The president kicked things off with the classic RBG embrace, and a corny Iowa joke. He delivered a powerful rebuke to Donald Trump, called for making college education more affordable, and dissed climate change deniers.

The heroin epidemic earned a critical mention in the president’s address, and Obama revealed “one of the few regrets” of his presidency.
