Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has reported
concerns" that the Israeli regime has stolen
organs from Palestinian corpses, citing medical
professionals who have documented evidence of
"possible organ theft by the Israeli military," that
includes, "missing cochleas and corneas as well
as other vital organs like livers, kidneys, and
hearts" from bodies of dead Palestinians returned
by the Israeli military to southern Gaza.
The corpses subjected to organ theft were
themselves stolen from the vicinities of Al-Shifa
and The Indonesian hospitals in Gaza, as doctors
and journalists have reportedion Nov 18 and Nov 20.
According to Euro-Med Monitor, "the Israeli army
also dug up and confiscated the bodies from a mass
grave that was established more than 10 days ago in
one of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex's courtyards.
Although the Israeli military has returned many of
those stolen corpses to the ICRC, dozens remain in
Israeli custody. The theft of dead Palestinian bodies
has long been an Israeli policy that serves two
purposes: transforming the corpses into bargaining
chips for political gain and collectively-punishing
bereaved Palestinian families by depriving them of
the ability to give their loved ones proper burials.
The legality of such necroviolent practices has been
upheld both by the Israeli government and the
Supreme Court.
Reports of Israeli organ theft are not scarce
In 2009, The Guardian reported that "Israel has
admitted pathologists harvested organs from dead
Palestinians, and others, without the consent of
their families." (See also: CNN, NBC News, etc).
Euro-Med Monitor cites Over Their Dead Bodies,
a book by Israeli doctor Meira Weiss, in which it is
revealed that "organs taken from dead Palestinians
were utilized in medical research at Israeli
universities medical faculties and were
transplanted into Jewish-Israeli patients' bodies.
Euro-Med Monitor writes, "Even more concerning
are admissions made by Yehuda Hess, the former
director of Israel's Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic
Medicine, about the theft of human tissues, organs
and skin from dead Palestinians over a period of
time without their relatives knowledge or
approval.
People who have brought this issue to light have
continually been subjected to harassment and
punishment and accused of "blood libel.
One example of this is a Montgomery County
teacher who has been put on leave over social
media posts decrying Israeli necroviolence.
The Washington Post reported on this incident and
falsely claimed that "there is no evidence of organ
harvesting.," despite ample evidence.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has called for
"the creation of an independent international
investigation committee into organ theft
suspicions.

yeah, but you do mean 'loveless' like 'romanceless' right? Just cause you're not interested in a romantic partnership, and you're never attracted to anyone romantically, that doesn't mean you can't love your family and your friends. Am I understanding wrong? I feel like it's a widely accepted concept that 'love' isn't just romantic, it's about caring about someone, no matter if they're your family or platonic friend or your pet.

No, "loveless" means love-less. Another anon also asked me to explain as well so:

"Lovelessness" in the aro context comes from the essay I Am Not Voldemort by K.A Cook. The essay confronts normative ideas on love, its inherent positivity and what it means to not love. From the introduction, which brings up the question of non-romantic love:

This June, I saw an increasing number of positivity and support posts for the aromantic and a-spec communities discussing the amatonormativity of “everyone falls in love”. I agree: the idea that romantic love is something everyone experiences, and is therefore a marker of human worth, needs deconstruction. Unfortunately, a majority of these posts are replacing the shackles of amatonormativity with restrictive lines like “everyone loves, just not always romantically”, referencing the importance of loving friends, QPPs, family members and pets. Sometimes it moves away from people to encompass love for hobbies, experiences, occupations and ourselves. The what and how tends to vary from post to post, but the idea that we do and must love someone or something, and this love redeems us as human and renders us undeserving of hatred, is being pushed to the point where I don’t feel safe or welcome in my own aromantic community. Even in the posts meant to be challenging the more obvious amatonormativity, it is presumed that aros must, in some way, love. I’ve spent weeks watching my a-spec and aro communities throw neurodiverse and survivor aros under the bus in order to do what the aromantic community oft accuses alloromantic aces of doing: using their ability to love as a defence of their humanity. Because I love, they say, I also don’t deserve to be a target of hatred, aggression and abuse. But what if I don’t love? What if love itself has been the mechanism of the hatred and violence I have endured? Why am I, an aro, neurodiverse survivor of abuse and bullying, still acceptable collateral damage?

The author criticizes the idea of "true love" that is incapable of harm. Ze questions why we construct love in that way, and how it ignores and simplifies the experiences of victims of abuse ("It’s comforting to think that a love that wounds isn’t real love, but it denies the complexity of experience and feeling had by survivors. It denies the complexity of experience and feeling that makes it harder for us to identify abuse and escape its claws. It denies the validity of survivors who look at love and feel an honest doubt about its worth, as a word or a concept, in our own interactions and experiences.") Ze talks about being forced to say "I love you" to transphobic, abusive parents whose feelings of love was the justification for their abuse.

The core of what "loveless" as an concept is about is summed up in this quote:

There is no substantial difference between saying “I’m human because I fall in love”, “I’m human because I love my friends” and “I’m human because I love calligraphy”. All three statements make human worth contingent on certain behaviours, feelings and experiences. Expanding the definition of what kinds of love make us human does nothing but save some aros from abuse and antagonism … while telling survivor and neurodiverse aros, who are more likely to have complex relationships to love as a concept or are unable to perform it in ways recognised by others, that we’re still not worthy.

Lovelessness is against any kind of statement which quantifies humanity (and implicitly, human worth) in the ability to feel or act or experience certain things. Humans are human by virtue of being human, and nothing else. And, it is socially constructed! "Love" has no natural definition! Some people are not comfortable using "love" to describe positive feelings and relationships, and some people do not feel those positive feelings in general. And those people deserve the right to define their own experiences and their own relationship to the social construct of love.

