I really hate doing this but I'm desperate. My cat Grayson injured himself and cannot walk on his back legs. We went to the emergency vet today and they charged $500 and we have no answers as to what happened to him other than "it might be a spinal issue". $180 just to walk in and the rest went to bloodwork. He's on an antibiotic and steroid medication for the time being, but still needs X-rays and possibly an MRI.
Unfortunately, this visit maxed out my credit card and I cannot afford any more medical care for him, so I'm asking if you can, to please subscribe to my Patreon to help us out. Even if it's just a one-time donation, I would be so grateful and so would my baby boy. I have nothing left and would literally rip my heart from my chest if it meant Grayson could be happy and healthy. This plea is my last resort.
I got Grayson years ago when he was nine months old, a scared little boy who came from a home with over 30 other cats. He was tiny, neglected, and terrified of everyone and everything. It took so long to gain his trust and even now, ten years later, he still has anxiety and runs and hides when scared. Until now, he has always been a healthy cat who enjoys playing with wand toys, catnip, and his favorite Temptations treats. I can't stand seeing him in pain like this.
If you are able, please please consider donating or subscribing to my page so we can hopefully help this sweet little guy out. The link is here.

The people of Ukraine are under attack. As game developers we want to create new worlds, not to destroy the one we have. That's why we've banded together to present this charity bundle to help Ukrainians survive this ordeal and thrive after the war ends. This cause has resonated with creators around the globe, to the extent that our bundle contains almost 1,000 games, tabletop RPGs, books, etc.
There's a charity bundle up on itch.io for Ukraine that contains nearly a 1,000 games, with all proceeds being split evenly between International Medical Corps and Voices of Children.
Please consider donating if you can, or by spreading the word! The bundle is up until the 18th of March.

As a leftist, it sucks that you can scream from the rooftops in the most patient and persistent way, even for years, and still be treated like an alarmist. ....But, that’s just how it kind of works. Leftists, radicals, revolutionaries.. they are the ones that push society’s ideals to the left. It’s happened all throughout history. Their causes end up being co-opted by liberals, and are compromised and watered down. Leftists want to end this cycle of exploitation, oppression, and settled amount of suffering. For good. And we really do have a chance at doing that at this point. We don't want to reform this system, because we've seen time and time again throughout history how reform is undone. That that's what compromising with capitalism always leads to, no matter how regulated and ethical you try to make it. That's why: Revolution>reform. That’s the biggest thing people need to understand.
Like with this past summer. It was the biggest civil rights movement in history. But ultimately, we're seeing it has only made a dent in terms of changing the system we live under as a whole. Democrats aren't doing dick because they don't want to fundamentally change things for the working class or any marginalized group. And progressives, like AOC and Bernie, who think they are noble in being in the game to fight it, are also finding themselves compromising like hell trying to push the most basic reforms. And although, certain systemic reforms are important, and necessary, long term reforms are not sustainable, and they're not enough.
Sometimes things really to have to get this bad for this long to truly wake people up. Trump. This pandemic. It made people who were distracted, stuck in complacent survival mode, affected to the point of understanding that it takes collective action to fundamentally change things. But this is the moment when many should be wondering ..why in god's name would we want to reform a system like this, and not create a new one?

This is a grassroots bundle by indie devs who want to help Palestinians.
All profit from this bundle will be donated to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. The UNRWA has provided food assistance for over one million Palestinians, and continues to do so in the territories with heavy destruction. They also provide emergency mental and physical health protection for those in the region. https://www.unrwa.org/gaza-emergency
Indie games are unique in that they can tell stories not seen in AAA or other games. We pour our life experiences into our games and share a piece of ourselves with the world. Palestinian game developers are no different in this aspect, but have the added challenges of limited access to basic services, like clean water, electricity, medical care, and food security. They live under Israeli authority that discriminates and subjugates Palestinians to the point of persecution and apartheid, simply for being Palestinian. Furthermore, they develop games without all the resources that come with being in a western hub for game development.
Palestinian game developer Rasheed Abueideh did exactly that when he made Liyla and the Shadows of War, which tells a story of a little girl who lives in Gaza during the 2014 war, in which 30% of civilian casualties were children. Liyla and the Shadows of War was showcased at IndieCade and A MAZE and earned numerous award nominations, including a win in Excellence in Storytelling at the International Mobile Gaming Awards Middle East/North Africa.
This bundle is pay-what-you-want (above $5 U.S. dollars) for Liyla and the Shadows of War, and you will receive hundreds of additional games, assets, and soundtracks graciously donated by game developers and media creators around the world for free. The bundle will run through Friday, June 11th. Together, we can raise funds for UNRWA for food and medical assistance for Palestinians AND highlight a game developer who is directly affected by the cause we are rallying behind.
