Question For Fic Readers!

Little Snippet of what I'm working on right now :)

"Alright, kid." George crouched down to be at eye level for Theo. "When you get on the ice, what are you gonna do?"

"win." Theo adjusted his gloves.

"And what are you gonna do if someone tries to stop you?" Mémé asked.

"Destroy them!"

"That's my matnaggewinu (fighter)!" She cheered.

George patted Theo's shoulders. "Make 'em cry, kid."

I love this family so much, hopefully nothing bad happens to it-

anyway I'm trying to not be so focused on his backstory because I know people mostly want to read (and what I'm the most excited to write) is him in the Justice League and eventually the batfam, but I'm also trying to make sure you get to learn more about him as a character and a person and not just a traumatized teen hero.

things that have happened since Duke got taken into the Batfam:

everyone takes off their shoes when they enter the manor (Alfred is thrilled)

there is now a pouch in everyone's utility belt/inventory for lotion, Vaseline, and chapstick

an adult shouts "no running in the house!" and/or "either you're inside or outside!" to Damian and Jon at least once a week

"you smell like outside" is followed by a literal fire hose spraydown

someone has gotten woken up early on a Saturday/Sunday by loud music and the smell of lemon cleaning chemicals (Alfred is thrilled)

Damian is "twelve" everytime they go to a movie theater or amusement park

Bruce, Dick, Barbara, and Steph have been told to "just bring drinks" to the family cookouts

so can we start hunting down white liberals now or what

opinions from fic readers

Hello! I am currently writing a DC oc insert fic that follows the oc's life leading up to and after joining the justice league. I have already decided that because everything is from his perspective and English is his 4th language that the reader also has to struggle to understand what people are saying to him in English and then as his English improves both he and the reader understand what other people are saying better.

My question is similarly along these lines. The biggest way that he deals with the traumatic events throughout the story is with memory loss. Specifically centered around the events that led to him gaining his powers. From a reader's perspective would you rather read everything that happens and have an omniscient view or have the exact same view as the character and only learn more as his memories resurface?

I think a lot of what pro-AI people are really wanting is stuff that already exists but they don't know it's out there like

me, when I first posted FHDT: I'm gonna upload chapters every Monday. I'll work on the fic all the time. Constantly. Even in class because I figured out a way to do that.

me now: It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't finished writing chapter 2

I can not put into words how obsessed I am with the fic I am currently working on. It's the Justice League OC insert but I also just keep convincing myself that I could publish it?? For some reason?? I am however way too dedicated to the fanfic communtiy to do that 😭

Anyway, I'm going to start posting more stuff about it soon I swear!! Its just that I have to actually get my shit together first
