Aang VS Korra - Avatar: The Last CATbender - Fan Animation
When Iroh teaches Zuko how redirect lightning, he instructions Zuko to move the lightning from his arm, down to his stomach, and out the other arm. Iroh called the stomach the “Sea of Chi”, or a vast ocean in Irohs case.
In Zuko’s final Agni Kai with a Azula, he is able to redirect the lightning, but at great cost. Zuko wasn’t able to maintain proper form when he was jumping in to save Katara, and got hurt and a chest scar as a result.
My theory on how Zuko got that scar is this: Zuko didn’t have time to redirect most of the lighting through his arms. Instead, he caught most of it directly in his stomach. Then from the stomach, he could release it from his other arm. However, Zuko got very hurt because the lighting burned through flesh on its way to the stomach.
My Evidence: His chest scar is exactly over where his stomach should be.
“You and me, brother. The showdown that was always meant to be: AGNI KAI!”
Also, probably the best animated fight I’ve ever seen, a heart-wrenching tragedy, and also callbacks to All The Things.
You remember Zuko’s Agni Kai with Zhao? Remember his previous fights with his sister? Remember his 540 degree turn?
Well.
When Pokemon Go first started I wanted to be an NPC. I walk my dogs at least three times every day and people would be able to challenge me just like a NPC trainer in the games. I would only use Cat/ Dog Pokemon, and which Pokemon I used would depend on which dog I was walking. Unfortunately, Pokemon Battles weren't available in those early days, so over time I set my sights on a different goal. I decided to become a gym leader who used Cat, Dog, and Fox Pokemon. Anyone who beat me would get "the beast badge", which looks like a fusion of the three legendary Beasts.
New Emblem for my EarthBending101 series.
Let’s talk about Zuko. And since it’s October, let’s talk about “Creepy Zuko”. And how Ozai’s abuse has effected his children.
This might be a Very Unpopular Opinion, but I'm not overly worried about the creators leaving the Netflix Avatar the last Airbender remake.
Let me explain: Despite how much Mike and Bryan are praised, they didn't come up with everything good in ATLA. Like any project, they worked with a team and other team member contributed many things that fans love about the show. Good team member act as "checks and balances" to prevent personal biases from taking over, and to yield a better product.
Mike and Bryan made ATLA but they also made Legend of Korra. They made Korra without their full team and LoK wasn't as good. Because Mike and Bryan didn't have their full team, many of their biases didn't get ironed out of the final product. And because they were more in control, their inadequacies shone through. Thus, Korra's quality suffered because the creators aren't perfect, and they didn't have others to balance them.
Therefore, I'm not overly worried to see Mike and Bryan go because they aren't the source of all goodness. Just like with J. K. Rowling, maybe it's time for someone else to nurture the franchise.

Lesson 2: Physical Limitations
If you are a fan of animation/ anime, then you are probably familiar with the term “Shipping” or “Relation-shipping”. This is basically when you think two characters should be a couple and you “ship” them. As an Avatar: the Last Airbender fan, I am well aware of ships such as Zutara or Kataang. However, it’s very common for shippers to ignore “Romantic Intent”. Romantic Intent is when the characters are romantically interested in each other; this can be one sided or mutual. Romantic moments might lead to romantic intent, but the two aren’t mutually exclusive.
Being in a romantic situation (taking someone to dinner, hanging out with them, or giving them gifts) does not mean their intentions are romantic. They could just be a really good friend, or they might be a relative. For example, my sister and I did a lot of things together in High School, so many people assumed that we were dating.
Why I bring this up is because many shippers ship characters purely because “they look cute together”, or “they have so much in common”, or “I would love to see these two become a couple.” However, in their zeal shippers often forget that these characters might have their own desire and aspirations. These aren’t dolls to make do what ever you like.
Second, there’s often a huge amount of entitlement that comes with shipping, which I think is kinda funny. Whether Jill ends up with Bobby or Max, isn’t your decision to make. Stories are fun, and speculation is fun, but we the readers are really only outsiders looking into someone else’s story.
And even though these are just fictional characters, we can’t force someone to fall in love with someone else.
I’ve updated my “Sub-Element chart”. I’ve changed some of the names as well as changing the symbols for BLOOD and LAVA.
I think the AIR Subskills are the hardest to name. (namely MOVEMENT and VORTEX)
MOVEMENT (Previously AGILITY): Is the ability to control the air without moving your arms; such as when Aang flies on his glider. Airbenders also use this ability to run faster, stay warm, and even sense objects that are coming toward them. Because this is a very multifaceted ability, it’s hard to find a single word to describe it.
VORTEX: This is the most offensive ability in Airbending. An Airbender can shoot vortex rings to stun or blast an opponent. Airbenders can also compress the air and fire shock waves. A good example of this is when Aang blasted Azula off of the Fire Nation Drill.
If you guys can think of any better names, please let me know.
I’ve long wanted to make a fusion of the three legendary beasts (Raikou, Entei, & Suicune) which I refer to as “the fourth beast”. He is heavily inspired by the mythical “Pixiu” from China. The Pixiu is a god of wealth, which goes nicely with Pokemon “Gold” and “Silver”.
As you can see I used elements from each of the three beast:
Raikou: I kept much of Raikou’s face along with his stripes.
Entei: I kept Entei’s cheeks and repurposed with back spikes into the wings of a Pixiu.
Suicune: I repurposed Suicune’s horns to resemble that of an Chinese dragon. Suicune’s spots combine with Raikou’s stripes to form rosettes. And lastly, Suicune’s ribbon tail gets turned into long Chinese dragon whiskers. (Which isn’t shown here)
(Ironically, every time I look at the drawing on the far right, I think of a water dragon.)
“The fourth beast” represents the steam from the Burned tower as the fire went out. Thus his typing is Fire/Water. On his back is a cumulus cloud for fair weather, but it can easily grow into a cumulonimbus.
