Started Ducktales a few weeks ago and promptly finished it because I love it so much 😭🙏🏼

The Ducktales 2017 art book has me back on my bullshit once again-

I found this concept design for Gyro, and I noticed this little detail I just love where he has a little pocket chain. Just a small detail, Y’know? Well I thought “Oh! That’s actually a cute little detail! Maybe I could incorporate that whenever I draw this nerd!” …Then it all kinda snowballed from there.

Because then I thought- What if it was a watch? Because I have a feeling he’d be the exact nerd to carry around a fancy little pocket watch with him.

So my whole headcanon I somehow gathered from this is: Gyro has this little pocket watch that he usually has on him. He wouldn’t typically admit it, but it’s a pretty sentimental item to him. Well, That’s all because it’s a gift that his father Fulton crafted and made for him back when he was younger. (I wanna say as a “good luck charm” before Gyro left for his Tokyolk internship. Y’know. Because.)

Am I pulling things out of thin air? Probably! Is this nerd on my mind way too much? Also probably. But is this fun? Hell yes.

As someone who’s socially anxious and talks with a stutter that can grow to comical degrees if I’m too nervous, I really like Donald Duck.

I especially love Ducktales 2017 Donald Duck— the Donald that perseveres despite his speech impediment, the Donald that redirected his anger from fear at never being understood into protective paternal rage for his family (both bio and found), the Donald that has always been stuck with all the bad luck but has always been crazy enough to just keep going.

To say it in the least eloquent but very contextually fitting way possible, this portrayal do be the Louie encouraging my despairing Donald Duck in the House of Lucky Gander.

There has to be some kind of irony in that a lot of those “choose all the x in this (grid) picture” captchas require a robotic kind of choice making. It’s usually like:

If: x = at least 1 pixel of box

- Then: click = yes

Those warped number and letter captchas are another story, though.

hiccup taught all the riders how to fly with toothless, that's so sweet

everyone is a flat earther except for the twins

hiccup almost directly killed a lot of people

and killed a LOT more when destroying their ships

dagur was bullied as a kid by a guy 8 years older than him who literally tattooed an imagine of him beating up little dagur in his arm??? What was that all about

actually we need to talk about how messed up everything about dagur is and about how the things that could've/did happen(ed) to him may be the reasons why he's Like That
