My Journey to Escape the War in Gaza

My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.

The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.

I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.

Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.

I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.

Fetid is not actually a "Future" or "Alternate Universe" Salination

they actually have very different styles between each other!

F05 Comparisons. Actually, in Fetid, the Ripples show Salination. This does not happen the other way around

Here's a side by side

You notice how Fetid's F05 doesn't have a top on it, and almost looks as if it was BUILT that way?

Here you can see the ripple showing salination, despite it being entirely different in Fetid

This entire area resembles Salination, yet the style of Fetid everywhere is completely different! Fetid has karma glyph terrain, bridges, large mushrooms, big fans- and Salination doesn't have any of these

There's even other some differences too!

These two rooms are connected, when previously they were seperated

The pipe in F10 is flipped

F12 is missing connections to F11

And some other very very minor differences in rendering and decor of course, but thats not as meaningful

The moment you leave this area and into E05, the tiling goes right back to the Fetid style- the fucking karma glyph flooring.

ALSO!

This area has the gilded wind of Shattered Terrace. Which is not seen anywhere else through the game, meaning that the connection to Fetid into Terrace is a lot more noticeable or prevalent

And you may also notice that Fetid is the only place with naturally spawning Rot Lizards and Sentient Rot, as well as a hidden lobetree

So what do I think happened instead?

I believe that Watcher takes place within the imagined realms mentioned in the Karma Flower dialogue. Each warp region is a bubble reality formed from memory patterns within the strands

So possibly, the bubble realm that contained Salination may have "crashed" or leaked into Fetid, possibly BECAUSE of Shattered Terrace (which is basically Spinning Top's little home, and they may have been the one to cause this)

And because Salination crashed so hard into Fetid, it created a false memory, and also caused Sentient Rot to possibly leak into the region as it begins to unfold and show its true cerebral nature

this pearl is very very important here!!. & because of that pearl i do not think it's an iterator-specific clock, the citizens used it too. personally i think that 0000.001 would have marked some point around the start of the void fluid revolution or iterator era. the dates in the pearls seem to progress without any sort of reset so i doubt it's a yearly cycle. the pearl also says "the beginning of 1514.008", if it only lasted 1 minute i dont think they'd feel the need to say "beginning of"

moon did say she would wait as long as possible because forced communications are unpleasant for everyone in the network, and it took only 6 decimals for her to become desperate, so i feel like whatever a decimal represents, it isn't very short. in the eyes of an iterator, no she did not wait very long, but the same cant really be said for her dying processing strata

i'm not saying a cycle is 1 day, but using cycles to measure the decimals would mean that a 24 hour cycle made it 75 years that had passed. and if it were longer then it would be. like. actual centuries. saying that was mostly to emphasise my point about it being a long time that had passed. unless you say rain world people could live for centuries which feels not very plausible (i know they are technologically advanced and 1.5x-2x the size of a human or whatever but it feels a bit weird to say they can live that long) the decimals probably represent somewhere between a few days to a couple of weeks worth of time, depending on how old seventeen axes fifteen spoked wheel was when they got championship of the speaking tournament. it says they had memories from old age so unless you say they won the speaking tournament a few days before they ascended, the decimals definitely dont represent 1 minute

i assumed a rain world 'year' was 1000 cycles, so if a cycle lasted 24 hours then a year in rain world would equate to a few years in our world. so once the decimals reach 1000 it makes 1630.999 turn to 1631.000. the only word for time measurements used by characters ingame is cycles (i think) so i have doubts about there being a shit ton of different ones idk thoug </3 abnyway. to the iterators it wouldnt have felt like centuries that pebbles had been missing, it'd have felt a lot shorter than that, but it was still a long time. i think. maybe im wrong about all this. it's probably vague on purpose

does five pebbles often disappear for very long periods of time or something

suns. what do you mean "not in a long while" he has literally been radio silent for 27,552 cycles. i understand that iterators perceive time as faster than we do but what the fuck . is pebbles disappearing for tens of thousands of cycles a normal occurrence why were they so casual about it if you say 1 cycle = 24 hours (it is probably longer) that makes 27,552 cycles = 75.5 years. it only took 6 cycles for moon to become desperate enough to force communications with pebbles so she was probably dead by then as well. how did this even happen without suns having any idea about it. talk to other local groups a bit more jesus christ dude

Does anyone else struggle to keep up/remember the lore of RainWorld?

I mean two years ago I was obsessed with this game and remember alot but now since I been getting into RW again, I have seem to forgotten a lot of the lore and I don't want Fanon to skewer my view of Canon. Does anyone else have this similar problem?

Companionship

i think the watcher dlc definitely has its issues, but. oh my god. that final area. that beautiful, beautiful final area.

(major rain world: the watcher spoilers below the cut, of course)

i am obsessed with the window room in ancient urban. its thrown me back to the time when i first played rain world, the first ascension, that scene, thinking about it over and over and over again. i can't stop.

i know theres people out there who have spent hundreds of hours on rain world. i know theyve dug into every nook and cranny, poking into everything that they can, and i havent done that. my experience with rain world has been pretty surface level, but even still.

i dont fully know how to describe it. but spending 80 hours of my life exploring the ruins of this great civilization, wandering through the stuff theyve left behind, catching only remnants of stories and the lives that they might have lived, was beautiful. it was empty. it was lonely. i walked through their ashes and listened to their stories, but it was all after everything. they're all gone, and they've been gone for a long, long time. and they're never coming back.

but then you walk into a room, and you see them.

shadows beyond a window, faint voices, but you see them. they're right there, walking past, and their shadows loom and rush by and they're alive, they're alive, so blessedly alive, and you're nothing but a rat again, something wandering through their walls, and none of them know you but you know them, you've wandered through their ruins and heard their voices in their creations, and you know them, and now you actually get to see them and they're alive and i just

i want to cry. every single time i think about that room, i want to cry.

you see how different they all are, in their shadows. their voices are different from how you expected, but-- they sound exactly like the iterators do. of course they do. of course their children speak the same way as them.

they're there. and you know what's going to happen to them, you know what they're going to do, what they have done, and you know exactly how this is all going to turn out, but for a few, blessed moments, theyre alive. theyre alive again.

i just kept whispering to myself, staring. theyre alive. theyre alive. theyre alive.

i stood in that room for a long time.
