lloyd when you were younger, when you both grew up from the Tomorrow’s Tea your love for him only grew. 

But you put your feelings on hold so that Lloyd can focus on his prophecy, you knew he was dealing with a lot so confessing might not be the best of idea. Advised by Nya who you told your feelings to when it got to be too much to hold in. 

So, you two remain friends as you hide your feelings, you slide your fingers along the spine of the pastel-colored books choosing one last book before leaving back to the Monastery for dinner.

You gasp as you take a book from the shelf flipping it to its back as you hold in a squeal, Sailor V volume 2!! Finding it in shops was hell, you were starting to cave in to buying it online. 

Your smile grows as you move your head to try and find Lloyd to share your excitement, moving from the romance aisle to find the blond. Finding him in the Starfairer section not having moved from his spot as he had a new issue in his hand. 

You happily skip over to him until you feel a hand on your wrist, you jump in shock as you turn around to see a guy your age. You don’t hide your cringe as you huff, it was happening again,

Since your change you’ve noticed how guys would at times come up to you and compliment your looks, it was harmless at first, even making you flustered.  But then it started getting a bit much, some of the flirting turning inappropriate. Pushing for a date even after clear refusal, you bring this up to Nya, who says it’s unfortunately normal for some girls your age to get hit on. She says it’s nothing to worry about when it is harmless giving the advice of saying “thank you” and move on, she then informs of when it isn’t giving advice on what to do.

However, as it keeps happening you find it harder to speak up for yourself, ironic how you can take on armies of serpentine. Come face to face with the Great Devourer, and Lord Garmadon, ghosts a genie and countless other enemies but you can’t tell a powerless guy to buzz off. 

“Hey girl, I just wanted to say how cute you are~” his hand kept on your wrist as you shift your weight to your other foot as you try slipping your hand away. You put on a polite smile, “oh, thanks, I appreciate that” the guy’s hand was still on you.

“Woah there, what’s the rush, pretty girl. Lemme keep looking at you~” you hum in annoyance as you gave a face of wanting him to go, “uhm, n-no thanks, I’m busy right now” you spoke quickly as your stomach starts to knot and hands start to shake. 

The guy in front pay’s no mind as he tries to pull you closer, “c’mon babe, how about this? You come with me, and I show you a good time if you catch my drift~” he winks as you cringe, the guy starts walking with you as you look back to find Lloyd gone.

You start freaking out as you try planting your feet to the ground however his grip tightens, “c’mon, don’t embarrass me you-“ “I think you already accomplished that on your own.” You look over to see Lloyd beside you with his arms crossed his brows connected in a scowl.

The guy in front of you scoffs as his grip tightens hurting you, “dude, back off I called dibs” wow, this guy is a piece of work.

“Excuse me?” Lloyd leans into him as his glare turns threatening, his red eyes shining as he squints at the guy daring him to say it again. 

Okay now it’s time to think of something, you desperately look for something, anything to help you out of the situation. Catching a glimpse of the romance section you thought of an idea from a cover of a book, you act fast as you rip from the guy’s grip.

Lloyd’s shocked expression was evident as you shoved your form into his, wrapping your arms around his torso in a possessive manner blush on your cheeks as you glare at the guy. 

You swallow hard as you commit to the role that you decided to play finally speaking, “h-he’s, my boyfriend! And we’re onna date!” your voice squeaks as the patrons from the shop looks your way embarrassing you even more.

The guy seemed to feel the same way as he looks to the people’s eyes, shoving his hands in his pocket he kicks the ground in frustration, “whatever, you’re annoying anyways, hope you enjoy each other” he rolls his eyes as he shoves his way from the crowd.

Both you and Lloyd stare at the door that the guy walked out from, the crowd soon dispersed as you look to each other. Your faces pink as you look away finally letting go and looking down at the floor, 

“s-sorry-“

“D-don’t worr-“ you both jump at Lloyd’s phone ringing. He struggles to get it out of his pocket, almost dropping it, 

You start moving your foot on the carpet as you awkwardly wait for Lloyd to finish up his phone call, you hear a button assuming he had hung up as you look to Lloyd. “That was Zane saying, dinner was ready, we better head back” Lloyd smiles as you follow him out the door.

There was silence for a couple of blocks before Lloyd breaks it, “so, what was that about?” You look down at your hands as you begin to feel on edge again, “it was nothing, just some guy” you answer as he continues. “Did you know him?” You gave Lloyd an unamused look making him chuckle, “that answers it then.”

You sigh as you two keep walking, “I know none of the guys that walk up to me, yet they seemed to think they do when they call me all these names and try to ask me onna date.” You cross your arms in a huff,

“Woah, wait-what?” Lloyd looks to you flabbergasted having not known that this was a regular thing for you. It made you cringe as you hadn’t meant to say all that, not wanting to worry Lloyd or your brothers you kept this secret. Only confiding in Nya to get some girl advice,

But now Lloyd knows, and he didn’t look happy, “why didn’t you tell us, me?” he looks to your ashamed face trying to make yourself smaller to avoid the conversation.

“I told Nya” you mumble, you knew he could hear you as Lloyd sighs, he looked like a disappointed parent, “I’m sorry” you look away unable to face him as Lloyd looks to you feeling bad for making you feel like you had a apologize to him.

Placing a hand on your head as he glides his hand through your hair affectionately, “you don’t have to apologize, (y/n), especially for this.” Tears start to collect as you hug Lloyd, he pauses for a moment as his heart spikes, he soon shoves his feelings down and hugs you back rubbing your back. 

Lloyd smiles as you look up to him feeling better, you pull away, but your hands stay connected noticing you gush silently. “That was good thinking, telling him I was your boyfriend” Lloyd grins as you blush, likely teasing you bringing back his playful nature. “Whaat? I was rushing to think of something!” you playfully whine as you shove him with your shoulder. 

“No, it was good, the guy really bought it” Lloyd smiles as you smile as well with him, you look to the building to your side as your smile drops. “I was so nervous, I thought you were going to fight him” “I was” Lloyd responds quickly with zero hesitation as you look at him with a shocked expression. 

“Lloyd!” You scold him as Lloyd rolls his eyes, “he totally deserves it anyways, he was a jerk” you huff, “your stronger than him he’s just some guy, what if it went bad and you got in trouble?” you reason with him, you’d feel devastated if Lloyd got in trouble for protecting you.

Lloyd huffs stubbornly as he looks to you, “I don’t care, he hurt you, (y/n)” he points to your wrist a red mark slowly making its way on your body. Not enough to bruise but you knew you would feel it tomorrow. “Still Lloyd, you’re a hero, don’t get in trouble for my sake.” Lloyd looked offended, “don’t talk like you don’t matter (y/n), I will always defend you because your worth the trouble, you’re not just someone you’re my friend.”

The ’friend’ stung you but you appreciated his words feeling Lloyd’s grip tighten it was comforting unlike the guy that grabbed you, “so yea, (y/n), when I see you in trouble or someone talk bad about you, ‘m gonna do everything in my power to protect you.” 

Lloyd stops as you do the same forcing you to look at him, he had a smile as he cups your cheek, something new that made your heart flutter. “You understand?” you stare at him as you swallow hard finding the words, “yea, I do.” You smile as he mirrors yours.

He continues walking with you until you stop making him raise a brow, you then start running in the opposite direction, “Hey! Where are you going?!” Lloyd calls as you look behind still running. “I’ll meet you at home, oki? Save me a plate!” you wink as you continue your track. 

Lloyd stares as you soon leave from his field of vision, his face contorts into confusion at your crypted sentence. He sighs, an amused smile on his face as he starts his walk again fueled by hunger to question you anymore.

Lloyd soon arrives telling the others of your disappearance saying that you’ll be back. That was enough to get the rest to eat as Lloyd makes your plate along with his own.

You arrive a little later as you huffed inside sweating stopping to your room before coming to the table to eat. “fwhere fwr you?” Kai asks as he shovels food in his mouth, “eat more talk less, Kai” Nya rolls her eyes as she takes another bite. 

You giggle as you go to take your regular seat next to Lloyd, he looks to you with food in his mouth as he slides you a plate covered in plastic wrap. You gasp excitedly as you clap your hands unwrapping the plate happily, it was still warm.

“Thank you, Lloyd~” you ruffle his hair as he looks at you, much like when he looks to his mom when she displays affection to him, embarrassed. Everyone chuckles at you display of affection as you start to eat thanking Zane for the food.

“So, where were you?” Lloyd asks having finished the food in his mouth, looking to you the rest wondering as well as you were never late for any meals. Especially made by Zane. Even master Wu looked curiously as he peaked an eye open.

You look away, “oh y’know, just wanted to get something before they ran out in stock~” you wave off the questions as Kai laughs, “probably one of your cute kawaii, Tokyo Mew Mew books” Kai teases as he stuffs food into his mouth much to Nya’s disgust. You gasp offended as you point your chop sticks at Kai, “take that back you hair gel abuser!” you defended your love as master Wu looks to you, “(y/n), chopsticks” you suddenly remember with an oh as you place them down. Kai’s shocked expression at your insult made you laugh, “that’s all you read (y/n), you should broaden your horizon” Kai wags a finger playfully as you snicker, “oh hoho, you mean like your ecchi~” you grinned like a cat blushing as you had the unfortunate encounter of his stash under his bed when you were little.

The table erupts with laughter as Kai’s face turns red, “wh-who told you about that?!” Kai shouts as you laugh harder it was starting to hurt your back. Kai chuckles threateningly taking advantage of your distracted form as his hand mushes the food on his plate.

“Haha, Kai-yo-Ack!!” You instantly fall back as mush from Kai’s plate lands on your face. “That’s it, you perv!” you grin as you grab your own throwing it at him causing the entire table to throw food at each other thanks to a chain reaction. 

Zane sighs as he smiles, master Wu had left a little bit ago quietly, the giggles kept coming as you guys continue to goof off.

Later that night you finished cleaning the kitchen with Kai, masters’ orders, when you both finished you stuck your tongues out at each other before going your separate ways. 

You stop at your room walking over to your desk to switch on your desk lamp.  looking to your chair you grab a bag that rested on the back of it, you open it and pulled out a Starfairer issue that you saw Lloyd reading. You wanted to give it to him as a gift for saving you today, as you knew he probably didn’t get to finish it. 

“Hey” you jump at a voice behind you turning quickly to see Lloyd at your door, a tight fitted black shirt and green plaid pajama pants, oh my goodness that shirt was not helping subdue your feelings for Lloyd at all. Seeing his muscle protrude from inside the shirt, 

“Oh, hey” was all you could say in the moment as you tear your eyes away from his form. You smile as you hide the comic behind you. The lamp light on your desk wasn’t enough to light up the entire room, but it was enough to see your blushing face.

Lloyd smiles as he walks over his back leaning against your desk with his hands holding him up the muscles on his arms showing clear veins run up his forarms.

Forgive me FSM for staring. You force yourself to look away as you chuckle, “uhm, I wanna thank you for helping me today.” You smile as you finally face him, Lloyd held a confused look his smile stays strong, “you don’t have to thank me, I’ll continue to help you out no matter what” you look down bathing in his words as your cheeks turned pink. 

You knew how oblivious Lloyd was of your feeling, however, every time he spoke to you with such care you can’t help but feel like,

Does he only view you as a friend?

You contemplate for a second before shaking your head, no, you had to keep your promise. When everything calms down, then you will tell him your feelings.

But when will that time be? How long can you conceal your feelings?

