life is weird because one minute you're 13 wondering if you'll ever see the age of 18 and the next you're 28 and excited to go shopping for lamps
the mood is missing art museums and brown sugar boba :(
I miss walking through museums and going to get iced coffee afterwards, mind full of centuries of history.
do the dishes
make your bed
read a book in silence
get the groceries for one or two meals
have a beer
go for a walk
(get a phone call from nobody)
follow a cat through the neighborhood
do the laundry
change your sheets
sit on your couch and listen to a full album
take a shower
sit on your balcony at night
go to a diner alone and have a bite to eat
watch people from afar
take a train to the next town
call an old friend
clean your room or house
take a nap
have a cup of tea
paint or draw
air out the room
stretch or do yoga
(* murakami’s descriptions of his protagonists’ day to day lives always seem so mundane and calming to me that I thought I’d list a few activities that fit right in and might calm me, too.)

ahhhh my heart 🎀😭
i was at a party organized by my uni last week and (not) very sober™️ and for some reason the cocktail names where all italian brain rot characters. a guy behind me was trying to explain to his date the back story of tralalero tralala and mistakenly said it was a crocodile. being the insufferable person i am, i turned around and very soberly said that no tralalero tralala is a shark and the guy legit got the most shocked expression on his face as he started panicking over giving his date false information but at the same time he was super excited that someone irl knew wtf he was talking about lmao
things that should be completly normal:
not going to uni
taking as much time as needed before going to uni
changing your majors many times before finding what you like
changing your career path
not knowing what you want
attending a community college
valuing your health over your grades
