You, the greatest superhero there is.
And me. Your faithful partner.
Bonus:
Sometimes chat noir forgets he's not a real cat with real cat problems
I haven't slept in like 2 days not the point I have the fantastic idea that Kuina would play a sort of cupid at the beach. She’d pair up couples left and right and centre. the catch? she pairs up the worst possibly star signs imaginable because if they fail she 1) gets good drama ( it isn't like TV is available) and 2) can ‘prove’ to chishiya that star signs are real
Random thought but what if all the miraculous holders where disabled. And no this isn’t going to be a ‘wow magic fixes it’ type of idea cuss those are rooted in ableism. Buy imagine if instead of earnings the ladybug miraculous is like hearing aids, imagine if the chat miraculous is a white cane (a Barton looks similar enough ok). Maybe th horse one is like one of those missing leg replacements that look very springy. And they all work as they should and then when transformed they’ve obviously got their normal show power and obviously still have their normal disabilities but maybe becuse chat has no eyesight the miraculous shifts it’s power away from the fancy dark vision to maybe better hearing or a way to detect wind currents go sorta ‘see’ where your going. Small things like that ya know?
There must be an avatar who was dating a bender from each nation. They got a girlfriend who can bend earth, a boyfriend who bends water, a bro (romantically) who bends fire and a honey (romantically) who bends air.
They must, it’s the only way to truly ensure balance amongst the elements
Monk gyatso? no no no more like Monk GYATTso.
thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night.
Happy Halloween!
what if batman is just a miraculous holder and he just turns on the news and sees “two new superheroes are on the seen saving Paris from a super villain” and just goes “whelp my life's easier” and never thinks about it again other than how stupid their outfits look
I get that the Doyel episodes are like...Emily centric or whatever. But In lauren it has SUCH a sweet arc for Derek. From being angry that Emily never revealed the truth, feeling almost ashamed that she could never trust him, to confessing that he is proud of her as she DIES in his arms? Like okay she doesn't die, but from his understanding she is close to death and then DOES eventually 'die'. Like that transition is insane and it's so in character.
He's always has a more logical way of treated the unsubs and the people in cases with the ocasional diversion from this treatment. He's also very heavy in his ideas of trust and family. And he puts all that aside and focuses on that one idea of family, because it doesn't matter about being logical in this instant, all that matters is that she understands that even arfter everything that has happened she is still his family and his friend. They can work this out in the future, but for that to happen she has to stay clinging to life and its just...It's really sweet. Sometimes I write Derek off as having a very lacking character arc compared to other characters but I think I'm very wrong about that, its subtle but its consistent and common in the episodes.
A lot of peoples defenses for the live action start with "its an adaptation it's not gonna be the exact same show" and like...duh??? Most people who are writing criticisms for the show aren't criticizing it because it's a bad adaptation alone, they point out flaws that come down to it just being a bad show. Adaptations are tricky to get right because they are essentially a professional fanfiction retelling, you have to work out what is the most important parts to carry across the main theme, sometimes that means you have to change the characters personalities or even arcs. We understand that. Many successful adaptations get that (think lord of the rings, or [i'm sorry to say this] harry potter. or even better yet good omens!). Why do those adaptations work then? because they adapt and write a fluid story BASED on that original work. It's there, USE IT.
The live action doesn't work for me because it fails to write its own story well. The exposition dumps, the clunky dialog between characters, the pacing. It feels like a rough draft and not a final product. Like there is SO much potential in this show and I really hope it gets a season 2 with a larger budget and a couple more episodes because I want them to do well. There's a couple of really cute small things that are so interesting like Zuko having those avatar dolls or Sokka and Suki first training together and her correcting his form. I want more of this and less of them just dumping future lore on me for no reason. It would really help them narratively if they just let some things remain a mystery to new audiences.
I both love and hate Oedipus Rex because the end is so stupid.
The whole play is (in one interpretation!) about self-identity and the battle between knowing who we are and how we are percieved by ourselves and the world around us. You'd expect for Oedipus to end the play fully relalized and yet...
By blinding himself, which, yes it is out of guilt and is a form of self-flagellation, but it also acts as a way to continue ignoring who he is. Without eyes he cannot see his children, the genetic abominations, nor does he have to see the world he has helped corrupt. He can continue to live in bliss. In his blindness he does not become Tiresias- he is not a prophet- he is just a pathetic man as scared as us to see himself in the mirror.
the least funny idea in my brain rn is that the vampire council had to impose flying trafic lights because vampires kept crashing in the air and falling to the ground. They run off mage magic and have bi-monthly inspections (where a mage sits on the back of a vampire for a very uncomfortable couple of hours). Tbf this also implys that vampires have to pay taxes to keep the traffic lights working and also that vampire insurance might exist but thats lame. I like to think the council see it as an investment since sky trafic laws means less falling vampires which means less news sites they have to pay to keep silent. It also stops fues from starting.