You look up to find Lloyd had gotten closer to you, you squeak as you took a step back his hand on your forehead. “Are you okay? Your face is red?” you squeak as back away completely flustered. 

“N-no, I-I’m fine really!” your voice squeaks higher as you force your hands in front with the comic in hand, “th-this is for you! I know you didn’t finish it so I bought it so you could!” you look down unable to face him too embarrassed that he’ll see your face.

“Aw, (y/n), thanks! You’re right, I didn’t get to finish it!” Lloyd smiles as he takes the comic completely dismissing your nervous exterior. You hum as he takes your gift, still looking anywhere but him. You fiddle with the ends of your shirt as Lloyd looks at the cover with excitement. 

“W-well, it’s been one busy day, so I should go to bed, see ya on the training mat tomorrow!” you start pushing him out as Lloyd looks back confused. “What, but it’s only 7:30?” Lloyd looks to your digital clock not moving his feet as you huffed, “well y’know Lloyd, early bird gets the worm~” you wink as you finally got him on the other side of the door. Before you could close it though something came into your mind as you look to Lloyd’s confused face.

You lean over and kiss his cheek; it was quick and looked more like a greeting cheek kiss if anything. But your actions made your face explode and seeing that Lloyd’s did the same made you smile like crazy. 

“Yelp! S-see you tomorrow!” and with that you shove the door closed. 

You stand on the other side in a starfish position blocking the door, why did you do that? You place your hand on your lips as you thought about Lloyd’s expression, the accusing thoughts moved to the back of your mind as you started hopping around your room fangirling at your sudden courage and Lloyd’s cute face. 

You fall onto your bed as your heart pounded, it felt like it was dancing along with you. You never felt so happy, as you wiggle in your bed rolling around. You finally rest as your legs were the only thing moving as you swung them back and forth. You were so happy.

Lloyd walks into the gaming room where he could hear curses and his brothers argue with each other, “left hook, LEFT HOOK!” Jay shouts as Lloyd sees him swing the controls in both hands. Cole laughs as he kept his composure, he leaned forward his elbows on his knees.

Kai was the one to notice Lloyd as he silently waves him over, “what’s up” he asks as Lloyd sits next to him. “I-I think, I like someone.” Lloyd finally spoke as he places his hand on his cheek feeling the ghost kiss you left him.

Kai’s jaw drops as Cole pauses the game making Jay groan likely not hearing Lloyd, “woah what, y’gotta crush?!” Cole smiles as Jay snaps his head over his attention finally caught, “for real! Who?” Jay smiles as well leaning over Cole.

Lloyd blushes as he scratches the back of his neck, “(y/n).” the boys gasp as they excitedly look to one another, Cole and Jay then put their hands out in front of Kai making a beckoning motion as Kai scoffs fishing in his pocket pulling two fives. 

“Wha- you betted on that?!” Lloyd looked dumbfounded as Kai rolls his eyes, “yea, and I lost” Kai then waves them off as he continues with Lloyd. “So, how’d it happen, when did you realize?”

“Are you gonna confess?” Jay chimes in as Kai nods his head quickly. Cole just sat as he listened in as well.

“What are you all talking about?” Zane pops into the room as Lloyd thanks the first spinjitsu master for his interruption, “noth-“ “Lloyd hasa crush on (y/n)!” Jay shouts as the rest shush him harshly. 

“Look I’ll tell you just, don’t be weird” Lloyd huffs as they nod their heads, huddling up together like kids ready to hear their grandfathers’ stories. 

After Lloyd explains, the guy’s smile, “aww, that’s so cute” Jay gushes as Kai pats Lloyd’s shoulder. “It’s alright Lloyd you got, four amazing wingmen to help you~” Kai smirks as the boy’s chuckle nodding. “Yea, we’re here to help you man” Cole shrugs as he agrees with Kai.

Lloyd blushes as he looks away, “thanks guys, but don’t do anything dumb” Lloyd threatens as he points his index at them. 

Lloyd had feelings for you since you two were kids, being stubborn he’d always run away from you. Screaming he hated you because you were a girl. As he got to know you more when he joined the team, he started to like you, as you were always with him playing games with him and training alongside him.

After the Tomorrow’s tea incident his feelings grew for you, as he would invite you to come with him on book hunts. Saying it was a benefit for you to get new manga and for him to get the next issue.

But he knew what he wanted, Lloyd just wanted to be close to you, sharing your common interests in reading and have none stop discussions about plots that had you both excited for the next volume or issue. But now his brothers were involved as they talked amongst themselves of how to push you two together. 

He didn't want to loose you as a friend.

But he can't stand just seeing you as a friend, he wants more.

Lloyd sighs as he looks to the guys with a defeated look a smile then finds his lips as he once again presses a hand on his cheek of where you kissed him. Staring at the comic you gifted him for saving you. 

He hoped that getting his brothers involved won’t be a bad idea. Because he really likes you.

Boyfriend? He liked it when you called him your boyfriend….

Okii so I always liked the idea of reader being in love with Lloyd,٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و being a romantic and having interest in shoujo manga while he likes old school comics. I thought it was a cute dynamic and how they would talk to each other. Bcs oml Lloyd is a talker and I think their conversations would be so cute as they would geek out together. ૮⸝⸝> ̫ <⸝⸝ ა But when I wrote it I didn't like how short it was so I added a shortishhh protective plot in the beginning.... idk if I like iiit but maybe someone can give me advice idk haha...✿ But I hope you guys like it bcs I really like the concept maybe I'll revisit it for my scenarios.ᯓᡣ𐭩

- “Damn it Golden shut the hell up!”

There they go again, you roll your eyes expecting at least one of the dorks in the party room to freak out, you can hear Bonnie yell at the golden bear who was most likely irritating the purple rabbit.

Placing your tools into your bin and closing the top right after, it was labeled "Mechanic" on the top in sharpie on brown masking tape. Being a mechanic did not mean fixing the emotional stress on the living animatronics, but being their friend did. At least in your book, taking a deep breath you turn your heel as the door busts wide open.

heavy breathing from Chica can be heard as she looks up finally catching her breath,

- “oh honey, I’m so glad your here!”

Her country accent evident in her voice as she points down the hall,

- “Bonnie is having a total freak out out there! Now I know it’s outta your pay but could yo-“

you giggle smiling at the chubby girl,

- “yes Chica, I was actually about to head out now”

Just as you were about to take a step out of the room a loud crash could be heard from the party room. Curses from both Bonnie and Freddy could be heard mainly Freddy telling Bonnie to calm down, only those weren’t the only words he used. Soon laughter erupted from Goldens mouth…his laughs always unsettled you.

- “I-I guess now is a good time as ever”

Chica chuckles her shoulders bouncing, nodding you follow her out adjusting your shirt and self for the mess that you’ll see. As soon as you made out to the party room you saw the main party table was flipped over and party hats were scattered everywhere. Freddy had a hand over his face as if collecting himself, a look all too familiar when he was trying to reign in his anger. You were guessing it didn’t help that Golden was on the floor legs in the air laughing his ass off, his laughter was the only thing in the room as it echoed almost mockingly.

- “Now Golden, you get on now! Haven’t you caused enough trouble!”

Chica yells lifting her sleeves up marching over to the troublemaker. Glaring down placing her hands on her hips her face had a sour look, much like a mother about to scold their oldest.

- “Golden, what the hell did you do to Bonnie?”

Keeping your distance as the bear looks up to Chica having a staring match which looked as if Golden was winning, Golden scoffs rolling his eyes as he stands up.

- “Geez, he's so sensitive can’t even take a simple joke-”

- “all you do is make jokes”

Freddy's southern accent chimed in as he glared at Golden who only rolled his eyes once again,

- “this is the third time that Bonnie has hada damn fit like this”

Freddy was right, whatever Golden was saying to Bonnie has been taking a toll on the place it had gotten so bad that you’ve heard that they might turn Bonnie off.

- “all these damages that is comin’ from his tantrums are from you. And all you been doin is makin’ it worst!”

The room was quiet, Freddy was always good at bringing attention to his friends and helping them take responsibility.

- “bite me”

And Golden was the one that did not care for them as you did. He looked away as he teleports off somewhere, Freddy grunts as he loosens his tie taking off his hat as he sits on the party chair,

- “oh Fred, you tried”

Chica smiles as she comes over behind Freddy massaging his shoulders.

- “hey Freddy, I can try and talk to Bonnie! Maybe if I can figure out why Golden is picking on him then maybe he’ll have less outbursts!”

You offer Freddy as there was another silence,

- “sure (Y/N), give it a shot”

Freddy finally lifts his head up as he smiles at you, nodding you take your leave to the the side of the stage where a door was, grabbing your keys you unlock the door to find other doors. To the side was Bonnie’s room as you’ve been shown it by him many times before. Taking a deep breath before knocking you prepare yourself for whatever Bonnie could throw at you. Your knocks were soft as you heard a muffle "come in", turning the knob you walk in.

He was sitting with his head propped on his knees as he sulked, his ears flopped down with defeat as he stared at the wall. His foot bouncing up and down, almost like a real rabbit when they stomp their feet. You had to force every ounce of your body not to giggle.

- “Bonnie, are you okay?”

“Goldie! Hey Goldie!” you hiss as you walk around the pizzeria. 

You were avoiding the gang to hang out with Goldie much to their disapproval when you voiced your interest in him to Chica and she blabbed to the guys. 

Darn you Chica…

You met Golden on your last day of night guard duty, as you had already met the rest of the gang prior days to you working the night shift. Golden was the last to show himself, it was clear he was standoffish as he blatantly tells you that he does not trust you and thinks you should quit. 

But somehow as you kept coming back, Golden became attached, as stating that since the gang did not like him hanging out with you, he would most definitely do so now. 

However, you knew it ran a bit deeper than that~

When you got more acquainted, Golden tells you that he had always been with you since your first night there as he was just watching you.

It appears he was trying to creep you out however, you found it endearing that Golden was looking out for you in his own way.

Even with Goldens first introduction to you being a bit harsh you two became a lot closer as you found yourself going to him much more.

Anyways the gang have been extra clingy since then and you just now got away to try and find the golden bear.

Golden huffs as he reaches into his pocket pulling out a piece of paper with glasses that looked all too familiar to Freddy’s.

“12:00 am wake up, 1:00 am tease Bonnie, 1:30 am eat Chica’s food-“you stifle you laugh.

“Wait you need an hour to wake up?”

“Hush I’m reading here” Golden sassed as he flaps the paper as if clearing dirt and continues, adjusting his glasses.

“3:20 am find you” you looked down at your watch it was indeed 3:21 am. He takes his glasses off as they disappear somewhere.

“Well, you found me, so what’s next?” you walk over to see his schedule only to find nothing on the paper.

“What the heck there’s nothing on there! You crazy bear!” you go to grab it as Golden lifts it away from you.

“Of course there is, I take this schedule seriously to stay sane in this place” he smiles as he looks down to you trying to grab the piece of paper from his hand. You finally stop when he starts laughing at you, knowing that you’ll never get the paper not without a ladder at least. 

You huff as you glare at his laughing face, Golden finally stops and looks to you. He just loved teasing you, “oh, don’t be so mad, love” Golden coos as he leans down to your level paper still in the air.

His nicknames never failed to fluster you as you look away your cheeks pink, “whatever you bum~” you elbow his gut,

He groans mockingly, you knew he wasn’t hurt, but he loved to fake it for your attention.

“Ugh, you wound me, my darling~” he pulls a pained expression as he lays on you, his entire weight on you.

