all the (presumably) underage fans from tiktok acting inappropriately in the live chat during the dan allen gaming interview w neil ellice and samuel roukin honestly has me so disgusted 🫠 i watched about half the interview and stopped because i found myself a bit disturbed by some of the stuff i was seeing

there is a fine line between finding a character/actor attractive and going out of your way to borderline sexually harass someone in a comment section/live chat. the fact the chat had to be TURNED OFF at one point speaks enough.

the thing is too i know the people that are behaving this way are most likely from tiktok because there has been a trend for a while now where whenever the quirky side of tiktok finds their new little character to obsess over/sexualize, they have to take it to a whole new level and make it not only about the character, but the actor as well. it’s so strange to me the way these young fans act online towards grown ass fucking men. there’s nothing wrong with pointing out someone is attractive, but blatantly making inappropriate remarks and asking stuff that’s not appropriate? not okay. this pretty much happened with paul dano back in the spring and joseph quinn during the summer, and now there’s this craziness.

and i will also say this (and i know this probably won’t be taken well by some people), but if roles were reversed and these were two women and a bunch of young men were saying stuff along the same lines of what’s being said to ellice and roukin, these men would be called out for being “predators” “sexual harassers” blah blah blah.

if you want to sexualize and ogle over a character so be it! they are not a real person. but if you’re going to go out of your way to be weird to real people you need to seriously reevaluate some of your life choices.

this isn’t a matter of “gate keeping” either, it’s straight up inappropriate and gross behavior :/

Today is the first day of the weeklong strike for a ceasefire in Gaza.

I have realized that I do not think the message has spread far, at least on this website. This might be due to the lack of internet in Gaza, it has been down for days. Not much can be said by the citizens there, it's like some people forgot about them. I encourage all of you to share this post, or make your own, letting everyone know about this strike. This is something that should transcend the aesthetic of your blog. My blog was a gimmick blog, but for this week, it is a blog for spreading information and awareness.

Bisan Odwa (@wizard_bisan1 on instagram) has called for this strike. She is a journalist from Gaza, who has been experiencing this horrid violence for 15 weeks. 107 days. 2568 hours.

Here's as far as I understand why people either: support Russia, or, ignore Ukraine;

A lot of modern online 'leftists' believe that in ANY situation, America/The West is ALWAYS the bad guy. Some of them don't even believe that countries OTHER than the West, can do imperialism, colonialism and invasion. This is idiotic.

As a symptom of this, all of these 'leftists' really fucking hate NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation), and think it's some violent tool of oppression and colonialism. I am aware that NATO is a tool of very complicated geopolitical motives, but as far I'm concerned, countries have to ASK to be in it, and it's just a defensive measure for smaller countries in Europe. Ukraine, for a long time, has been trying to get NATO membership, because for so many years now Russia has been fucking with its borders, and as time progressed, more and more Ukrainians have been voting in favour of NATO.

But because these people know nothing about foreign policy, they immediately think "oh because Russia ISN'T the West, then it's okay" and they follow aaalll the russian disinformation and propaganda (of which there is a LOT) and just,, completely ignore Ukraine.

A lot of leftists also are just.. really obsessed with Russia?? And the USSR?? They genuinely think that Russia has ANY right to tell its neighbouring countries what to do. A lot of leftists argue that Russia is doing this shit because it doesn't want Ukraine to join NATO. So???? This is not an excuse?? Ukraine is a sovereign nation, it has every right to join NATO. Russia needs to mind its own fucking business and stop meddling and bullying its neighbours, maybe THEN NATO won't really be needed. This is EXACTLY why Ukraine wants to join NATO! Because Russia is fucking with its borders!!

They think NATO is the aggressor. No. Ukraine has been ACTIVELY trying to join NATO, I think it even got declined BY NATO itself at one point!!

Also, a lot of people are just not aware of what is happening in Ukraine. Like the details of Russia directly funding the terrorist groups in Donbas. They don't know about Viktor Yanukovych, who was an elective for Ukrainian presidency, but was actively Pro-Russian and had connections to the Russian government, who tried to appease Russia, and when the people disagreed with him, he tried to quickly pass laws that would make it ILLEGAL TO PROTEST THE GOVERNMENT. He was later kicked out, and then fled to Russia, of course. They don't know the Russian Government's history of just lying, making baseless accusations, of silencing any voice against them, the corruption, propaganda, some of them don't even think the USSR did anything bad! Because in their head, if its not the West, then it must be okay!

And it sucks! Because now Ukrainian people are gonna suffer for it!
