I was watching a food theory video talking about how to get the most out of buffets and it mentioned leptin and ghrelin and all I could think was "those sound like cats" and now we have Leptin and Ghrelin.

you know all those fics where everyday Jon visits like an ally cat near the institute? I have a pretty sad headcannon that is basically that, but after the worms start showing up outside the institute Jon gets so caught up in his work that he forgets to go feed the cat, and when he finally remembers to, the cat's been eaten by worms.