You gasp as you struggle under his weight as you try to balance yourself and him “Go-Golden you’re too heavy...” you heave out your sentence as your legs began to shake, “Oh I don’t think I can go on...” Goldens eyes close as he goes limp in your arms. 

You moan as you try pushing him off before your legs gave up. “Then die on the floor not on me I still have so much to live for… EEP!!” your legs fail you as you both fall Golden on top of you his tongue gravitates out of his mouth. 

“Golden!!” you whine as your face was now red, the position you both were in did not leave much room for Jesus. 

You could hear Golden chuckle, “get up you lug! You weight a ton!!” you try to shimmy your way out; however, Golden keeps you tight under him.

He cracks open one eye as you could see a smirk on his lips.

You liked Harumi when first introduced, she said you were the sister she always wanted, you admired her for being such a kindhearted princess, when Lloyd told you more about her you continued to fall in love with her character hoping you two could become friends.

However, when the castle got attacked and Harumi came to stay with you guys, you noticed how close Lloyd and Harumi were getting. Sometimes it scared you with how Lloyd smiles at her, you thought you were being silly, she was a great girl of course Lloyd would like her. 

Harumi was great at detecting emotions; she could tell instantly something was wrong with you as she would come over and lend an ear. You felt comfortable enough to share your feelings with the girl,

“Oh my, what a coincidence, I too have feelings for Lloyd..” Your whole world went dark hearing that. It’s like your heart shattered in a million pieces, “O-oh, is that right?” you try and calm your breathing as to not have Harumi worry. “But I don’t want to take him from you, you like him, don’t you?” you do, but you didn’t want to be selfish. “N-no, Harumi if you love him, you should tell him that!” you stand up to quickly leave feeling the tears start to pour, “t-tell me how it goes oki!” you try to sound cheerful as you hurry to your room crying into your pillow. You were too late, Lloyd and Harumi will be together not you and Lloyd, the thought stung you hard, you had never felt so hurt before. Your insides felt as though they were tearing as you hiccup and sniffle, “please, please stop these horrible feelings. Please..” you whisper into your pillow as you try to compose yourself, the only thing stopping your tears was sleep.

Soon the storm comes, and Lloyd and Harumi get pulled off the Bounty, the team are baffled at your lack of concern for Lloyd, but you told them how Lloyd will be oki because he’s with Harumi. 

Later you find out Harumi betrayed Lloyd figuring out her reasons sometime later, when Lloyd came back after sending Harumi to jail, he looked so distraught and angry. 

You felt stupid for trusting Harumi, for just letting Lloyd go so easily, you couldn’t help but blame yourself as you stare off in the distance inside the rails of the Bounty. 

“Hey, it feels like I haven’t seen you for a while” you jump at Lloyd’s voice, looking back to him you wipe a stray tear. “Well Harumi was pulling you around” you mutter a touch of venom laced your words seeing Lloyd recline back made you curse at yourself.

“s-sorry, I shouldn’t have said that..” you look back down at the clouds, Lloyd had made his way over to you putting his legs into the rails with you.

“I thought she was different but turns out she’s just the same as any snake.” Lloyd spoke with such malice as you continue to stare out at the sky, “don’t blame yourself, she totally got me too, she’s such a brat..” Lloyd nods as he lays back to stare at the stars. “She said she liked me.” You gasp looking over to him, “what did you say?” holding your breath you can’t help but feel tears bubble as they run down your face, your sniffles got Lloyd’s attention as he rushed up to sooth you, “h-hey what’s wrong?” he was holding your face as you cried sobbing. You gasp as you try and find the words, “L-Lloyd, I love you!” you hiccup between words as you cried, “what..” Lloyd’s face was red as he tries to brush away your flowing tears. 

“H-Harumi said she liked you, s-so I said she should tell you, b-because-because I thought you guys would be better for each other” you continue sobbing your cheeks were red as you try to continue unable to look at Lloyd in the face. “But I have feelings for you too, I wanted to tell you that for the longest time, when Harumi said she liked you I felt so much pain in my heart, it felt like I was dying Lloyd.” You look up to see Lloyd, he kept silent to listen to you so you kept going, “I want to be with you, I want to be the one to hold you, I want to tell you how amazing you are and-and kiss you, I want to tell you that everything is oki, and- I just love you so much” your voice squeaks running out of air from your confession, “I’m so sorry” you mutter laying your head further down into his hands, “but I can’t help it” Lloyd swallows as he brings you closer into his chest. He was quiet for a moment before speaking, “I’m scared, of being betrayed again..” you wrap your arms around him as you stain his shirt, “but, I love you too, I don’t feel scared when I’m around you.. You were walking back from the convenient store with bags full of snacks for a long shut in weekend, you would have normally called Kai or even Nya to hang out. But with the week you had you didn’t have the energy to pretend that you were fine, you felt horrible because Kai was texting and calling nonstop asking to hang out. You answered some texts but leaving others alone unsure of how to respond to them.

You had a honey bun in your mouth as you chewed on it lazily, staring down at your phone at the many canceled plans that Kai made. Sighing you shove your phone back in your pocket.

‘I’m horrible’ you thought as you marched on, you felt as though you were letting your feet carry you wherever. You didn’t want to go home, it felt depressing to be in your room all alone eating a bunch of snacks, 

But where else could you go?

You noticed how dark the area had gotten around you, looking up from the floor you scan the street, you stopped unsure of where you were.

“Where am I?” you muttered swallowing the rest of the sweet bread.

“Oh, look who it is~” you jump at the sickeningly sweet greeting behind you, looking over your shoulder you tsk at two girls and guy behind you, gripping the bag you try and move on to find a way out. 

“Hey hussy, where do you think your going?” the girl runs over and yanks the back of your hoodie making you fall, “ack!” you yelp falling on your butt as your snacks fall. You look down as you hear their laughter’s mock you, “is that all for you?” “No way you’re sharing all that with someone” “if you eat too much we’ll start have to calling you piggy~” the group continues to laugh as you seethe under them, feeling pathetic you stand up and push the closest person, it was the girl who pulled your jacket. You had made her fall into a puddle of water, she shrieks in disgust as she stands quickly looking behind her, you gasp covering your mouth as you had just reacted. “Ugh, you stupid girl!” she curses stomping over to you grabbing the collar of your shirt and smacks you hard across the face.

“oof” you found yourself back on the floor lying on your side you try and stand but the other girl comes and kicks you, “y’know my friends were right, you are annoying” the girl mutters as she glares down at you. “You won’t be needing these right, we’re hella hungry, we’re doing you a favor y’know~” the girl gets he guy to collect your snacks as they start walking away, all you could do was lay there feeling defeated, you couldn’t talk nor could find it in you to get up. 

That’s when you hear screaming and different noises of fighting, you raise your head to look to see the two girls running back as they ignore you to get away from whatever spooked them. You gasp as you hear footsteps coming your way, they were quiet though your body was shaking as you reach for your phone to call for Kai. But when the footsteps approached you, you saw that it was Kai in his gi. “K-Kai?” he was quiet for a moment glaring down at you as he removes his mask, he was so angry that it scared you, he was holding your bag of snacks in one hand as he kneels down to your level, “K-“ “why didn’t you tell me you were getting bullied?” straight to the point, “I-I didn’t want to worry you” you look down after catching a glimpse of Kai’s sour face. He tsked before looking away, “don’t you know how worried I was for you, you’ve been ignoring me, I thought I did something wrong” his voice was breaking but he was holding strong. “I’m sorry” there was silence before Kai sighs, “c’mon, your hurt, I’m gonna bring you back to get healed.” “wh-what no, I’m fine, K-Kai!?” he then picks you up in a bridal style and carries you back to the Monastery, you had your arms around his neck as you blushed, “I was really worried about you, (y/n).” Kai spoke breaking the silence. “I know.” You look down again not able to see Kai’s face, “then why didn’t you tell me, and don’t say because you didn’t want me to worry” he cuts you off with a sharp glare as you turn away again, “I..was just so tired, I felt that if I handled it on my own, it’ll go away. If it didn’t then I would just disappear with it, I hate being a burden on anyone, when we finally got back together, I didn’t want our time together to be about fixing my problems. So, I just decided to keep it to myself.” Your voice was hollow having no feelings at all, only feeling tired at the past week events, “You aren’t a burden (y/n) whatever you’re going through I want to help you, because I love you, I love and care for you to ask what’s wrong. I want to know what I can do to help because I hate to see you in pain.” You shudder at Kai’s confession, your cheeks growing warm as you finally look up, Kai’s face was red with tears in his eyes, it’s been so long since you’ve seen him cry. Only seeing this side of him when you were kids, “Kai. I love you too” you reach up to grab his face in your hand sliding your thumb to capture the stray tear, “I’m so sorry for worrying you” Kai laughs as he sniffles at your politeness, “you don’t have to apologize, it’s my job to worry..” you smile up at him as he reaches the step. “Let’s get you some bandages and let’s hang out” Kai starts making his way up as you nod, “yes, that sounds great” you sigh exhausted as you lean against his chest.

You and Cole were in the kitchen, you asked if Cole would help you make extra treats for customers to try the next day. Even after Cole warning you of his accidents in the kitchen you were determined to have him help you.

“Oki, can you pour the sugar Cole” you held the measuring cup over the mixing bowl as Cole stood behind you, his tongue stuck out as he shakes the bag to get the sugar out. “Just a little though oki, we don’t want this too sweet” as soon as you said that Cole poured a heaping amount onto the cup creating a hill of sugar. 

“O-oh shoot, (y/n) I’m so sorry!” Cole backs away nervously as you giggle, “it’s fine Cole, luckily only a little bit of the sugar got into the bowl I’ll just measure out what we need from here” you even out the sugar as your pour the hill into the bowl then the rest into the bag. “Luckily this is just a test batch so let’s keep going” you ask for Cole to bring over the flour from the top shelf, “hey, (y/n) you said top shelf, right?” you hum as you look to see Cole searching in all directions for the flour. Shaking your head you grin seeing the flour was right in front of him he just had to move some things, “silly it’s right there” you point making your way over. You go underneath his arm wrapping around his waist causing Cole to blush pointing to the bag, “Oh I see it now” Cole grabs the bag, you then gasp as you suddenly remember, “w-wait be careful, it has a-“ soon flour falls on both of your faces making you look like powdered donuts. Out of shock Cole drops the bag and turns into you. “C-Cole wait-!” but it was too late, when you tried to move back you slipped on the flour falling on the flour. You grab onto to Cole’s shirt out of instincts making him fall with you.

“ack-“ “oof” you whine as you rub your butt to sooth the pain, Cole groans on top of you as he opens his eyes to see you. You finally open your eyes as well seeing Cole on top of you made you blush, but seeing you under him made Cole snort, “you look like those white dogs” he snickers as you groan, “har har, this is your fault y’know clumsy” you tease unable to hide your growing smile. Cole’s laughter soon stops as he lays his forehead against yours, you feel your cheeks grow red under the flour. You felt this was the moment to confess as you licked your lips opening your mouth to speak, 

“I love you, (y/n).” “Darnit!” Cole jumps at your curse looking a bit sad, “wh-what, did I say something wrong?” You huff before smiling, “no, you just totally beat me to the punch, I was just about to say the same thing” you giggle as Cole chuckles. 

“Well let’s say it together then~” Cole grins as he presses his flour nose against yours.

You and Zane found yourselves trapped under a bus stop tent, mainly for shelter as Zane, forgot his umbrella. 

“This is such déjà vu~” you smile at the current location you both were in. Remembering the first day you met Zane under a tent much like this. Looking to Zane who had his eyes to the rain hands in his coat pocket. 

