taang in the comics part 1 they look so good together even tho theyre arguing
tbh i have rlly mixed feelings about the comics. ESPECIALLY about the rift. Like on one hand, I enjoy having extra content about the characters. On the other hand, the whole comic was so bad. Like that is NOT my toph wtf. She has never been disrespectful about Aang's culture—to my knowledge, whenever Aang meditates, Toph is the only one who's been quiet. She also isn't against spirituality?? She literally spent her old years in the swamp, a place that is spiritual in itself. And she is actually quite knowledgeable about the philosophical aspect of bending, such as talking about its not only a power, but a way of life. Also, she has NEVER been this mean?? Aang is literally her first friend, she would never be cruel like this. She's snarky and pushes him to stand his ground, but she's never been like this. Also her very first dialogue in the Rift is an immediate red flag.
"Fire Nation alongside Earth Kingdom...You really think those people will get along well enough to govern this place, Twinkletoes?"
Like?? Okay maybe its possible to have doubts, but her expression and the way this is phrased implies she clearly doesn't believe it and is lowkey disdainful of it. Is this the same Toph who advocated to have Zuko join their team?? The same Toph who befriended Iroh, had tea with him in the middle of the war, and was friendly and welcoming to him in Ba Sing Se even after knowing he's part of the Fire Nation Royal Family??? that is NOT my girl omg
Aang...Imma be honest, the comics with this artstyle are the ones he's actually in-character for. That's why he's kinda insufferable in these im ngl. Imbalance Aang was SOOOO good, but he was clearly way better in that comic compared to the show. Show Aang is the same Aang as the GLY comics,, which is probably why I don't like him there LMAO
Antonio, talking about a beach house: My wife usually uses this place but Mommy's out of town so I get to use it! Gilbert: ...You call Emma mommy?? Antonio: Is..Is that a bad thing? Francis: Well it's kinky. Arthur: [seriously wishes he wasn't in this conversation right now]

Name: Yao Wang Specialty: N/A Place of Origin: Konikoni, Akala Island Team: Pancham(main), Shiny Gyrados, Ninetails, Mienshao, Infernape, Delphox Not used for battle: Steenee, Comfey, Audino
Yao grew up with his father, Luomen, never straying outside the city of Konikoni. He found purpose in medicine, working under the guidance of his father, the owner of Akala's apothecary, who taught him extensively in the field. Accompanied by his loyal Pancham, whom he has raised from infancy and carries on his shoulder wherever he goes, Yao has honed his skills as a doctor. However, when the apothecary was on the verge of bankruptcy, Yao decided to enter into Astral's Final Test to become a trainer in order to raise money. Having been doing medical work his whole life, to try something new was surprisingly exhilarating. He was given his unique Pokeballs by a cheerful blonde was too loud for Yao's taste, who befriended him and was later revealed to be Alfred. Yao decided to join Alfred's team (the Allies) and travel with them as a trainer, sending money back home to his father every time he won a battle. Eventually, he rose to the position of director of Astral Institute's medical sector, putting him in charge of every Pokemon Center, where Yao dedicates himself to providing care and healing to Pokemon and trainers alike. He liked to pretend as if he was only doing this for the money, but he genuinely enjoyed battling, evident with how despite his healing profession, he was still a rather formidable member of the Elite Four. Fueled with thoughts of his father all alone in Konikoni, Yao ascended the ranks at rapid speed, winning every single battle with his intelligence and quick-thinking. He was the strategic sort of trainer, who only used the most effective moves and whose Pokemon was quick on their feet, always emerging from a battle relatively unscathed.
Where I show my love for Alfred, RusAme, the FACE fam, and Hetalia in general
