Favorite media genre by far has to be “no trust me, there’s nothing I can tell you or do to prepare you for what you are about to witness.”
Two pixelart I menaged to cough up and one normal art piece that I made to try and battle my horrid artblock.
Sorry for any grammatical war crimes in advance, the thingy that checks my grammar is dead and I have no clue if im making any or not(dyslexia or whatever it is called in the english laugage moment)
The slugcat here is one of my OC's called Stormchaser(this is the only artpiece I have of them) in a fanregion called "Deluged shipyard", its near one of my Iterator OC's - OAR (Outlook After Rain) also called "Oarfish", if you look close enough you can see him up there in the clouds in the backround.
Another fanregion, this one is called "Afterglow Gardens", I for some unkown even to me reason I put Survivor in here even though theres no way for them to even end up in this region. Buddy, what are you doing in here?
This place is near US(my iterator OC not the damn United States of America)
This is the normal art piece, the region is called "Surge Barier" its located in a subregion called "Barren Interior", there's also this fanmade lizard I created that I have no name for yet (its based of a Dragonfish and an olm, its like an unholy baby beetwen a black lizard and an eel lizard that can shoot red lasers out of its eyes at you that mess up your vision) and theres Dune in the backround too.
Surge Barier is the unwanted baby of filtration system, drainage and Shaded cytadel that no one asked for. And it always rains here, and there's a flood mechanic in here too.
I played the Watcher DLC, and I can kindly say that I WANT MORE.
Here a screenshot
The game looked at me and said : "8000 fucking drillcrabs, eat this man", there was even more of them to the right. And my camouflage timer thingy was broken during the whole campain. didn't bother to fix it, it let me see it better.
i think it's fairly common knowledge that pebbles represents the brain and moon represents the heart? even if you haven't read the dev commentary it can still be gathered from context clues (primary cortex, the room names in lttm/submerged). i have thought about this extensively and i believe that if we saw no significant harassment in-game his superstructure would be themed around the lungs.
in the dev commentary itself, andrewfm says this
and while the canonicity of downpour is debated i'm going to assume it's 100% canon for the purpose of this analysis. this statement tells us that the organ moon and pebbles are associated with directly correlates to their characters, instead of simply being related to the function of their superstructure.
now vanilla doesn't give a whole lot of nsh lore past the lore pearl that hunter carries in their campaign, but downpour gives us quite a bit more during spearmaster's campaign with the introduction of the broadcast tokens. many of these broadcasts consist of nsh trying to talk things out with and help seven red suns, who is feeling guilt over causing both pebbles' and moon's predicament. this, coupled with the effort he took to save moon, shows that he is a very caring person (despite possibly sending feet pics through pearl?).
the most basic explanation of nsh lungs is pretty much just "he resuscitated moon, i.e providing oxygen to the heart". however i brought up the broadcasts cause i think it goes a lot deeper than that --- his role in the story is to save everyone else, in a way. it's more subtle than that, because rain world's story is largely told through implications and guesses, and it tells us that he goes out of his way to help out his friends. he sends a message to pebbles telling him to stop acting so childishly, and while he probably only sent this with the intent to help moon, the outcome is still that he is trying to get him to stop being so self-destructive. he helps everyone because that's who he is, and the fact that he supplies this assistance to people is what makes him the lungs.
there's also much to be said about him and hunter and why he didn't send an overseer after hunter to guide them, but that's mostly unrelated so i'll leave that for another rant .
if you've been hearing less about gaza lately, it's because most of the journalists are dead. hassan eslayeh, who was murdered yesterday in his hospital bed by israel, had 351 videos archived on tiktokgenocide.com (an online archive of israeli atrocities i recommend you browse). this single journalist alone had contributed 351 videos. the same database lists that 252 journalists have been killed in gaza since october 7th. the cpj's archive of journalists killed is 178. they have a more conservative and less accurate estimate since they have less information on those media workers who work with local outlets.
regardless of the exact number, the number of journalists killed is so high that it is markedly affecting the footage and documentation we have coming out of gaza now. let me prove it to you: 70 people were killed today, May 14th 2025. did you know that?
had a silly thought/headcanon about rain world as implied by The Watcher (spoilers for the main ending!)
so we've seen that the ancients all had pretty long names (like Six Grains of Gravel, Mountains Abound), and while the iterators follow the same general naming scheme, they're much shorter (Five Pebbles/Unparalleled Innocence/etc)
assuming Spinning Top is her canon name and not just a nickname for the code, to me that implies the ancients' children were given shorter childhood names, and received a full name once they reached adulthood—especially since Spinning Top seems to be named after her favourite toy.
the name Spinning Top also lines up with the short naming scheme of the iterators. in vanilla, there's already reference to the fact that the ancients were the iterators' parents, even if only symbolically. based on these things, it can be assumed that the iterators were named as if they were ancient children!
i always adhered to the headcanon that the iterators' puppets were child/doll-sized and that slugcats were small, which is somewhat reinforced in the Watcher's main ending; i still interpret the room sizes as being exaggerated, and also that the shadows are being stretched by the direction of the lighting. i also uncharitably thought this was deliberate so that the ancients could feel powerful next to their creations, but now i think it's more likely it was done out of fondness.
it could also be symbolic, to show how the iterators don't age the same way fully organic beings do, and they've been stuck with their Big Task for all eternity... but that's reading into things.
more rw scraps?! more likely than you think

You cannot take from us what we never had.
You cannot lead us back to where we have already been.
We look ahead, we look behind.
No trace of myself remains.
Only the remnants of us, crudely stitched together.
So, are we so different?
Do not have my thoughts together but a take on iterator puppets being literal puppets
Leaning more into the biomechanical aspect of iterators also
have u been looking to ur moon recently
they actually have very different styles between each other!
F05 Comparisons. Actually, in Fetid, the Ripples show Salination. This does not happen the other way around
Here's a side by side
You notice how Fetid's F05 doesn't have a top on it, and almost looks as if it was BUILT that way?
Here you can see the ripple showing salination, despite it being entirely different in Fetid
This entire area resembles Salination, yet the style of Fetid everywhere is completely different! Fetid has karma glyph terrain, bridges, large mushrooms, big fans- and Salination doesn't have any of these
There's even other some differences too!
These two rooms are connected, when previously they were seperated
The pipe in F10 is flipped
F12 is missing connections to F11
And some other very very minor differences in rendering and decor of course, but thats not as meaningful
The moment you leave this area and into E05, the tiling goes right back to the Fetid style- the fucking karma glyph flooring.
ALSO!
This area has the gilded wind of Shattered Terrace. Which is not seen anywhere else through the game, meaning that the connection to Fetid into Terrace is a lot more noticeable or prevalent
And you may also notice that Fetid is the only place with naturally spawning Rot Lizards and Sentient Rot, as well as a hidden lobetree
So what do I think happened instead?
I believe that Watcher takes place within the imagined realms mentioned in the Karma Flower dialogue. Each warp region is a bubble reality formed from memory patterns within the strands
So possibly, the bubble realm that contained Salination may have "crashed" or leaked into Fetid, possibly BECAUSE of Shattered Terrace (which is basically Spinning Top's little home, and they may have been the one to cause this)
And because Salination crashed so hard into Fetid, it created a false memory, and also caused Sentient Rot to possibly leak into the region as it begins to unfold and show its true cerebral nature