“Yes, however strange, the weather man never called for rain…” Zane seemed to be in his own world as if wanting to figure out how the weather man could be wrong.

You hid your laugh as you shook your head, holding your hand out to catch rain drops, for weeks now you have been trying to find a way to confess to Zane about your feelings. Every time you would a tiny voice would stop you, 

Clenching your hand recalling all those times you chickened out; you pull your hand back as you watched the droplets fall. You felt like such a coward not being able to communicate your feelings properly.

You then direct your attention to the roof of the bus tent noticing a bulge taking form, oh shoot, was that gonna break? You look nervously as more rain was collected looking like it would burst. 

You look to Zane for assistance, why couldn’t you open your mouth? Looking to the roof again you start getting nervous, looking back to Zane as you try to shuffle closer to him. It wasn’t enough, you knew it would break any second and drench you,

The words that had wanted to come out couldn’t why was this so hard…

Maybe you deserved this for being a coward.

You gasp as you hear the tent snap closing your eyes and stiffening your body to get splashed, but your body was quickly moved into Zane’s, your arms wrapped around Zane’s body his hands holding your upper arms shielding you from the rain. Your chest was close to his as the water splashed on to the floor, completely missing its target. 

You didn’t know what came over you, but it’s like the anticipation and Zane’s sudden movements pushed out the words that you’ve been wanting to say ever since you realized your feelings for the Nindroid. 

“I love you!” falls from you plump lips as you push yourself even closer into Zane’s form if it was even possible. Not wanting to let go in fear of rejection. 

You never felt so safe with someone his body was cold, but you didn’t mind as it was the only thing calming your hot face.

Zane looks to you with an expression you couldn’t read, did he hear you?

“I apologize, can you repeat that (y/n)?” Zane’s expression didn’t seem confused, did he not hear you?

Your face turns red, “I-I um-“ your hands hold tight onto Zane’s coat looking away, it took so much forced courage to say those words. How dare he not hear you!!

“I love you! Oki?” you finally face him holding a cringed expression as now you could hear the words fall from your mouth.

Zane finally processes your words as he smiles gently, geez his smile could stop an internal brain war.

His colossus hand slides up to cup the back of your head hair tangled in his hand pushing you into his chest as he lowers his head. 

His other hand moves to rest on the bottom part of your back pushing you even farther into him, he was leaning over you almost in a dip. He was trying to be as close to you as possible.

“I knew that’s what you said, I just wanted to hear it come from your lips again.” You smile as a sigh leaves your mouth, you were so happy, “you’re so dumb, Zane~” as tears collect in your eyes. “I can say it for you as many times as you’d like.” You confess as you close your eyes, the rain and Zane’s words were the only thing that you could hear now.

“That would be nice.” Zane whispers close to your ear.

You two had yet to notice that the sun had peaked out from the dark cloud’s birds rejoiced as clouds parted for the sun.

“Y-yes, I’m fine, I’m just surprised, I treated you so poorly, I ignored you and-“ you place a finger to your lips to shush him, “you were nervous Jay, I understand, I already forgave you, so there’s no need to worry oki?” you give an assuring smile as Jay smiles down at you. “(y/n), I..uhm, d-do you..” Jay looks around the room nervously as he starts to sweat his fingers fiddled with your shirt as he struggles with his confession,

Lloyd follows the sound of giggling as he looks to your cracked door, he knew he shouldn’t be peaking into your room. Since getting a talk from his brothers about how girls liked their privacy, 

Lloyd blushes at the awkward conversation as he rolls his eyes knocking lightly on your decorated door. Your giggling stops as you shuffle in your bed,

“The doors open” you call from the other side. Lloyd pushes the door open taking the invitation as he notices your surprised expression, Lloyd hasn’t been inside your room since the change. 

So, he knew seeing him was a surprise to you, Lloyd knew he was welcomed as you had invited him in the past. However, the thoughts of being alone in a room with you made his heart skip in ways that he has never experienced so he’s denied the offer or would excuse himself with a fake task leaving you behind.

So now here he was in your room decorated to your liking which was really cute in his opinion, your room screamed you, it was comforting in a sense. Lloyd takes notice of your favorite colors scattered around the room with other colors that complimented the scheme that you were going for, 

“Wow (y/n), your room looks amazing” Lloyd compliments as he walks over to you plopping himself on the floor. He hears your giggle as his ears start to flare up, “what are you doing? Come up here” you pat the spot next to you as Lloyd nods hesitantly. He gets up to sit at the place you patted, awkwardly shifting his feet, “so, whatsup?” you ask as you sat your elbow on your crossed knee resting your cheek on your palm as you look to him. Lloyd lets out a chuckle that he's been holding in,

Why was he so nervous, he’s never been nervous of you, if anything he’s always saw you as a challenge. Avoiding you when you were kids as your teased him and he’d scheme pranks on you, but now you both would look away from each other stuttering on words and making lies to get away from one another.

What was going on? 

“Oh, y’know the usual, fighting Kai, beating Jay, helping Cole, and learning from Zane” you lift yourself up as you chuckle, “That’s a lot… How are you handling it?” You would ask that a lot checking on him to which greatly appreciated since no one had ever asked him that. 

“It was hard at first, but it’s becoming second nature now.” You nod at Lloyd’s answer as you look away to your hands, “why’d you decided to come to my room?” you ask looking to him again with a teasing grin. “You starting to get tired of your brothers~” you laugh as Lloyd grins, “I’ve never been good at sharing” Lloyd huffs as he grins at your laughter. “How’s the room, s’pretty spacious” Lloyd looks around as you nod, you rub the back of your neck, as you mumble something that the average person couldn’t hear. 

However, when you look to Lloyd the blush on his face said otherwise as he grips the sheets under him quickly looking away as you did the same.

‘The nights are lonely without you’ is what you said, meaning for it to be internal as you move a part of your hair behind your ear. Your blush was evident on your face to Lloyd’s view, 

he swallows hard as Lloyd looks up from your wooden floorboards sucking in a breath as he says the words that has been inside his head since he left your room that night.

✩˖ ࣪‧₊˚໒꒱⋆✩ When Kai met his sister, they knew he would protect her from anything. Being a caring older brother, he helped them around the house, taking on responsibilities that was uncommon for a three-year-old.

✩˖ ࣪‧₊˚໒꒱⋆✩ But then Kai’s parents left, leaving him with the shop and caring for Nya, school got harder for you as after the rumors you found it emotionally draining to pick up a pencil and paper that wasn’t your homework.

✩˖ ࣪‧₊˚໒꒱⋆✩ But now here you both are together, unable to let each other go again, meeting almost daily.

✩˖ ࣪‧₊˚໒꒱⋆✩ Kai loved using these moments to get closer to you, whenever you came over any arguments that happen. Or any stress that ran through him from missions, you were able to show up just in time to help him through it.

✩˖ ࣪‧₊˚໒꒱⋆✩ Kai loved every second of it, your quiet and logical voice calming him down as you hold him close. Wishing for more moments like this but when he isn’t angry, just to feel your touch during happy, sad, or neutral moments.

You and Kai sit with pillows under yourselves on the floor with a blanket on top of both your legs, it was raining outside so there wasn’t much to do but stay indoors.

So, you thought to bring over some movies to watch together with snacks from the convenient store, Kai was so excited to hang out with you outside.

Having made plans for the both of you to spend at the park and going to get ice cream, the amusement park came to the city even.

However, with training and school, you both had to go on the last day,

Turns out the last day was when the gods decided to rain on your guy’s day. And Kai being understandably pissed, you came up with the quick solution, but it was obvious that Kai was still sulking.

He enjoyed the time with you, but he really was looking forward to spending time outside of the monastery. “Oh Kai, if you keep sulking, you’re gonna get wrinkles~” you sing placing your cup of noodles down and start to rub Kai’s back in a comforting manner.

Kai huffs as he turns away, “sorry, I just, was really looking forward to spending the day with you” you giggle,

“But we are silly.”

“y’know what I mean, more than just sitting and talking, I wanted to…take you out.” The words that Kai pushed out made you blush; your heart begins to pick up speed as you try and calm your breathing.

Your smile grows as you lay you head down on Kai’s shoulder you feel his body tense up before relaxing again.

“I like hanging out with you like this, whether we’re out or not I just want to be near you.” Your words calmed the fire ninja, so much that his frustration completely dispersed as a goofy smile crosses his lips at your caring words and physical contact.

“Heh, thanks (y/n), I just don’t wanna bore you.” You giggle again, “you’re so silly Kai, you could never bore me, even if we were watching paint dry, I’d still want to stay with you.” You close your eyes and snuggle closer to your friend loveras Kai does the same, he lays his head on yours.

Kai grabs a random snack from the bag and opens it, grabbing a chip between two fingers he gives one to you placing it close to your lips. 

You open your mouth and lean over grabbing the chip into your mouth, Kai blushes as he feels your lips brush against the tips of his fingers.

You look up at Kai and smile, seeing residue from the spicy noodles that you were eating all over your lips.

Kai smiles before bursting with laughter, “haha-oh my gosh, (y/n), you look like you got red lipstick all over your mouth-haha!” you yelp embarrassed at how you must look.

Turning away you try to find a napkin to wipe your face, “d-don’t look! Where’s a napkin!” you frantically try to find one as Kai places a hand on your wrist, “it’s oki, hah, you look cute” you huff as you try not to look away. Kai calms his laughter as he grabs a napkin from his side and starts to wipe your mouth, you can’t help but blush as Kai’s hand holds your chin to properly wipe away red broth from the spicy noodles off your lips.

“There, all clean” Kai smiles down at you as you both look at each other, the movie long forgotten, the moment you both were caught in was a change in mood. Kai brings your head up further looking down you catch a glimpse of his lips, closing your eyes you both move closer.

“Kai! Have you seen my- oh~ what’s happening here~?” Nya bursts into the room as you and Kai recline away from each other in a fast motion.  “N-Nya, get out!” Kai screams as he stands up to chase her out.

“Ooh~ you guys are getting close~” Nya teases as she cackles out the room.

“Ugh, sisters.” Kai groans.

You and Cole were walking down the city, it was your day off and you asked if Cole wanted to hang out with you,

It took a bit of convincing to ask him to come as he didn’t want to impose on your day off. He had wanted you to take it easy seeing as you had a busy week, but you were able to convince him to join you.

“We should get ice cream!” you excitedly point to an ice cream parlor, Cole hums as he seemed just as excited as you.

“Hey, that’s not a bad idea, it is getting hot” Cole puts his hands in his pocket as he follows you.

You open the door to hear a small bell go off alerting others of your arrival in the shop.

The cold air of the shop hits you, feeling it against your sweaty neck and collarbone felt like heaven.

“Ahh, that feels so goood” you smile as your stretch wanting more of the cold air to hit other parts of your body,

Cole sighs in delight as well as his body slouches feeling relaxed, “it seems everyone had your idea of getting ice cream” Cole comments as he views to packed parlor. You shrug as you try and find a table, “that’s oki, I don’t mind waiting” your smile grows as you find a table,  “look look!” you jump as you race to the table before anyone could take it, “c’mon~” you wave Cole over as he follows you shaking his head a teasing smile on his face.

“Alright, you sit, and I’ll order.” 

You nod not wanting to get up as you tell Cole what you wanted, after a bit he soon comes back with two cones, he was already devouring his taking big licks. 

You grab your cone as soon as Cole hands it over to you, you hum at the sweet taste taking small licks to savor the flavor.

