ok so theres a ring of lighter glow (colour depends on the chamber colour, so it looks orange in the gif) but those legs do not glow

Ok So Theres A Ring Of Lighter Glow (colour Depends On The Chamber Colour, So It Looks Orange In The

it only looks like theyre glowing because of the dark aura around his head moving further away from it his puppet does seem to glow though (vaguely.(unless its meant to be his think-ring making the chamber glow idfk)) so question answered well enough thank you loremaster iteratorsex

(you can see it in spearmaster's campaign too but. thats downpour. so. vanilla projections) why she glow and not pebbles

Seniority mark, I would presume. Also pebbles *kind of* has a glow, but its orange (seen in first gif) with a dark aura around him thats similar to the hologram projections (seen in 2nd gif)

Hey dude. I noticed that you seem to be having a lot of symbolic association with the ouroboros icon and I just wanted to know if you were like. ok. or like, that you're experiencing time linearly and not stuck in an eternal loop of the same events.

"Pebbles explicitly states that his rot can't spread outside of his structure"

what?? when????? like its heavily implied by the fact that his rot dies when it can't feed off of him but where does he ever say this

does.. does anyone know where in the timeline The Watcher takes place?? I’d really, really love to know

Because I sure don’t. I finished the game, unmodded (mostly) in ONE DAY.(Except for an hour or so, but that was just me wandering around. ~8-12 hrs just playing. Straight)

And I still don’t get it

I finished it ljke 2 days after it came out

What

Someone help me in the reblogs PLEAAASE

*ᵗʰᵉʳᵉ ᵃʳᵉ ⁿᵒ ˢᵖᵒᶦˡᵉʳˢ ᶦⁿ ᵗʰᶦˢ ᵖᵒˢᵗ

Words cannot express how much the Rainworld Watcher DLC means to me. They cannot express the amount of love and joy I have being able to experience this game for the first time again.

It was 7 or 8 years ago when I originally stumbled upon Rain World, growing somewhat in love with what I saw through Markiplier's (very short and limited) gameplay. It was stuck in the back of my mind until 2019 rolled around and I started seeing it around again - particularly in Icey's multiplayer playthrough (a series I frequently rewatch and hold dear to me). 2020 was when I would finally get the game for myself, soon beating it after over 50 hours of gameplay.

Having been roughly 5 years worth of obsession, I played through this game to its fullest and took in any and every video I saw as well. It got to the point where I could probably beat the game in pitch darkness due to my memory of the map - which I've been doing recently, actually.

This game has been the core of my personality for these past few years - I had bought dozens of copies of the game for friends, just so I could have people to talk to about it. If people had questions regarding lore, mechanics, or the story, they would go to me and ask me questions about it. It feels so good seeing new people get into the game with so much wonder and curiosity, something I had so desperately missed from when I originally beaten the game.

Rain World Downpour was great to see, but it didn't feel entirely *new.* The regions were mostly the same, taking place in different points in time, and the gameplay loop felt similar to what I had been used to. Not to say this was bad in any means, it was great, actually! Just something I was used to.

But The Watcher. Ougdhh... The Watcher. It felt like I was truly playing the game again for the first time, as I had absolutely no idea what to see or expect within the lands I traveled to and from. There are dozens of new creatures I keep discovering, tons of different foods and mechanics I didn't even consider being a possible addition to this game. I had gotten two of the endings so far and bawled my eyes out when I woke up thinking about it. It was so, so fucking good.

The fact that I can now sit with the friends I got into Rain World in the first place and actually discuss what we're seeing and what regions we're currently in?? The fact I'm discovering routes and enemies for the first time again, actually being able to *ask* questions, rather than just being there to answer them. It's so, so fucking impactful for me.

Also, the fact I've gotten two of the endings so far and there's still at least one I haven't seen or heard? The fact that my friends are still bringing up things they have seen and interacted with that I haven't even witnessed once?? There are flora, fauna, and entire fucking regions I haven't even looked at yet because of how massive this DLC is. It is. Amazing.

Reminder that the only reason "hermaphrodite" is even used in biology is because some zoologists a couple hundred years ago were were too lazy to come up with a new term to talk about how snails reproduce, and instead opted to compare them to intersex people. (Which were, at the time, ONLY called hermaphrodites. The word intersex didn't exist yet.)

Hermaphrodite has referred to intersex people since before we knew what a gamete was.

It wouldn't fucking kill you to use cosexed/cosexual, dichogamous, monoecious, gonosimulite, or whatever else to talk about animal species that have dual reproductive function. You don't need to contribute to a slur for us staying normalized.

Loaches Are By Far My Favorite Creature To Be Introduced In This DLC. It Reminds Me A Lot Of Joar's Old

Loaches are by far my favorite creature to be introduced in this DLC. It reminds me a lot of Joar's old concept art, which may have to do with their visual similarity to the Rain Deers.

This possible connection and the alpha-inspired rooms make me wonder if Desolate Tract's whole theme was based on reusing old concepts. Even if it's by pure chance, I'll take it contentedly.

Hopefully we might see more new creatures added in future updates, with the slight chance that those drone creatures shown in Iggy's projections will make an appearance. Though it was probably hand-drawn to add to the mystery of the world, like with other projections.

There's A Variation Of Coral Stem Called "CoralStemWithNeurons" Which As The Name Implies Is A Bundle

there's a variation of coral stem called "CoralStemWithNeurons" which as the name implies is a bundle of coral neurons attached to a single coral stem to me this implies the coral neurons (red) grow out of coral stems (the segmented axon looking one) to later detach and reallocate to where it's needed

I've known about this for a while and I've been meaning to make a post on it but i've not had time to draw the diagrams i want to draw for it; so here's a quick post with screenshots so I can reference it later

3D Model Of An Arctic Shufaet, My Fictional Species ~

3D model of an Arctic Shufaet, my fictional species ~

Made in Blender.

Their idea is old and they (as well as other related species), appeared in some of my older art, but I haven't worked with their lore and design much. At some point they became so insignificant that even just their existence in canon was questionable.

But some time ago one of them appeared in my newest story as one of the main characters, so I tried to make a model for this species, while trying to figure out who they are and how to depict them. I usually perceive them as some "alternative wolves" from my world, but in fact they are some their very own thing.

They are quite huge solitary predators from distant northern lands, still quite mysterious though and not really willing to reveal their secrets (they are known as unfriendly loners, so this is natural)

They are also drawn to crystals - in one of my previous posts I hinted that a Kotie should be careful when wandering through the crystal cave, as there are some other creatures who are attracted to such places. And so, I can finally show you who these creatures are :)