In essence, lovelessness is both a personal as well as (in my opinion) a political identity, born from aro and mad experiences that challenges not just amatonormativity but all ideas that associate personhood and worth with the ability to feel certain things.

& as a note, there is also the term "lovequeer" which describes using the term "love" in ways which contradict mainstream understandings of what it means to love, and which kinds of love are considered worthwhile.

WOY- Short Story

Lets take a moment to imagine this:

Peepers walks up to some printers in a white room. Two Watchdogs are whistling with hands behind their back. As Peepers walks past them with papers in his hands, they bolt out the door. Peepers reaches the printers, and to his surprise, all the printers are broken, and there is black ink everywhere. Peepers gets angry and mumbles to himself. He walks out the door and into a different room, only to be met with another broken printer. Again, he gets angry, storming out. This happens several times, Peepers only getting more and more frustrated. (You know, the little squeak he does when that happens). Finally, he knocks on Hater’s door.

Hater: No, go away.

Peepers: It’s Peepers.

Hater *groans*: What do you want?

Peepers *walking in*: Sir, all the printers are broken, and these papers are really important, they must be printed.

Hater *looking slightly sheepish*: Oh. Yeah. I-I tried making some cool posters, but the stupid things wouldn’t work.

Peepers: Sir! And you tried on every printer?!

Hater: Uh, yeah?

Peepers sighs: I guess we’re going to have to go to the copy store.

Hater: WE’RE?! I DON’T HAVE TO GO! WHY DON’T YOU GO BY YOURSELF!?!

Peepers: Because I didn’t break all the printers, did I?

Hater: But I don’t wanna go!

Peepers: Come on, sir. They do say copy stores are fun.

Hater: Who says that?

Peepers *shrugs*: Everyone.

Two Watchdogs walk past the doorway talking to each other.

Watchdog 1: Dude, I’ve heard the copier store is the best.

Watchdog 2: Yeah, I’ve heard so too. You know, I wish I could go there someday.

Watchdog 1: Yup, same here.

Their voices fade out as they continue walking down the hallway.

Hater *grunts* : Ugh, fine.

Peepers *hand Hater dollar bills*: I need you to hold these for me. Remember, once we get off the ship, we can’t come back to the ship because I ordered the Watchdogs to go get fuel before they pick us up, okay?

Hater *looks up*: Huh? Oh, yeah, sure.

When the ship drops them off:

Peepers: Okay sir, where’s the money?

Hater: M-money?

Peepers: Yes sir, the money I gave you in order to buy the copies.

Hater: Oh. T-that money.

Peepers: Yes, sir. Where is it?

Hater: Umm… On my bed.

Peepers: S-sir! We needed that! I told you we couldn’t go back because the Skullship needs fuel! Now what are going to do?!

Hater puts a finger on his chin and thinks. Finally, he removes it and smirks.

Hater *smirking*: I think I know this planet.

Peepers *looks up*: You do?

Hater: Yeah, and I remember there was a way of getting things for free.

Peepers: Really?!

Hater: Oh, definitely.

Hater bends down and whispers in Peepers ear [(?) side of head?]. Peepers looks shocked and slightly angry.

Peepers: No! There is no way I’m doing that! EVER!

Hater *points at Peepers threateningly with lightning*: That’s an order, Commander Peepers!

Peepers *sighs*: Y-yes sir. But are you certain there is no other way to do this?

Hater *rubbing hands together*: Oh, I’m certain, alright.

Inside the copier store:

Peepers walks down the aisle. Hater stands in the back, snickering with his hands near his face. Peepers turns to look at Hater. Hater looks upwards, arm swinging to the sides. He looks at Peepers and gives him two thumbs up. Peepers sighs before looking forward again. Hater goes back to snickering.

Peepers *doing full-blast puppy-dog eye (not eyes)*: Can you please print me 100 copies of this?

Peepers hands over the papers.

Cashier Guy: Sure thing there, buddy.

A Few Minutes Later…

Cashier Guy: Here ya go. *hands over papers and copies*. Have a nice day.

Peepers *doing puppy-dog eye*:  Thank you so much. Have a nice day!

Note: Hater was snickering into his hands the whole time.

Peepers walks out the door. Hater follows him. It was getting dark, the sun was setting. Outside, Hater bursts out laughing.

Hater *laughing a lot*: Y-you! Haha! You-you actually did it! Haha! Noo! Haha! And it actually worked! Hahaha!

Peepers *slightly shocked before he gets annoyed*: Y-you mean you- *sighs* Of course you did. Let us NEVER speak of this again!

Hater *calming down*: Haha. Sure thing, C.Peeps. This will be our own little joke. I couldn’t have anybody else in on it… But I never will forget about it.

Peepers *rolling his eye*: Of course you won’t.

They both walk into the arriving Skullship, and it takes off. Meanwhile on the other side of the planet…

Sylvia *looking at Peepers on her phone*: Oh! Haha! This will be the end of him! I’m NEVER letting him forget about this! Hahaha!

So! I was kinda bored lately, so I decided to make my own palette challenge. I wanted to have it WoY temed, so I used the wonderful backgrounds from the intro as inspiration for the various palettes.

These are the rules (they’re in the last pic but I’ll write them here too just in case):

- Pick a name + a number

- Pick one (or more) character from the fandoms listed in the tags

- SEND IN THE REQUESTS

Everyone can reblog this, but please don’t repost! Have fun and send a lot of requests!