“What did you get?” Cole rolls his cone over his tongue looking to you again, “rocky road” you grin as he chuckles.

“yummy” you stare at his cone grabbing Cole’s attention as he arches a brow, “wanna taste?” he holds the cone up to you, your face grows red at his smoothed down ice cream. 

“uh-uhm a-are you sure?” you stutter out as you stare down at his ice cream, “as long as I get a lick of yours” Coles words flowed out so easily does he have no shame?!

You hum as if thinking on what to do, still blushing you look away to see if anyone was looking. Seeing as no one cared you look back and stick out your tongue swiping up at his ice cream leaving a dent as to where you licked tasting chocolate. 

You retract quickly as you look to Cole seeing that he was just staring at you, you thought that he finally realized what just happened as you notice soft pink blush on his cheeks making your heart jump at his cute face.

“Can I try yours?” he finally speaks catching you out of your trance you nod and shove your cone in his face.

“ack!?” you gasp as you went a little too far having hit his nose with your ice cream, “C-Cole! I’m so sorry!” Cole looks to his nose, looking adorable.

He swipes it up with his finger and places it in his mouth, 

“Hey that’s good!” Cole smiles as you felt as though you were about to have a heart attack.

“Th-thank you..” you smile tiredly as Cole chuckles,  he looks to your blushing face, smile still painted strong as you take a swipe of your ice cream, looking down Cole looks at the dent you made when you licked his ice cream,

He blushes as he lowers his tongue and licks the same spot that you tasted. He hums as he looks back up to enjoy his view of you.

⋆˚🐾˖ “I take a deep breath-“ you inhale through your nose, “I let it sit collecting the bad thoughts-“ your voice wavers from holding in the breath as you finally release it slowly. “Then I let it go, my bad thoughts fly away into the wind.” Your smile up at Zane as you chuckle watching Zane look up as if seeing your said troubles blow away with the wind.

⋆˚🐾˖ Zane looks back down to you in admiration, wearing a cami plaid dress with matching headband and earrings, Zane’s eyes move down to your lips they were glossy and smooth. 

⋆˚🐾˖ This moment reminded him of the movie you both watched of the couple holding each other lovingly as they sealed their loving words with a kiss.

⋆˚🐾˖ “I-uhm-th-thank you” Zane tries to talk, you tilt your head as your brows furrowed with confusion, your soft smile only intensifies Zane’s feelings.

“I agree with lightning, I could use a tan” Kai grins under his mask as Cole shakes his head, “We need to report back to sensei of our findings there’s plenty of time to relax, c’mon” Kai and Jay groan as the follow Cole. Kai stops however to see Zane staring down at the ground, “Hey Zane let’s go!” he calls to the nindroid causing him to jump from whatever he was looking at. “What is it, Zane? Did you find something?” Cole walks over and kneels to whatever caught their brother’s attention,

“It’s just a shell” Jay squints placing a hand on his hip. “Aw man, I thought it was something cool” Kai complains as he huffs walking away with Jay, “it’s a very beautiful shell” Zane picks it up and examines it holding it up to the light and watching the colors dance on his face. 

Cole cocks his head to the side as if trying to understand Zane, “uh yea Zane, that’s some shell” Cole walks with Zane close behind. “What’s so special about that shell anyways?” Jay pipes up as Cole and Zane catch up. “I am not sure of how to describe it, but it reminds me of (y/n)” Zane continues to stare down at the tiny shell following the ridges with his thumb. “Who?” Kai was now interested again stopping to let the others catch up to him.

“(y/n), I met her when I went out to get ingredients for dinner.” Zane spoke remembering his encounter with you, the memory made him smile as Cole puts two and two together, “ooh, you like her” Cole smiles at his ‘a-hah’ moment. 

“I enjoy her company if that is what you mean.” Zane looks to Cole, confused of what he was insinuating. “No Zane you like like her, like y’know” Jay only confuses him more as the nindroid shakes his head.

“I do not know.” The guy’s groan at the dopey nindroid, 

“Oki, how do we explain this..” Kai places a hand on his chin to think, “oki, when you’re around (y/n) how do you feel” Kai points to Zane. The group stops to wait for his answer, what does he feel when he’s around you?

Zane stares back at the small shell as if it held the answers, “I feel, happy when I am with (y/n) I feel that she genuinely understands me” Zane pauses for a moment rummaging through every interaction that he has had with you to diagnose himself and his feelings.

“But at times, I feel…nervous, she makes my sensors act up, I have to work hard to calm my system from overheating. When she displays physical contact, my gears turn fast…Are these signs of like liking someone?” Zane looks up at his friends who now had the masks up smiles on their faces.

Jay wipes a fake tear, “our little nindroid is growing up” the rest laugh as Zane stares confused, “are these feelings normal?” he tilts his head as Cole nods, “yea man completely normal. You love her and you saying how that shell reminds you of her, shows how she’s always on your mind, you should tell her that, she might feel the same!” Zane hums as he thinks back on their words. “yea Zane, you should confess, tell them what you told us!” 

“But what if they don’t harbor the same feelings as me?” Zane’s face contorts to worry as he continues to fiddle with the shell,

“Oh, well that is a possibility” Kai shoves Jay making him groan seeing as it only fueled in Zane’s worry. “No way, I’m sure she likes you too!” Cole walks over placing a hand on Zane’s shoulder, “yea man, don’t worry so much turn off that overthinking brain of yours and listen to what’s in here.” Cole points to Zane’s chest.

“My control box?” Zane goes to open it, the guys watch as a moth flies out, Cole groans as he shuts it, “no, your heart. You’re a good guy Zane your kind and compassionate, I’m sure whoever this (y/n) knows that too.” Zane processes his words as he looks down at his chest placing a hand of where his heart would be,

What is his heart saying to him?

The next day Zane met with you at the park, you both planned on going to the aquarium as they had a new exhibit. 

“Zane, hey!” you call for him waving by the fountain as he turns and runs over to you, “good morning (y/n)” you smile at how polite he was. “morning” you chirp back feeling excited for your plans, “are you ready?” you give out your hand for Zane as he pauses for a second his gears working to calm the blush on his cheeks.

“B-before we go, may I say something?” you pause as well putting your hand to your side again, “s-sure, what’s up?” you were quiet, was Zane getting tired of you? Was he telling you he didn’t want to be with you anymore? You swallow as Zane worked up the courage,

You notice him take a deep breath, holding it before letting it go. He was using your technique. 

“Zan-“ “(y/n), you make me nervous” huh, your body went stiff,  “I-I’m sorry?” he shakes his head and continues, “you make my body work hard to calm my nerves, whenever we touch I feel sparks go up to my head and my face over heats. My.. heart beats so fast that I feel that it might explode.” You take in his words your own heart beating fast and your cheeks turning pink, “my friends told me it is because I like like you, and they are right, you are sweet and patient, you help me understand new concepts of emotions that I would never have known.” 

Your eyes shine with hope of what Zane was getting at, was he…

confessing?! 

“Oh, Zane I-I don’t know what to say” you giddily hold your face calming your blush as you swoon,

“You are a dear friend to me (y/n), and I want to tell you how much I appreciate you.”

It felt like someone broke a piece of glass, you broke from your trance startled by the ‘friend’ part coming from Zane’s lips. Looking to him he hands you the shell he found on the beach, it takes you a moment to take it as you were still recovering from the unexpected…confession.

“I found this shell on the beach, it reminded me of you, so I want you to have it” he smiled with such innocents so happy for you to take the gift that he felt you would like.

So, swallowing down your feelings you reach for the shell your hands softly touch causing you both to blush. “th-thank you Zane, it’s so pretty” you chuckle admiring the shell still feeling a slight sting from the friend zone.

“Of course (y/n), I’m glad you like it, I think it’s very beautiful too” he smiles down at you making your blush worst.

You hear Lloyd hack as you could guess was brushing his teeth, the sink goes off as you hear him spit. “Alright alright I’m coming out” Lloyd huffs playfully, chuckling at your impatience as he pictures you rolling your eyes on the other side.

You hear the door unlock as the doorknob turns, “geez Lloyd you’re becoming just as bad as kai” you sass crossing your arms shifting your weight from one foot to the other grinning as you waited for Lloyd to come out. 

“What can I say, I have a girl to impress~” Lloyd teases as he opens the door his hand on the door while his other held the door frame.

Lloyd exhales through his nose a soft smile on his face as he enjoyed your cute face, praising you with a kiss on your waiting lips. He leans in to deepen the kiss as you hummed into the taste of mint, you both pull away sharing a sigh as your face settled with pink blush eyes sparkling from adoration for the blushing man holding you.

“Get ready for bed yea!” you interrupt Lloyd as you swing behind facing his back as you push him out almost falling on his face,

Luckily no one inside, you huff as you close the door, you’ve been searching for what felt like forever. With no luck you decided to try waiting out for Kai in his room, making your way there you run into Cole having a towel over his shoulders patting his sweaty forehead. 

“Hey Cole” you smile politely walking over to the earth ninja, “Oh hey (y/n), you lookin’ for Kai?” Cole asks as he returns your smile. You nod scratching the back of your head, “Your home is so big with so many doors, I’m surprised you guys don’t get lost” you joke as Cole snickers. “Eh, you get used to it” he points behind him to the end of the hallway with two big sliding doors, “He’s out on the court, just got finished his training actually” Cole looks back to your grateful expression.  “Thanks Cole, cya later!” you walk to the sliding doors after Cole waved you off continuing his way, you open the doors as the afternoon heat greeted you. 

You look around to see dummies and training equipment with Kai in a fighting stance, you slowly slide the doors closed as you watch him not wanting to be a distraction as you go to sit on the steps. 

Kai’s fists were tightly closed as you followed the lines of his muscles of his sleeveless shirt flexing as he gives quick and powerful blows to the spinning equipment. The planks come back around as Kai quickly blocks the quick turning equipment with his arms, grunts slip from his lips after every blow he gave. His eyebrows scrunched as sweat drops from his brow, you watched as he moved, he was so strong. Soon the equipment starts to get faster from each hit that Kai gave, he then uses one of the bottom planks to push himself up into the air performing a backwards flip as he lands on his feet as the equipment spins. 

You look to Kai in amazement at his skill you were starting to realize that watching Kai train was starting to become your favorite activity. 

Noticing the way Kai’s healed scars on his muscle would tense and release as he grabbed heavy objects, wishing it was you, and continued with his training for a little while. Kai threw the weights down as a sigh escapes his lips finally taking a break. He starts to fan himself using his tank top, letting out a breathy laugh Kai looks to you with a teasing glint.

“How long d’you wanna stare?” his exhausted deep voice sounded like heaven, “Huh!” you finally pop out from your thoughts ripping away from his glorious, scared face and arms. 

“Wh-Whatever~” You look away embarrassed a smile creeping it’s way on your red cheeks, Kai starts making his way towards you.

“Was my sister too boring~ Did you need me to entertain you, bunny~?” You look to his cheeky smirk with an unamused grin, “ha-ha, aren’t you hilarious~” you joke as you turn away from your boyfriend. “I was just coming to hang out with you since Nya had a mission, but since your busyyy” you go to walk away with an expectant reaction from Kai to pull you back into his sweaty body. Oh boy was that a mistake.

You gag as you inhale his very worked out body odor, “Kaiii, you smell like burnt charcoal and outside!!” You squeal as Kai holds your struggling form close to his uncomfortably wet body. 

