It's movie night in the Hamato household and you're invited! April said you didn't have a choice, so here you are contemplating on wearing something comfortable or something cute.

You shake your head, grinning at your phone as you send your last message to April.

You finish getting ready and grab your overnight bag, heading over to the lair. The clattering and chattering in the kitchen tells you that the brothers would be in there, but you spot Donnie alone on his phone in the projection room. He seems comfortable enough not to wear his battle shell, which you find surprising. You take a step toward him and he looks up, turning to you as you put your stuff down beside the couch. He stops, staring while you move to sit beside him, even though you already greeted him, waiting for his response.

"Uh, yes. H-hello. Greetings. Good evening."

He looks away, then looks at you out of the corner of his eye. You grin and lean in with a smirk. He blushes, then a nervous smile plasters itself on his face. "D-do you need anything from me?" Donnie asks politely, but his eyes darted everywhere, scanning you as if he is committing the way you look right now to memory.

"A kiss might be nice."

The softshell freezes and it looks like his brain is malfunctioning, his face warming at the thoughts racing through his mind.

"May I?"

He reaches up to cup your soft face in his hand. His fingers twitch as if he's holding himself back from holding you firmly. You nod with a whispered yes, leaning in for a delicate, soft kiss. The softshell perks up and a dopey smile spreads across his face after you part, then he leans in for a deeper kiss, the heat on both your faces burning a little hotter.

"Your lips taste so good," Donnie breathes, threading his fingers through your hair at the base of your skull, holding you close as the two of you made out on the couch. "So sweet for me..." He whines, his blush darkening his face even more while he reaches for you with his other hand, holding you against him. His fingers knead the plushness above your hip for a moment, the hitching in his breath apparent. After another minute or so the two of you officially part, noticing the lair has gotten quiet.

You turn around to find nearly everyone with their jaws dropped to the floor, eyes boggled. Donnie sneers, wrapping an arm around your waist to hold you against him possessively. The way his hand grips your tummy made you yelp, feeling embarrassed now that the two of you were caught. April snaps a picture, Leo snickers, Mikey cheers, and Raph narrows his eyes in suspicion, then smiles, proceeding to whack Leo upside the head before he moves over to tease Donnie. The Caseys walk in with two bowls of popcorn, Junior has a knowing look on his face while CJ looked on in confusion to the commotion. You sigh with a grin, shaking your head and relaxing in Donnie's arms as movie night started to kick off.

It was your idea, knowing your favorite loser in blue was a fan of singing. Sure, he said you could pick what the two of you would be doing, but you weren't exactly against going to karaoke; it'd just be you and him. When the night came, though, and you were there, you got self conscious. On an actual stage was somehow easier, singing for strangers who you didn't know and wouldn't be seeing again, but here in the private room with only Karamatsu, it made you anxious.

So you let him start, and have a few more songs after that, enjoying his performances and trying to ignore the building tension in your chest. In between songs he'd offer you to go next, and you'd bite your lip and wave a hand, saying you were still thinking of what to sing. After so long, Karamatsu finally picked for you, taking your hand and standing you with him.

"We're a thousand miles from comfort,"

He started, letting go to grab the second mic.

"We have traveled land and sea,"

The mic got placed in your hand, while he gave you an encouraging nod.

"But as long as you are with me,"

Taking your free hand in his,

"There's no place I'd rather be."

He spun you under his arm, making you chuckle at his flourish.

"I would wait forever, exalted in the scene,"

He continued, tapping a foot to the beat of the song before pulling you back close.

"As long as I am with you, my heart continues to beat."

Letting go, he did his own spin before moonwalking, making you snort when he winked at you.

"With every step we take, Kyoto to the bay, strolling so casually."

"We're different and the same, gave you another name, switch up the batteries."

Singing from where he stood across the room, he lowered his head and pointed at you dramatically for you to pick up the song.

And you did. Watching him continue to be his dramatic silly self made your nerves dissipate.

"If you gave me a chance, I would take it!"

Your voice came out strong, and he lifted his head, startled for only a moment before his smile widened in amazement.

"It's a shot in the dark, but I'll make it,"

It was easy to match his pretend stage presence, reaching a hand out before pulling it back in as a fist.

"Know with all of your heart, you can't shake me!"

Karamatsu came in, shaking his head once.

"When I am with you, there's no place I'd rather be!"

When you sang the end of the chorus, you could see him melt in adoration, making your own heart flutter. The two of you had a blast singing the rest of the song, Karamatsu cheering your vocal runs and you laughing with pure joy when he'd take your hand to dance. You had just closed your eyes to sing the bridge when you felt gravity flip, and upon opening them you were met with Karamatsu smiling like he had the world in his arms. Really, he just had you in a dip, but if that expression didn't make fireworks go off in your brain you'd be lying.

You kissed him when the music soared with the final chorus, wrapping your arms over his shoulders. He dropped his microphone to return the kiss, a hand in your hair, the other still around your waist. The song was practically over when you separated.

if you're a criminal he might talk you down from doing crime first, if you don't listen to him though he will kick your ass

but back to if you're a regular person in new york– if you were in danger he would most likely defend you

and if you insist on keeping him company because he saved your life, he might get a little shy and embarrassed

are you hungry ? he'll get you an order of pizza gyozas as soon as possible

you're one of the few humans he's ever met, it's a little hard for him to socialise with you at first but then gets the hang of it

if you're interested in any of the things he's interested in he will ask about it

he might infodump about space heroes if you're not careful

if you let him, he might develop a silly little crush on you

if he hadn't been with mona at all or they broke up or whatever, he might be bored enough to have you around for company

he might end up venting to you if you listen to him for long enough

raph feels as though he's never listened to and to have someone so ready and willing to hear him ramble, it comforts him

you might become his favourite friend after a night of talking and getting to know one another

he also would like it if you wanted to watch him train and cheer him on, it helps dissolve his insecurities

depends how you react to him when it comes to you being a civilian

as for you being a criminal ? he'd ask you why, how, when– he wants every little detail about the crime you're committing and the context behind it. he might not even want to kick your ass at all, maybe he just wants to talk.

now, if the turtle's saving your life and you're grateful like a normal person, thanking him and going on your merry way, he'd be proud of himself for handling whatever you tangled yourself with on his own.

if you make out his save as a knight-in-shining-armour-saving-his-princess situation ? he would get all flustered and embarrassed, falling for you hard if you give him any semblance of affection as thanks.

the mutant is starved for affection after all the years he's pined and yearned. crushing should be his middle name and it's not for crushing his enemies.

spending the rest of the night talking to him would probably mean him checking for wounds or if you got hurt.

Yknow, the more I think about it the more it drives me crazy how, in AUs where all of the doomed future turtles get saved and sent to the past, April always gets left behind. Like, she survived to the very end right along with Fleo and F!Mikey, outlived F!Raph and F!Donnie, most likely sacrificed herself to give Casey Jr time to get injured Fleo somewhere safe at the beginning of the movie... just to be forgotten about in AUs and like...😥
