After 3 years of waiting and a long, hard week I finally got to watch phantom of the opera 1925 in theaters with a live accompanist. Let me tell you I felt God in that room
Thinking abt how much I love physical media lately. I don't think streaming services can replace the feeling of an actual, physical copy that I can hold in my hands, especially when I think about the box sets of shows I've had since childhood, lost their covers, corners are scuffed, etc. Same goes for comics - I have a handful of original printed comics and just being able to see the ads from the era makes me so happy lol. The ADS. I am NEVER happy to see an ad in the middle of an episode I'm watching on a streaming service!! Ik everyone's joking about DVDs making a comeback bc streaming services are getting worse but please I am all for it. I hoard those. They are mine forever, unlike a paid subscription. They can pry my 20 year old DVDs from my cold dead hands.
The photo is not very good and I still need to wash and iron it, but I couldn't wait to show my first ever big cross stitch project;
Love how it turned out, especially with the green embroidery thread (cotton thread on linen)
Bring back "the Lord works in mysterious ways"
I dont normally do cosplay (this was technically my first lol) but here's me in the chell outfit I made last summer!! I just got around to taking photos of it :'D I also made a little Wheatley since then!! He lights up and everything <3
Some sketches of alfred molina doc ock from last week.... I'm running out of funny captions to make it seem like my fixation with spiderman is just a casual interest.... help.......
THANK YOU!! Yes, the GS Collectors Guide is the book I have! I appreciate the link to the collection of catalogs, my historical society had a few but not from the years I was looking for. I love looking at the old catalogs and mail-in forms anyways! Glad to know the kerchief was a pick and choose thing too, I thought as much. I was going to pick a yellow one for my uniform because it seems like a classic color for a gs uniform. Very glad that people still are interested in old girl scout stuff!!
Hey are you actually interested in the history of Girl Scout uniforms because man oh man do I have some resources for you.
Yes. Yes I am. I dug through three whole boxes of girl scout stuff in my historical society's attic. I'm planning on doing an exhibit of the uniforms they have at some point. I haunt their attic for free.
Seriously though any resources would be helpful!! When looking online I found pretty much just summarized short versions of the history of GS uniforms from 1920-1960, nowhere near enough. However in my historical society's attic they had a book meant for collectors, and it had every badge and uniform and rank, and they were organized precisely by year which was quite a relief when putting together my 1939 GS outfit. But! That's the most I've found. One thing I haven't been able to find out is why some scouts had red kerchiefs, and some scouts had yellow ones. Doesn't seem to be because of rank, is it just troops' choice like the crest???? Idk if anyone can help me answer that one it'd be much appreciated lol
It's my birthday,,,,, i'm turning 21,,,,,,,,,, I didn't have any motivation to draw today so heres a scooby from last month when I got back into whats new scooby doo..... I discovered that all the episodes were free on my tv and was FERAL with excitement, I felt like I was 7 again lol. I love scooby doo I would die for scooby doo. 70% of my heart is taken up by scooby doo
uh. star wars character I never plan to use but wanted to make anyways. She's a former padawan who flunked the trials and was a mechanic for a bit, she's a nautolan/human hybrid. I used to be the most FORMIDABLE clone wars nerd, take my word for it <3
she/her ⟡ 21 ⟡ artist, always sfw!! currently stuck in a spider-man phase :/