“I’m sooo sorry, baby~ Let’s hang out~” Kai swings your body from side to side as if printing his scent onto you. You let out a playful scream as you try to get away, “fiine, whatever, just let go you smelly dog” you complain as you continue to wiggle. Kai laughs as he turns you around to face him, “I’ll let you go for a kiss~” Kai taunts as he comes closer to your face visibly pleased by your blushing face. “Mmm, Kaii” you whine as you scrunch up your nose after catching a whiff of his neck, Kai made no movement of letting you go until he got what he asked for. You sigh in defeat as you shuffle your arms away from your boyfriend’s grip to cup his cheeks you slowly bring him down to your lips as Kai hums into your mouth, he blushes from feeling your lips mold into a smile. 

You both part as you try to catch your breaths; Kai lays his head on the crook of your shoulder holding you close. 

“Kai, I love you-“

“Me too-“

“But you stink, honey, take a shower.” You say deadpanned, 

“yep” Kai lets go finally as he goes to take a well-deserved shower.

Cole is a sweetheart around the kitchen when he would volunteer his help especially when gathering supplies from the highest point of the shelf or lifting heavy objects like big bags of flour or sugar. 

You appreciated his help especially when your father couldn’t be at the shop, you tried paying him for helping you, but he refused saying, “what kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t help my favorite girl?” however, he did say that you could pay him in samples of new recipes and kisses from you. Which you completely oblige to, 

It was early in the morning on a Saturday, your shop closes on weekends so during this time you would take time to restock incoming supplies and throw away old ingredients. 

Cole would invite himself to help you during these times he enjoyed the quiet of the shop as you played music in the background from yours and Cole’s combined playlist that you both worked together in making. Cole enjoyed spending those times with you, it made him happy to think about having a domestic lifestyle with you. 

You held your favorite-colored clipboard with your checklist in hand of things to check for, ensuring all your supplies came in and ingredients hadn’t passed its expiration date. 

After the satisfied check you asked if Cole could carry in the big bags of flour to their respected places. 

Nodding Cole lifts one of the bags securely on his shoulder and the other under his arm with zero effort. Since Cole has helped from moving and grabbing objects you’ve found yourself staring at his arms. Enjoying the way, they flexed as he moved the supplies at your order, his muscles would tense and veins protrude as he would hold objects in his arms firmly. Why can’t he hold you like that?! You bite your lip to distract your deep desires as you slowly peel your eyes away from his arms. 

Soon you hear a chuckle from your boyfriend you snap your head back as Cole doubles over, placing the large bags on the table so that he doesn’t drop them.

“Why are you laughing!” You smile nervously as you had a suspension as to why, “You are so obvious, (y/n), oh my gosh” Cole places his hands on his knees once again going tense as he holds onto them seeing his veins and blushing at the sight. You were losing too much respect for yourself, oml, “What, can’t I appreciate the looks of my man~” you try to play it cool as you grin placing hands on your hips as Cole smiles regaining his composure. 

“Hmm, your man, I like the sound of that~” Cole saunters over each step he took was in tune to the music as you blush forcing your eyes to look at him. Cole then wraps his arms around your waist as he pulls you close swaying both your hips to the music that was playing on your phone. 

You wrap your arms around him fighting the urge to look at how his arms looked wrapped around you. Feeling tiny under him knowing he could probably pick you up like it was nothing made your heart flutter. 

“It’s true, you’re my man~” you smile as you repeat into his neck as he continues to sway you, he slowly spins you to A dip, “I’m so lucky to be yours, babe~” he lowers his head to kiss your lips. You close your eyes to accept his affection-

“ahem” you felt Cole tense up above you as you jumped you both pulling away to see your dad at the door with an unamused face.  D-daddy!” you nervously greet him to try and hide any happenings to prevent an aneurism from him.

“H-hey, Mr. (l/n)” Cole waves as he chuckles nervously leaning against the counter to try and act calm in front of your dad.

He huffs as he walks away to pay off bills most likely for the shop, you both sigh with relief more of Cole as he had a hand over his beating heart. “Geez, do you think your dad will ever like me?” Cole asks with a grin; you chuckle as you grab Cole’s hand. “He likes you, he’s just…not thrilled with you” you try and explain your fathers’ thoughts as best as you could.

Cole hums as he places his other hand on the bottom of your chin placing a quick kiss to your lips, “well, these bags aren’t gonna move themselves~” Cole kisses the back of your hand as he lets go to finish his task. Placing your fingers on your lips you smile as you continue your own work as music from Cole’s selection starts to play as you sway your hips absentmindedly to the beat.

Zane was over at your apartment for a date night, you both were cooking dinner as he was frying fish, and you were cutting vegetables and making rice on the side. You enjoyed Zane’s cooking he made everything one hundred times better, he could make toast taste like a delicacy.

You especially liked helping him by passing him things or adding things into dishes when his hands were full. It made you feel like a married couple making dinner together it was so romantic to you, Zane seemed to enjoy it as well as he always had a smile on his face, he seemed to love teaching you how to do things as well. 

You remember when Zane was behind you as he guided your hands when cutting into the fruit, you were so focused but on the wrong things. Not on Zane’s voice, not in the motion of his cutting. But his forearm, his muscles visible from each motion as he would talk you into cutting properly. His quiet voice close to your ear your back against his smooth chest. Blush was visible on your face as you squeak when Zane calls for your name,  “(y/n), are you alright? Your heart rate has increased” Zane points out as his blue eyes glow in a scanning motion. “D-don’t point that out!” you squeak as you close your eyes from embarrassment, Zane tilts his head to the side as he looks to your face. “You are red, you are displaying characteristics similar to when we kis-“ you interrupt him with a squeal as you duck away from his hold. 

That was a month ago, you’ve learned your lesson or so you thought as you finished chopping the vegetable you go to turn off the dial to the rice to let it sit as you look to Zane again. Having tongs in his hand as he lifts the finished fried fish from the pot, and places them on the paper towel to dry any extra grease as the fish sits. You were staring again looking at his forearms as they flexed from gripping and releasing. Watching the muscles on the back of his hand flex as well, “ow!” you flinch back as the grease popped you on your hand. Zane broke from his concentration as he places the tongs down to tend to you.

“Are you alright?” Zane was quick to grab your wrist as he examines your hand, “you are not burned however, running your hand under cool water should ease the pain” Zane explains as he walks you to the sink and runs your hand under the water. 

You flinch under the sudden temperature change and sudden pain that danced on your hand, Zane was quick to notice your pull back. As he starts rubbing his thumb on the palm of your hand in comforting motion, each time his thumb would run against your palm his muscles on his wrist would once again show. Putting you in a trance of its movement, you found yourself once again against Zane’s body, blush found its way to your cheeks as you hum against his touch admiring his hands movements. 

“(y/n)” Zane calls to you as all you could do was hum a response to him, his touch was so calming and soothing. “Your face is warm, and your heart is starting to pick up speed” Zane was now confident enough in understanding your emotions to tell when you are not harmed but displaying satisfied emotions during your intimate moments together.

Zane smiles as he holds you close closing his eyes as he leans down to the crook of your neck, you mold your hands to hold his as they stayed under the cool water. 

“I have noticed how attentive you’ve been of my hands, why is that?” Zane asks as he continues rubbing your injured hand with affection. You blush as you look to him as you rub your cheek onto Zane’s synthetic one, “I just…like them” you spoke quietly as you tried to save any type of dignity you once had by not saying how hot his hands were when he would grab or subconsciously flex them. Wishing he’d grab parts of your body so that you could feel how much power he puts into them to make them flex like that. 

But someone would have to torture you to get that information out. 

Zane’s smile grows as he traces his nose up your neck, “Is that normal for people to like features such as that?” Zane asks, was he teasing you? 

You huff out a laugh as you look away, “it’s what I like, others have different preferences, but hands are a common one.” You explain to your boyfriend, he nods as he hums at your answer still smiling. 

“Are there other parts of me that you enjoy?” Zane’s question surprised you as your face exploded into red, your ears were pink as Zane’s lips formed into a grin. “I-uhm, well-“ before you could explain you hear beeping come from your smoke alarm. You both jump from each other as Zane was quick to turn off the stove smoke coming from the oil pan as he transfers it over to a cool part of the stove. You race to open a window as Zane puts on the oven fan and shuts off the smoke alarm.

Once there was quiet again you and Zane let out a sigh of relief, “th-thank you, hah” you laugh as Zane smiles shyly scratching the back of his head. 

“I apologize I should have turned off the stove” you giggle as you pat Zane on the shoulder in a reassuring manner, “It’s okay, the important thing is that we’re safe~” you kiss his cheek as you place the fried fish on the table with the rice and vegetables. You look back to Zane who was looking at you with blush on his face, 

Smiling you ask, “are you ready for dinner?”

Jay shared his interest in inventing new technologies for the team with you, his hobby of fixing things around his home and even yours, if you asked him. Which he was so happy to do, it was like a dog wanting to please its owner.

It was adorable to you when Jay would tell you different parts that he was using to fix different things. He was happy to know that you wanted him to show you how to fix things, so you didn’t always ask him in fear of annoying him.

Jay would ease your worry by saying he’ll always be there to help you, dropping anything that he was doing to help you with heart eyes.

In return you would make him food or drinks to which he’d gush thanking you multiple times for the food, you giggle as he would eat the food you made with a smile on his face as if you cured hunger. 

Jay has expressed how much he’s loved your cooking several times, ever since you made dinner for him when he came to your house to get away from his brothers. 

After that he was hooked, you were sure he was overexaggerating, but he’d always come to your house whenever you invited him. 

So now Jay is fixing your car, it was a great price and a dream car of yours, however not even three months later did your car start experiencing problems. No wonder it was a too good to be true, you asked Jay if he could fix your car since you knew finding someone to fix it would cost a fortune. That is why you had Jay over that night working in your garage under the car, you would talk to the chatterbox to keep him company until you left to make dinner. 

When you came back to tell Jay that it was done you saw him in his white undershirt wiping oil off his hands, his concentrated brow furrowed as he tries to clean up. You stare at his thin white shirt cover in sweat as it stuck to his body, his rippling muscles showing through his shirt, it almost looked unnatural on his cute face. To see a chiseled chest hand crafted by the gods on your adorable boyfriends freckled face, but there it was. Manipulating his arms to clean the oil from your car, 

You stare at him jaw on the floor at his form. Jay satisfied for what he could get off throws the rag in the bucket going inside to tell you what he’s found and how he can fix it just to meet your shocked expression. 

“O-oh hey..” Jay waves as he looks to you with a questioned look wondering as to why you looked like you were trying to catch flies in your mouth, “are you okay?” he tilts his head like a puppy. But the cute face was instantly shadowed by his form, “J-Jay, you look…great” you force out any dignity that you had left, you walk over with your hand out.

Jay blushes but stays still wanting to know what you would do; you touch his wet shirt that was protecting his muscles you feel a spark shock your finger as you ignore it for your personal gain to glide your finger delicately down his abs. 

Jay squeaks as you continue your nails tickling his stomach as he stares at you with loving eyes as you revered in his body, “(y-y/n)” Jay breaths out as you finally snap out from your trance to look up at your boyfriend. He looks so cute with his flustered expression over his scattered freckles, you smile as you cup your hand on his cheek gliding your thumb as he rests his head on your palm.

“Dinner is ready..” you whisper loud enough for him to hear you as he hums staring at your face, “You’re so handsome Jay, y’know?” you ask as you glide your hand down to his chin so that he’d look at you. “I do now, but c-can you say it again?” he squeaks out as he looks away for a second to land back at your adoring face, you coo as you exhale a smile on your face.

