Sunset
The sun setting in the west, bringing rows and rows.
Oranges and pinks.
That flowed and flowed.
Like a painter at their easel.
Painting stroke by stroke.
It goes on a canvas,
a painting it showed.
The brush dipped in paint, the color, bold.
Bright orange and pink as it goes.
An image was made.
An elaborate portrait.
It adorned the sky.
In a sapphic canvas.
am the sunset.
The pink and the orange. The white in the middle.
Pride flows through me,
and makes up who am.
I'm unapologetically me
and unapologetically queer. The pink, orange and white,
a part of my identity.
A completed portrait,
a reflection of what it is to me. Pride is who am,
the community that accepts me.

If your "god" is the only thing keeping you from committing heinous acts, I don't think you should be allowed in a civilized society. At all. Do you realize just how INSANE that sounds? I don't go killing people because, news flash, I DON'T WANT TO KILL PEOPLE. "God" does not have to stop me because there is NOTHING TO STOP.
