its not much but yk how on most roadtrips you rotate between drivers so one person isnt driving the whole time? yeah well tgat doesnt happen here, peter drives the whole time. its not just that though; all pf them have their own little spot and theres an unspoken agreement that everyone stays in their spot. so example elias rides shotgun the whole time, simon rides in the back on the drivers side, etc.

oh also simon is that little bitch who annoys everyone (mostly peter though) by going “are we there yet” every five seconds 💀

i’m so tired of authors not tagging correctly because they don’t want to “spoil the fic”

correctly tagging your fic allows readers who DON’T want to read things like major character death, gore, mpreg or whatever may be their squick to filter your fic out from the main ship/fandom tag. not including the correct tags on your fic is harmful to readers and i’m tired of pretending it’s not.

I feel like we really lost something when we started looking at writing as a reader-centric product meant to appeal to the desires of a specific audience rather than a writer-centric approach of someone writes whatever particular thing particular compels them/whatever weird thing the demons in their head want to talk about, and people out there who are also compelled, and/or relate, find that writing. A lot of discussions of writing really center around what readers want rather than a writer's exploration. Sometimes as a reader I don't know what I want. I click on a fic or pick up a book I'm not sure about but that looks interesting, and I love it. Reading what I expect to get is it's own joy, but we always need to expand our horizons and not get mad at creators for not always writing what we want/expect.