“Of course, blue jay~ My handsome boyfriend~” you grab his face you pull him down to a kiss, separating to continue your praises calling him handsome and yours.

Jay soaks up your words like a sponge, you giggle at his pleased face as you pull away rewarded by a pout. “c’mon silly, let’s get you something to eat” you wink as you bring him inside, Jay chuckles as he looks away, “y’know if I get this from just my shirt maybe I should wear this all the time~” Jay teases as he looks back to your blushing face. 

“You’d do that for me?” you bite your lip at future encounters of Jay and his body, Jay’s confidence instantly plummets as he turns to mush from witnessing your face at his comment. You giggle as you pat Jay’s back, “go shower and I’ll have your plate ready” you walk over to your stove to prepare any last touches.

Jay smiles as he goes to your bathroom for a needed shower, once you were by yourself you place a hand on your heart feeling it’s beat increase at your actions. You had to calm your breathing as a smile grows bigger, you were coming to the point of a fangirl freakout, as you fanned your face and squealed soon wrapping your hands around your body.

“Eek, my boyfriend is so hawt!” you squeak as you place your hands on your cheeks that was growing hot by the second, from your freak out.

“Hehe, so this is why you pushed me out the room~” you hear Jays voice as you stop in your tracks, you slowly turn to face your smug boyfriend, “I needed a towel, so I came down to ask for one, I’m so glad I came at the right time to see this” Jay smiles at your embarrassed expression. 

You chuckle nervously as you look away, “w-well I can’t help but think that I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have a cute hot boyfriend” you try to explain as you scratch the back of your head. Jay chuckles as he comes over to hug your embarrassed form knowing your reaction all too well, 

“I’m the lucky one for having such a loving girlfriend~” you smile as you accept his embrace. “I love you, (y/n)” Jay exhales as you hug him tightly, “I love you too, Jay.”

  Insecure Lloyd is tired of being the hated boy in public eye, both in school and in Ninjago media. He has his team helping him and his sensei to calm his mind, as well as loving mother and somewhat now supportive overlord father that tries his best. But the stares of hatred that he gets, his extra mile of politeness that he forces out to not have people hate him more. The roll of eyes and groans he gets when he walks by a group of kids at school, and the constant berate that his friends get for being associated with him is unbearable.

  Insecure Lloyd, trying to find some light at the end of his tunnel. He should be grateful that he has a handful of friends or a loving mother, father, and uncle who are there to support him. But whenever he feels an ounce of happiness, just turning on the tv or phone to check social media instantly pummels his mood. Seeing videos of him sitting by himself at lunch and people making fun of him. Or being painted as a villain when he finally sticks up for himself from Chen, or just constant name calling from peers on school newsletters.

Insecure Lloyd just wants peace, a day that people like him, or even see him as the normal joe and show him a bit of stranger etiquette. He comes home drained shuffling to his room mumbling a hello to his mom and a nod to his father, that comes home for dinner. Laying his bag on the floor and falling face first into his pillow hoping the bad day would sink into his bed. Sometimes he wishes that he could do the same. Just sink in and never come out, but he knows that people don’t hate him for everything he does.

Insecure Lloyd finds peace when he’s out on patrol with his team doing ninja duties, hearing people excitedly look up at him as he beats up the next big villain brings purpose to his dark world. Seeing people post about his good deeds on social media is what makes him come back on the app. 

Seeing people idolize the Green Ninja gave insecure Lloyd the reason to get out of bed and deal with the people out in Ninjago city. 

Until he meets you,

You’re a transfer student from an all-girls boarding school. Used to living in a village in Jamanakai you weren’t used to a big city. It was overwhelming when students your age would come up to talk to you asking what it was like being in an all-girl school or to live in a small village. 

You spoke nervously as you tried to answer everyone in your class, the teacher seemed to notice and gives the grace of saving you. 

“Settle down class, I know a new student is exciting, so how about we show her around? For the first hour we have a free period. Do I have a volunteer to show our new friend around?” hands come flying up causing you to jump back. “Well, it seems we have plenty of volunteers~” your teacher sings as she smiles to you, “why don’t you pick, dear?” she pats your shoulder as she heads to her desk.

Oh geez,

You nervously scan the class as you didn’t want to upset or offend anyone with your picking. “Uh-um…” your eyes land randomly on a boy wearing a green hoodie staring out the window in the back of the class. You start walking up to him not seeming to have his attention yet as Lloyd didn’t expect anyone to approach him. 

“Uh-um, hi, can you show me around?” the class audibly gasp as even the teacher drops her coffee, you look around bewildered as Lloyd finally shoots up at the sudden shift in atmosphere.

Finally realizing you he looks around and points to himself unsure, “me?” you take a moment then nod your head assuring his uncertainty. Lloyd quickly gets up almost knocking down his chair, he curses nervously feeling he’s already making a bad impression. But when he looks up from steadying his chair, he sees your smile and a small chuckle that you try and hide behind your hand. 

It wasn’t a mocking laugh, or a pity smile, or fake! It was genuine, it made his cheeks warm and heart flutter. Puppy love visible in his eyes as he smiles at you as well nervously, when he finally gathers himself and walks out the classroom with you.

He shows you around the school and different rooms. It’s clubs and after school activities, at times Lloyd has to stop himself from taking second glances at you just to see your pretty smile, he’s never felt like this with anyone. 

You’re the first person to show him genuine kindness, sure you didn’t know him for who he was and relationship to his father. But that didn’t matter to him he just wants to talk to you more, so he boldly asks for your schedule, you smile as you hand it to him, peaking over his shoulder to see him scan your classes and lunch periods. His heart was gonna jump from his chest if you keep pressing against him.

“Oh, we have the same lunch!” he spoke a bit too excitedly as he shuts his mouth, you giggle, “really! That’s cool! Maybe we can talk some more during lunch!” it felt more like a question as you weren’t sure if Lloyd would be up for more of you. As you did choose him when he didn’t volunteer so you were hoping you weren’t getting on his nerves.

“Y-yea! I-I mean sure I don’t mind, sounds cool” he gives finger guns as starts walking backwards giving a nervous smile, when he turns around to stop facing you, he face palms himself. “That sounds great!” you follow him back to class noticing as free period was about to end, “Hey what’s your name?” you tilt your head to look at Lloyd’s blushing face as he finally lifts his head to face you. “I-It’s Lloyd” he plays with his hoodies string absentmindedly as he looks away from the corner of his eyes, you nod as you play with his name on your tongue.

“Okay, Lloyd! My names (y/n) let’s be friends!” smiling you walk beside him to class in comfortable silence. Lloyd however was racing thoughts in his head, a friend, he has a new friend! His smile gets bigger as he happily walks with a pep in his step alongside you. 

He never wants this feeling to go away!

You two spend more and more of your time together, both inside and outside of school. Lloyd is surprised at the fact of how you still don’t know about his reputation of being an overlord son.

You guys have been hanging out for a few months and nothing, the odd glares and flash of media that goes over your head you don’t ever notice. Or do you just not care?

Whatever it is Lloyd wants to keep it that way, 

“Hey, (y/n)! do you want to go and get some coffee?” Lloyd suggests as he stands by your locker. The school day had ended early for the beginning of spring break, “yea, I’m dying for something sweet~” you hum as you shut your locker having the last of your belongings before heading out with Lloyd.

“Mmm, but what about your friends? Don’t you have plans with them?” you met Lloyd’s friends the same week you met Lloyd, he introduced you to them and you all got attached to each other. 

“Oh, I’ll meet with them later” he shrugs and continues, you smile and grab your phone. “Okay, well my mom is asking for me, but it’ll totally be quick, I can message you when I’m done, and we can head to the café!” you hold out your phone showing your contact. It took Lloyd a moment to register what you said until he connects the dots, “y-you want my number?” he stutters out in disbelief his heart once again coming back to life.

“Yea! I-is that okay?” you nervously retract your phone in fear of overstepping, but in lightning speed Lloyd pulls out his phone and lets it scan your contact instantly putting in your number and information. 

You laugh as you both continue to walk,” Okay, Lloyd, I’ll see you then!” you hop onto your bus as you wave to him at the window. Lloyd looks down to his phone seeing your photo and number his cheeks grow red as he turns around a beat of excitement rushes through his body as he jumps.

Not caring if people stared or grumbled at Lloyd’s happiness, he could care less. Because now he had the girl of his dreams number!

After exchanging numbers, you and Lloyd would text nonstop, either about comics and manga, or new anime. Video games that were coming out, and new movies to see, it would go on to late at night to the morning before you guys would make plans to meet each other. He was constantly glued to his phone when you guys were a part,

“Uhp, there he goes again..” Jay teases as his team watches Lloyd take down a bad guy and sends a quick text to you,

“What, It’s my mom!” Lloyd shouts as he dodges another attack.  “Oh, yea when my mom calls, I send kissy faces to her~” Kai puckers his lips under his masks making kissing noises as the team laughs through the coms, Lloyd groans and rolls his eyes as they finally take down the last guy. 

“But seriously Lloyd, you’ve been getting distracted” Nya pops up behind him making Lloyd jump at her sudden appearance before sighing in defeat.

“Sorry, I don’t mean to bring you guys down.” Lloyd apologizes as his team comes around, “No way man, It’s awesome!” Kai shouts as he runs over to Lloyd as well, “seeing you happy and not mopey is great!” Kai continues as the team nods, “Yes, I as well have noticed your increase in mood Lloyd.” Zane drags the bad guys together as Cole ties them up nodding along silently. 

Lloyd blushes under his mask as he thanks the FSM that his friends can’t see, “so, who is she~” Kai slides up beside him as he wraps an arm around Lloyd who huffs a smile at his friends teasing. 

“No one just someone I met.” Lloyd tries to play it off as if they didn’t know who Lloyd spends majority of his time with.

“It is (y/n)” Zane interjects as if solving the riddle, Lloyd groans as his team giggles and ooo’s fall from their mouths. “haha! Yes!” Kai hops happily as they walk out from the alley to drop off the bad guys at the police station, “I knew it!” Nya adds on to her brother’s excitement as Jay smiles and Cole laughs. 

“How’d you know?” Lloyd jumps along the roofs with his team, “it’s not hard to piece you guys together, I mean c’mon man” Kai looks back as he grabs onto a pole to sit on dangling his legs.

He then flips back to see Lloyd who was upside down, “You two are always together” Kai grins as Lloyd pushes past him Kai pulls himself up as he continues. 

“You guys are so cute~” Jay coos as he too joins in on the teasing making Lloyd roll his eyes,  “Alright I get it, I suck at hiding my feelings” Lloyd huffs as they finally reach the police station and drop the criminals on an unsuspecting cop. He jumps in surprise until he looks up seeing the ninja turn back to the monastery,

“Suck at it? Dude your terrible!” Cole finally speaks as the team laughs at his joke, “ahhaha, you guys are hilarious” Lloyd grumbles as they finally take a break when they got far enough from the city.

Kai grips Lloyd’s shoulder removing his mask, “when are you gonna confess?” Kai had on a smirk not seeing Lloyd’s face drop under his mask and heart sinking. 

“Wh-what, no. no way, I can’t confess! She’ll hate me and she doesn’t even know who I am” Jay stops Lloyd’s ramble with his own shock, “she doesn’t know you’re a ninja!” Cole then comes beside him and smacks his head. “No dummy, Lloyd being Garmadons son.” Jay rubs his head from the heavy hit as Lloyd looks back, “well that too,” Jay sticks out his tongue at Cole as the earth ninja raises his fist to hit him again.

