Warning, I am not very good at writing my thoughts so this is a little all over the place.

There’s something so sweet and childlike about the reveal of Lily and James’ death. You have this 11 year old boy who’s gone his whole life being abused and unwanted. He has no memories of his parents and the only thing he really knows is they died in a car accident. Petunia and Vernon barely talked about them but when they did it was always with distraste. Even with all that, Harry still has love for his parents and at some point in his life likely fantasized about being able to grow up with them instead. He then finds out that they died not only to save him, but they were apart of this great magical world that would let him escape from this abuse. Believing that your parents will always be there to come and rescue you is something so innocent. Harry getting to experience that is so beautiful.