“No way, she’s totally into you, you guys are like attached to the hip” Kai wraps his arm around Lloyd taking off his mask finally seeing Lloyd’s emotions,

“But what if she doesn’t!” his anxiety was at its peak thinking about you rejecting him as he’d be losing you as not a lover but as a friend.

Kai looks away to try and find the right words landing on Nya who looked just as lost as he was. “Well, Nya you hang out with (y/n) all the time in science. What does she say about Lloyd” Nya hums in a hiding tone, “sorry that’s classified girl talk, I’d be tarnished as a woman to share (y/n) secrets” Kai huffs as he walks to Nya, “couldn’t tell, your more manly than me~” Kai teases being an older brother again as Nya laughs with him then splashes his face with water with an unamused expression.

Lloyd looks to the ground as Zane shuffles his way into the chaos, “what do you think Zane, do I have any chance with (y/n)?” Lloyd asks as a last-ditch effort. He watches Zane’s eyes glow and his body convulsing as it finds an answer to Lloyd’s question. 

“Calculating…” after a short second a ‘ding!’ sounds off, stating that Zane was done calculating. A piece of paper files from Zane’s mouth as the ninja gather around Lloyd.

“Hey that’s great!” Kai shouts as Jay and Cole pat Lloyd’s shoulder in congratulations, “What’s wrong Lloyd?” Nya tilts her head as she noticed Lloyd wasn’t as happy as the rest were. 

“It’s ninety nine percent.” Lloyd states as facts, “yea, perfect chance to me” Kai smiles as Nya shushes him letting Lloyd talk,

“That one percent, anything can happen in that one percent of me confessing to (y/n)” Zane nods as he interjects, “Lloyd is correct, (y/n) can find many reasons to not share intimate feelings with you, she could find out your relation to Garmadon, she could have a hatred for ninja. Or she could be attracted to the same sex.” “Hey Zane?” 

“Yes Nya-“ 

“Not helping.” 

Nya quickly shuts Zane up as they notice Lloyds defeated look, “Lloyd of course anything can happen, but you gotta look at the positive. There are plenty of reason why she could accept your confession!” his team nods,

“you’re both reader dorks!”

“She talks nonstop about you!”

“You both are together all the time.”

“You both are very cute together.”

“Calculations do not lie, Lloyd.” 

He looks up to his friends as he finally breaks for a small smile, “thanks guys, I guess, I just feel like. I finally have someone that I like outside of friends and family, it feels different when I look at them. I want to be by their side, and I want them to feel the same way that I do. I just don’t want to lose the only outside support that I truly have with her.” Lloyd’s friends start to hug him, “aww buddy” Jay squishes himself into the hug as Zane even joins in hearing the groans and heaves from his tight hold.

“But thanks, you guys. I really appreciate the words.” Lloyd huffs out as he was caught in the middle of a group hug. His friends laugh at his struggle as they finally loosen up, “no problem, man!” Kai pats his shoulder with a grin as Cole nods, “yea, we’re here for you!” “Always Lloyd.” Nya smiles kindly as Jay nods.

“Alright let’s head back before sensei gives us chores to do for being late.” Kai starts walking as the group follows,

“I’m hungry” Jay huffs at Cole, “You’re always hungry!”

Later that night Lloyd continues to text you when he got home, when he sits for dinner, his dad was with him. Garmadon coming home for dinner wasn’t new, after settling some things Koko felt comfortable enough to let him back into their lives. If he promises to not try and take over the city,

They negotiated once month takeover attempts.

Lloyd takes one last glance at his phone as he swoons seeing the last text of the night from you,

“’Goodnight! : )’”

Of course it wasn’t much to the average person, but every time Lloyd saw your good morning texts or goodnight texts. He’d feel so happy that you would take the time to wish him a good night.

It was obvious to Garmadon that his son was in his own space calling it la la land to Koko thinking his son was possessed when he would come home with a huge smile. But his ex-lover would only shake her head and grin at him and state he was in love, 

Garmadon squints his eyes at his son who was mixing his food with that same smile on his face.

He was glad that his son was happy, he just didn’t know how to communicate with him that was appropriate. Being out of the loop as a father for seventeen years has had him catching up on some things.

Garmadon whines to Koko stating his son wasn’t cool anymore going on as now all he wants to do is be on his phone, Koko puts a hand on her hip as she watches the feared overlord pout under her as he laid on the tile floor.

“You should talk to him then, get to know the girl he’s talking to and give advice, y’know like how a dad would.” Koko turns to cut vegetables for dinner as Garmadon hums as if pondering on Koko’s foreign words. He instantly gets up as if have a eureka moment. 

“Hmm, Yea, I’ll give him advice!” Koko hums as Garmadon looks for something else to do, she finally snaps from her trance, “w-wait, Garmadon no you suck at advice!” 

But too late, his mind was set as when Lloyd came home from patrol he would talk to him during dinner,

And here they were. Lloyd in front of Garmadon still playing with his food, Garmadon clears his throat causing Lloyd to look up arching a brow over his cowlick. 

“So, your mother has told me you’re interested in someone.” His bottom hands fold together as if having an important meeting with one of his generals, Lloyd groans, “ugh, mom dad’s bothering me!” Lloyd calls as Garmadon stands over the table in shock, “wha- nu-uh!” Lloyd squints at his father as he sinks into his chair as if to get away from an embarrassing conversation.

“Garmadon, don’t make me get the broom.” Koko calls from the kitchen, “Wha-but I didn’t do! He-“ Garmadon huffs as he flops back down on his chair giving up as he looks to his son again who was now eating quickly.

“I just notice how…happy you seem, that’s all” Lloyd stops shoveling food in his mouth as he swallows, taking in his father’s words, seeing Lloyd stops Garmadon takes the chance to continue. “I…enjoy it when I see you happy, I hope you continue to feel this way.” Garmadon peaks to see Lloyd’s smile. Lloyd knew his dad was trying to make up for lost years, and every effort he made caused Lloyd to want to be near him. 

“Thanks dad” Garmadon takes a moment to process as a smile grows on the overlords’ lips, it was a toothy happy smile. The genuine enjoyment of his son thanking him and calling him dad.

“y-you’re welcome…son” Garmadon looks down at his plate as he scratches the table his smile still big.

There was a comfortable silence between the two, the only noises were the scrapes of Lloyd’s fork on his plate. 

“So, was that her texting?” Garmadon breaks it with more questions Lloyd sighs “yea, it was… she texted me ‘goodnight’” there was that la la land smile again as Garmadon hummed as if thinking of something that was upsetting him. He wanted to keep the comment to himself, but it slipped out,

“hm, probably to text other guys.” He mumbles out sassily,

And down went Lloyd’s mood plummeting, Koko wasn’t far as an audible gasp sounded from the kitchen fueling Lloyd’s sudden appropriate change of mood.

“Garmadon! Why did you say that you idiot!” Koko instantly got her spatula and smacked the back of Garmadon’s head. 

“Ack! What it’s true! It’s 7:30pm what person goes to bed at this hour?” Garmadon rubs his head as he squints at Koko, 

“People that have lives and don’t spend all night scheming to take over a CITY!!” Koko screeches her frustrations at her idiotic ex-husband as Lloyd slips under the table hearing another thwack and a groan from the overlord.

Later that night Lloyd sat in his room staring down at his phone, the ‘goodnight’ stared right back at him.

He sighs as he turns over, staring up at his ceiling, he drags his hands down his face with a groan thinking back on his dad’s words. He really had no filter, knowing this Lloyd probably should’ve expected something like that to fly out his mouth.

But damn did it hit hard.

Were you really texting other people?

He wouldn’t blame you if you were though, Lloyd thought about so many reasons as to why you would.

He could be boring you,

Annoying you, 

You might’ve wanted to talk to someone that didn’t have red eyes,

Or sharp teeth or was the son of an overlord.

Insecure Lloyd being insecure again. He forces his hands down as a tired sigh escapes his lips again as he rolls over one last time to go to sleep. 

Closing his eyes, he thinks of anything that would be better than this, anything that will take his mind off his constant worrying and sinking pit feelings.

Or the anticipation in his heart for you to text him again. But those were only thoughts, so he decides to sleep to continue his bullishness thoughts-

‘briing’ ‘briing’

Lloyd’s eyes shot up as he lifts his body up to search for his phone that was under the covers, looking down at it he sees your contact. He pauses for a moment as he ruffles his hair squinting at his phone as if the bright light was lying to him about who was calling. 

He clears his throat, he has never spoken to you on the phone before, but he knew his phone was ringing a bit too long so instead of worrying he slides the green dial and answers the phone.

“…Hello?”

“h-hey, Lloyd” it’s like Lloyd could hear your smile, as in turn he as well, the dark clouds disperse as he lays back down.

“Hey.” He couldn’t say anything else but a greeting, so happy that you called him, you giggle on the other line sending him soaring to cloud nine. 

“’m sorry for calling you, I didn’t know who else to call.” Lloyd could hear something moving in the background, were you now getting into bed?

“No no, it’s fine. I thought you were going to bed?” he inhales deeply as he turns over putting his phone on speaker, but still low enough so it didn’t wake his mom who was next door.

“I was, but I couldn’t” it was too vague for Lloyd to understand,

“What?” he asks as he hears a soft sigh fall from the other line, once again he hears fiddling in the background. Were you nervous about something?

“(y/n), is everything okay?” Lloyd asks unsure if he should be worried about your sudden call.

“n-no! everything is fine. I’m sorry, I’m just being stupid” you laugh softly, 

“Don’t say that, you’re not stupid, at least, you can’t be more stupid than me~” he jokes as you both quietly laugh.

Your laughter dies down, “…you’re smart too, especially in history” Lloyd’s face turns pinks as he hums. “You’re not bad at science” he compliments as well, 

You huff, “I tryy” you whine as Lloyd chuckles. “So, why did you call me again?” there was a pause on the other end.

It was long to where Lloyd thought you had hung up,

“I just, really wanted to hear your voice.”

It was simple, your voice quiet to where if Lloyd hadn’t paid attention, he would’ve missed it. But he heard it, and so did his heart. 

“Oh.” Was all he could say, his face red and heart stuttering, butterflies running wild and head spinning. 

“S-sorry, I don’t sleep well by myself, I used to call my friend, but she isn’t available. S-so I thought, maybe you’d be up. I just really wanna talk to someone, I don’t want to be alone.”

Like a river it came flowing down, your face completely red as you squeaked out each word. Wishing that Lloyd had that on recording just so he could hear each word repeated.

“Oki, let’s talk” Lloyd spoke so calmly as if his face wasn’t about to explode if you said anything else his heart might explode with it. 

“Oki” your smile grows bigger, “how is your night?” you ask starting conversation, Lloyd grins,

“It’s better now that you called.”

You guys have been talking for hours, mainly Lloyd leading with things that he likes, it got deeper as you both spoke about fears. Even Lloyd shed some light to his insecurities, it made him feel better to confide in someone to talk about what he worries about and for them to do the same. It was as if you two were taking each other’s garbage and throwing it out together, soon Lloyd is quiet for a little bit a comfortable silence hits the both of you. 

It was going on for a while as Lloyd assumed you went to sleep, your phone then hangs up. Lloyd had heard feet walking into your room and an older women’s voice presuming to be your mom stating how you must have fallen asleep on the phone.

Lloyd smiles down at his phone as he too closes his eyes, warm and fluffy feelings enter his chest. Falling asleep he decides to call you tomorrow morning to wish you a good morning text this time.
